I watched him lead his team in scoring as a sophomore on SSM's top prep team (runners-up national champs) and knew he'd be a top pick. Then watching him set the rookie scoring record in the USHL with 17 games left in the season, which is only 54 games I believe. He's the next Crosby IMO who also played a SSM's too

Celebrini is fantastic, but you also have to consider the contributions and the confusion for the defense when he has Will Smith to go to (along with Granlund and the others) the defense has to chose who to defend more heavily which leads to more opportunities. With Bedard, its a little easier, he is the one guy the defense has to shut down, and even with Bedard's playmaking ability, he is having a tough start this year.

Some players in college hockey could play in the pros, the college game can be harder, they have intense, high energy games, competing very hard for the puck, there's not much cruising around like some NHL games, someone's on you quickly, so to prosper in Div 1 college hockey like he did, showed that he was more than ready, he's playing with top, savvy veterans. You need really good players around you and he's got a few good ones.
