You know, the guy that voices Plankton originally tried out for the voice of Spongebob. They liked his voice so much, they hired him for a different character since they chose Tom Kenny for Spongebob. Imagine if Spongebob's and Plankton's voices were swapped.

If you're curious why this was re-uploaded, in the previous video the placement of the Muse Dash video was off at 6:12, the zoom joke at 12:45 wasn't corrected so the rest of the video was 2x2 pixels wide, at 20:30 they cut it before Lyle screams similar to the Hulk, and the toilet joke at the end originally had Chris drowning a woman that was missing since 2003.

It is not clear if Chris is trying to save her or is attempting to drown her, as Zach is hanging onto his back and screaming like a Sanksquash the whole time. It's quite the struggle.
The part where Lyle starts talking about how he's "owed some extra" is pretty cut and dry, though. Shame he said he decided to finger Corey on a bus to Missouri as his form of payment, though.

Arin's jokes boil down to one of like 4 things:
He'll fart, say a random word in a weird way, start randomly beatboxing, or once in a blue moon, actually make a joke with a half decent punchline. His humor has gotten so much worse over time, and he's exhausted basically every avenue he can in terms of life stories to keep Game Grumps interesting, which is a natural consequence of doing like 3 10 minute episodes of a let's-play a day for like almost a decade. Back in the day, when Jon naturally bounced off of Arin by being antagonistic, and even early Dan reacting to Arin doing weird shit, he was much funnier. But nowadays he's like a cynical, low energy version of his old self. He isn't funny anymore, not because he's not edgy, but because he's just boring and kind of an ass when anyone disagrees with him, and not in a funny way. I dunno maybe it's just me growing up, but I can still go back and cackle like an idiot at the Jon era of Grumps. I really can't with the newer episodes.

Hey guys Peter Griffin here to explain the funny videogame inconsistency: The reason why Mr. Krabs sounds like a 40-year-old Iowan is because his voice actor didn't want to voice act in a Spongebob game after the colossal failure that was The Revenge of the Flying Dutchman game
I thought it had more to do with him declining it because they wouldn't pay him enough.

I think the reason he doesn't like it is because if they just respawn when you die then it doesn't really matter if you go out of your way to collect specific ones you could just die and cheese the game, at least thats what I'm getting from it, I've never played this game

I regularly come back to this video solely for the first fifty seconds alone. Just something about Zach showing concern towards a fictional anthropomorphic sponge character getting back pains from a looping idle animation. Brings a tear to my eye.
I'm willing to admit I've got some nostalgia for this. But "this is the most generic game people just liked it because they were kids" is probably a sentiment best saved for after you enter the first level.
Ryan Hand I wasn’t big on this episode because it felt too preachy on “yeah this game isn’t actually good and it’s just nostalgia.” It’s a great little game, not the worlds best, but certainly a fun time.

Not to write a whole essay about the masterpiece of this game but it definitely gets better past Jellyfish Fields. I think since its the first world it's just trying to get lil babies like me comfortable with the controls since this was a lot of people's first 3D platformer.

There are speedrunners for literally every game.
But this game has a huge speedrunning community. There are all sorts of crazy skips and exploits you can do in it.
it doesn't seem like the kinda game that's good for speedrunning, unlike mario 64 which has a bunch of different movement options

There is a movement glitch where you are able to trick the game into giving spongebob the speed of his bubble missiles, which lets you speed around the map. There is also a glitch where you are able to walk out of bounds forever, if you call the taxi for a loading zone, while also out of bounds and being grabbed by Hans, the hand. Most of the glitches are very hard to accidentally find casually.

as someone who grew up with this game and is blinded by nostalgia, please play through this entire game shitting on it the entire way through and putting funny voices on all the characters.
I'll never understand why big game companies can never get decent impersonators to replace do the actors that don't reprise their roles. There's a dozen people on RUclips alone who can do Mr. Krabs voices that sound identical to Clancy Brown, there's no way it's that hard to find a decent voice actor for decent pay.
I guess they did it on purpose, they wanted to keep it close to the original apparently. Still an odd choice though

20:26 well you see lyle spongebob is conically immune to almost all physical damage and can bounce attacks back at his enemies due to his spongy body so he would put up quite a fight against Goku, BUT we don't have any evidence that he is immune to energy based attacks like Goku's kamehameha. So therefore I believe goku would win 9 out of 10 times, the only chance spongebob could have is if Goku fails to understand his abilities and wears himself out with his own punches.

I know nobody asked but This game was pretty special to me. My friend and I were obsessed with Spongebob and we would watch the movie and play the original game all the time. She unfortunately died a few months ago from a Drug overdose so it's sort of nice to see my favorite funny boys playing it

This is honestly my favorite game. And while I don't think the remake did the original the justice it deserved, it was still enjoyable playing through it again. I'm glad you guys are playing it.
Rehydrated really made me appreciate the original even more. I think the only thing I think the remake did better is the visuals and animations, (which they should be, 2 console generations later) and maybe some minor preferences. I still had fun playing through it again, because of the level design, controls, and game mechanics. Even if the controls and mechanics feel slightly different, as well.
@@zanpakutoman4225 Completely agree. Sure it looks alright, but the charm from the original is gone with this remake. Makes me want to play the actual original.
i definitely prefer the more washed out colors and dirtier look of the original.
@@zanpakutoman4225 the animations I agree are leagues better, but the whole thing was too bright and the goo from overhead looked like a windows blue screen of death. Not a huge fan of the new spongebob design either, but I get trying to get younger fans into the game
The controls were definitely tighter, but that made things a little bit too easy compared to the original imo, especially on the sliding portions. They also added projectile markers for every enemy, making it even easier still. I tried to make the game harder by avoiding the golden underwear, but I still had no trouble on parts that I remember being a challenge, like Mr. Krabs dream and the final boss fight. Once again I get it, but at least have the option to play it like the original.
