Watching the Sharks for the last 2-3 years has felt like torture. The team is very fun and exciting to watch now. Can't wait to see what happens in 3-5 years time.
@@SSHockeyCagnoni, bystedt, musty, Haltunen, furlong, pohlkamp, mukamadullin, bords, graf, the list can go on. A lot won’t make it like how they are supposed to I’m aware but it’s a lot of decent to good talent.
I love Celebrinis 2 way play. True 200 foot player. I'm definitely not setting expectations THAT high though... we need to just let him develop his game and keep the load off of his shoulders.
@@Ripok1991 Possibly, but Philly does have a lot of decent depth and was fringe playoff team, Sharks and Hawks lack that. MM also got benched for poor play
@ absolutely! Just recently was at the retirement ceremony of Thornton’s jersey, another landmark in Sharks history. The legends game the day before was even more epic!!🦈🦈🦈🦈
He hasn't received as much publicity as Connor Bedard, but I think he'll be even better (not to take anything away from the young Blackhawks' exceptional talent). At just 18, what he can accomplish on the ice is nothing short of prodigious. I think Celebrini is “the next big thing”!
I watched him lead his team in scoring as a sophomore on SSM's top prep team (runners-up national champs) and knew he'd be a top pick. Then watching him set the rookie scoring record in the USHL with 17 games left in the season, which is only 54 games I believe. He's the next Crosby IMO who also played a SSM's too
“Uh oh his point streak was snapped in a 8-1 loss to Tampa without Kucherov - so he’s obviously a bust, what’s wrong with Celebrini?!?!?” Is the narrative that every NHL media is now gonna say about him after the loss. But as a Sharks fan, I’m happy he’s doing well and doesn’t have to face pressure in Toronto, Montreal or Chicago
I think he’ll get a little bit of leeway haha! But ya he definitely has less media pressure playing in San Jose, should be good for him moving forward!
Celebrini is fantastic, but you also have to consider the contributions and the confusion for the defense when he has Will Smith to go to (along with Granlund and the others) the defense has to chose who to defend more heavily which leads to more opportunities. With Bedard, its a little easier, he is the one guy the defense has to shut down, and even with Bedard's playmaking ability, he is having a tough start this year.
Some players in college hockey could play in the pros, the college game can be harder, they have intense, high energy games, competing very hard for the puck, there's not much cruising around like some NHL games, someone's on you quickly, so to prosper in Div 1 college hockey like he did, showed that he was more than ready, he's playing with top, savvy veterans. You need really good players around you and he's got a few good ones.
Considering his dominance, especially at 17/18, I expected big things. I assumed he would be getting tons of attention from opposing NHL teams (which he is), and I have to say I’m surprised he is performing as well as he is. Kids a gamer
And it always slows somebody down and affects their points per games played when they get hurt right off the seasons bat, and then when he came back it takes a few games to get back up to speed. Or it would look even better.
I don't see NCAA hockey. I formed my opinion of Celebrini based on what the experts were saying, about average by 1st overall pick standards. Early returns are he might be better than that.
Honestly the timing just worked out that way. I love hockey psychology and his content, definitely an inspiration, but I’m not trying to copy/steal from him at all. I’ve been wanting to talk about Celebrini for quite a while now
Well it'd be kind of dumb NOT to talk about Celebini right now, he's an 18-year old that's living up to the #1 overall pick status... Anyone who watched the Sharks last season vs this season can see that the difference is night and day...That doesn't happen all the time

When the next wave of Dickinson, Askarov, and co come into the NHL, the Sharks will be arguably the most fun young team in the NHL to watch!
@@SSHockey Don't forget Quentin Musty as well
As a Sharks fan I’m so excited for the future of our team with Celebrini and the rest of our young talent. Let’s go sharks! 👏🤘🦈
Celebrini, Dickinson, Smith, Askarov, Eklund… it’s absolutely unbelievable that list is only scratching the surface
@@SSHockeyI know, it feels so good to finally have a good future ahead instead of a purgatory like these last couple years have been for the sharks.
@SPRailfan4449 the light that was at the end of the tunnel has definitely been reached now

Fair enough. I think he’s going to be really special
Definitely one of the best 1st overalls to enter the league since 2015.
He’s electric man.
I'll say this, he looks better at 18 than Bedard looks at 19.
100%. I don’t know who will have the more impactful career, but I wouldn’t be shocked if both are top 5 players in the NHL during their prime.
I got mocked when I said he looks as good and more durable than Bedard due to his size
But Michkovs better that both

Finally its our time to shine.. As a sharks fan im hyped up for the future :D
I would be too. The young talent in the Sharks’ system is unreal

They’re both going to be incredible for the next 15+ years. The west is going to be a bloodbath between the Hawks and Sharks down the road 👀

Those are huge boots to fill, but hey I guess we’ll find out!
Thanks for this video. Very well done and informative. This Celebrini kid looks amazing. Some of those shots you showed are unreal.
Thanks I really appreciate it!
sharks got a bright future, loving eklund as well
Eklund is unreal. One of the most underrated players in the league
They are both the same person. How he manages the same playing times on different teams, is nothing short of a miracle.
Celebrini: known miracle worker

San Jose has never drafted a player like this. The closest would be Logan Couture, but Celebrini will exceed Couture's peak easily
I’d be incredibly shocked if Celebrini didn’t exceed Couture. Smith and Celebrini could be potentially be #1 and #2 when it’s all said and done
Cant believe us habs got Slaf… hes such a underwelming 1st overall
I still think Slaf is gonna be a stud. Probably not on Celebrini’s tier, but still a great player moving forward
Celebrini and Bedard is the new Crosby and ovi
Going to be an incredible rivalry for the next decade and a half
First time a 1st pick scored more than 5 goals in his first 20 games
There must be something else to that stat because that’s been done quite a few times

Oh 100%. People are forgetting how good Bedard is a bit right now.
Can't wait until both Bedard and Celebrini come home and don the Blue and Green
The western conference would be in shambles
May he end the reverse sweep curse and bring the cup to San Jose.

That seemed to be the consensus at the time. But with how well he has transitioned to the NHL, I think he’s above average. Still very early of course.
