He's just trying to act intelligent to cover up his dumbness
He's just pretending he has friends
It’s because he has little mans napoleon complex and has to refer to the players as if he’s the manager addressing the players personally. Same reason he drinks from his water bottle after each game - as if he’s just stepped off the pitch and quenching his thirst after a gruelling 90mins on way to the coach.
