Since this all started, he's been locked out of the firehouse as well as city hall. This resulted in the death of an elderly woman who experienced cardiac arrest, as he was delayed in getting the defibrillator from the department.

Twice for my niece's college basketball game 🏀 and one for a small business venture where ladies could purchase good night attire and novelties for the bedroom. It was hosted by a friend of mine, not my business though, anyway the Caucasian women that came to they're friends house were so much fun! They never showed any signs of prejudice or hate, but that was one part of Alabama though. I've heard that it was a racist place but what place isn't? I see the world much differently now that everyone has literally come out to say that they hate me and other black people simply because we we're born with this beautiful chocolate colored skin. When the first black mayor was elected in Chicago, many aldermen in the city council, almost all white, determined they wouldn’t work with him. You could tell from their names they were all descendants of immigrants. While in his second term, Mayor Washington died from a massive heart attack and the city went into mourning. It was then that many in the city realized the kind of man he was; he tried to unite the residents of Chicago not divide them. Fast forward many years, Chicago commissioned the building of a new main library building. The library is named the Harold Washington Library Center. What happened to those who opposed Mayor Washington? One by one, they lost their seats in the City Council. They’re all forgotten, but not so our honorable Mayor Harold Washington.

I'm black and was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. Anytime i go back home, i hear people complain about the things that they do not have enough of. Change will only come when you make it happen, sitting down complaining isn't going to get the job done and i'm happy to see someone like Patrick Braxton take a stand in his town to make a difference. Twice for my niece's college basketball game 🏀 and one for a small business venture where ladies could purchase good night attire and novelties for the bedroom. It was hosted by a friend of mine, not my business though, anyway the Caucasian women that came to they're friends house were so much fun! They never showed any signs of prejudice or hate, but that was one part of Alabama though. I've heard that it was a racist place but what place isn't? I see the world much differently now that everyone has literally come out to say that they hate me and other black people simply because we we're born with this beautiful chocolate colored skin. I feel for the black mayor who never got a real fair chance to serve and I hope that he will still pursue the job and get legal help on the matter. You could tell from their names they were all descendants of immigrants. While in his second term, Mayor Washington died from a massive heart attack and the city went into mourning. It was then that many in the city realized the kind of man he was; he tried to unite the residents of Chicago not divide them. Fast forward many years, Chicago commissioned the building of a new main library building. The library is named the Harold Washington Library Center. What happened to those who opposed Mayor Washington? One by one, they lost their seats in the City Council. They’re all forgotten, but not so our honorable Mayor Harold Washington.

I'm black and was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. Anytime i go back home, i hear people complain about the things that they do not have enough of. Change will only come when you make it happen, sitting down complaining isn't going to get the job done and i'm happy to see someone like Patrick Braxton take a stand in his town to make a difference. I just wish younger people would have the knowledge, courage, and will power to get up and do something, its always our parents or someone older making these changes.
I take it that a deep seated fear among blacks in cities like these go back to the time of slavery. Otherwise how could a town with a roughly 80% black population not have overthrown this oppressive system a long time ago?
The problem with Birmingham? It began as NEW SOUTHERN money. Montgomery was untouchable due to OLD SOUTHERN money. Then, Birmingham elected a Black Mayor, who then, like this small town Mayor did…appointed his ENTIRELY Black administration. What happened to Birmingham? They filed for bankruptcy. Watch out…you might get what you asked for - PURE corruption. No one plays the Blacks better than Blacks. They play the race card on themselves.

I can’t believe this sort of thing is still happening. Where’s the protesters? Why hasn’t the federal government stepped in to stop it? It’s hard to believe someone would think they can get away with locking a legally elected mayor out of the town hall. It’s absurd! Hopefully now that what has been happening in Newbern, Alabama has been broadcast nationwide, the newly elected mayor will receive the support he needs.
