I would have had the possibility to save both BUT on 3rd playthrough at the earliest and the prerequisite on the previous 2 runs you had to have saved them both separately
You don't need to choose between Kaiden and Ashley to add emotional impact to the game. Mass effect is an emotional story through and through, having to make choices is emotional. They should have made it so you could save both, but as I always say, some people get hard on or wet dreams from think about how difficult it will be for others to make difficult choices, such was the case with Mass effect.
Lol actually thos shows you mentioned were only the tips of the iceberg that was the inspiration for Mass effect mom pointed out to me that they also took some inspiration from Star trek which was a TV series my mom grew up watching back in the fifties and sixties
I'm still convinced that the main antagonists in the trilogy should have been the Batarian Hegemony, with only hints about the Reapers and the extinction cycles scattered around the world. This would have solved the shonen syndrome we could have with ME4.
@@amouramarie the look of the default character of course, they must have had a reason to push that look since the face is customisable anyway. They could have used him in an N7 helmet in the ad material if it wasn't important to them.
I always play a Colonist Renegade background! What do you mean Batarians aren't the main bad guys??? The Reapers were just an excuse to rid the galaxy of that one infested planet weren't they!?
So... this looks like it answers a huge question I've had. Can you have Ashley guard the bomb? I've always gone with Kirrahe's suggestions for the matter and had Ashley go with him, then left Ashley behind. Since I never pair straight, and she's not down for femshep, I didn't miss her all that much. And with male shep I can pair him with Kaiden and have him flirt with Ashley and not have it come back to bite me in the ass. I like Kaiden's voice better than Ash's, though she's hotter in the new Legendary edition, so who knows... but I thought you had to follow the game's suggestions.
You can choose which of them guards the bomb and who goes with Kirrahe. You definetly should let the one you like the least guard the bomb, and always save Kirrahe's squad.
Saving both Kaden and Ashby on virmire should stay in the game. Should not be taken out. The player should get extra points for rescuing both Ashley and Kaiden on planet virmire.
I think they made up for it by allowing you to save both the Geth and the Quarians in 3. But I agree that it would have been nice to have the option. My guess is they couldn't figure out a logical way to explore that branch of gameplay, so they had to scrap it.
@@aarlavaan What do you mean couldn't find a logical way? It would have been easy. They just chose to make the player have to actually make a hard decision and live with it. It's more impactful the way it is, and they made a good decision. I hope they do more of this in the future. Catering to people that want everything to work out perfectly stymies the potential of games like this.
I bought it right after release and found it enjoyable. It's not as good as the original trilogy, it is more like a B movie in terms of enjoyment. So get it now if you want another story in ME to explore and don't mind to over look some of the roughness or wait till it hits the "walmart bargain bin" price so you know you'll enjoy it.
I finished mass effect 3 what a ending and I broke down I cried so much, I dunno why I think because the game demands so much emotionally from 1-3. I’m not ready to go back and do renegade from 1-3 yet. Loved trilogy though and I hope I chose a decent ending. I felt like I did.
I must sadly report that I have seen that terrible movie. I will give it credit for its technical achievements, but that is as far as I can go. it is truly an abomination. I can see the aesthetic similarities though. Glad Mass Effect had far better writing and story. Fun fact, ever heard of digital actors? There was a push for specific cgi characters to appear in other works, as an actor. Aki Ross, the main character in Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, was supposed to be the first. So the idea was to have Ming Na Wen, the voice actress, voice cast as Aki ross, who was cast as a character in the movie. so for example it would be Ming Na Wen voicing Aki Ross appearing as Bo Peep in toy story 5. So Bo peep would be as the character of Aki Ross would portray Bo peep, not as Ming Na Wen would portray Bo Peep. really glad the idea didn't catch on.

I had final fantasy movie on VHS as a child and watched it countless times
yea i didnt get any star wars vibes from this game, i got more of a halo vibe
Ya there are a whole lot of similarities
Mass Effect is 95% Babylon 5, with 5% of Battlestar Galactica stirred in. That's why it's so great.
I get more Star Trek than Star Wars vibes.
I think star trek is the biggest influence for mass effect
@@Revan-eb1wb tbh I don't know much about trek but ME has a lot of similarities with halo
Batarians feel like a KOTOR enemy for some reason, I'm kinda glad the Geth got the spotlight instead.
Omg thats Shepard.
I loved that final fantasy movie.
I see you allso had that screan fit problem in mass efect 3
I always let Rana go.
Even tho she's indoctrinated and end up killing a bunch a people in a terrorist attack
@@paleriderpalehorse55 yes
I dont
I loved that Final Fantasy movie.
My next male playthrough, l'm going to romanic Ash for all three games, since most people seem to hate her so much.
These are awesome! Thanks!
what about the fact that male Shepard is obviously inspired by Jack Shepard from the series Lost? (Among a few other details)
Huh? What similarities are there between Shep and Jack besides a common name?
@@amouramarie the look of the default character of course, they must have had a reason to push that look since the face is customisable anyway. They could have used him in an N7 helmet in the ad material if it wasn't important to them.
@@polygrind Hm. I guess I just don't see much resemblance.
Be ready for the PS6 remake of Mass Effect, where we finally get to kill both Ashley and Kaiden on virmire.😈
I always play a Colonist Renegade background! What do you mean Batarians aren't the main bad guys??? The Reapers were just an excuse to rid the galaxy of that one infested planet weren't they!?
I always felt bad for the geth. DAMN ORGANICS how dare they play god!
Well actually it was Sovereign who used them as tools.
Yea but I was referring more towards the quarians. Does this unit have a soul?
I actually like The Spirits Within. 🤷🏻♀️
I love spirits within
Kaiden... imagine being worse than Jacob. 😆🤣😂
If you saved Rana you get an message about her killing asari leaders or scientists or something like that cause she was indoctrinated.
U ok honey?? bwahahahaha.
Do u have a video for ME2 loyalty mission order
'science fiction x' sounds like a 12 year old got to make the game and wanted a title to make it sound 'cool'
I just wish that the citadel dlc was a full game, i know it has nothing to do with this video but whatever
You couldn't get him to say we'll bang Ok?
Intro said 5 cool facts lol
Yeah i kinda messed up with the script lol
@@MrHulthen happens to the best of us 😂
The only emotional impact killing kaiden did for me was anger. I shoulda been able to kill both
@@SuperSaiyan3985 both are annoying and question me about working with Cerberus in ME3
Where is Aria, in the final mission!!! 🤔
I really liked that movie...
1:42 Does this qualify as dometic abuse?
I just started ME2. Can I have loyal Zaeed and save hostages?
Yup! Just make sure your paragon points are up there
@@MrHulthen Ok. Oh, and I left Ashley to vaporize on Virmire. Like always, she is... fanatic for me
Yes, as long as you collected almost all paragon points available.
The earliest I did was before the 4th loyalty and before Horizon
I would still have let furniture store die. She's the absolute worst.
So... this looks like it answers a huge question I've had.
@@Hotobu I agree that it is better like this. Having the player make hard and impactful decisions is crucial to an interesting game.
Guys i want to ask. Does ME andromeda worth buy right now or should i wait for discount???
I bought it right after release and found it enjoyable. It's not as good as the original trilogy, it is more like a B movie in terms of enjoyment.
So get it now if you want another story in ME to explore and don't mind to over look some of the roughness or wait till it hits the "walmart bargain bin" price so you know you'll enjoy it.
Ok thanks for the info
It gets very repetitive but is fun. I bought it at launch so if you haven't played it yet, you might as well wait for discount.
I have that movie...... and I like it
Oh BioWare
Wait how do you get the clip with the hanar and the gun. I have never seen that
It’s from the ME3 Citadel DLC
After Citadel DLC main mission, meet with Javik on the strip.
The Hanar with the gun (a.k.a Blasto) is not even the best part of it:D
Bro är du Svensk ? I ask cos of NSven sq
Japp ;)
Supertrevlig 😉 Hälsningar från Kristianstad 😉
Andromeda still looks horrible. Animation changes can't fix awful character design.
The only decent ending to Mass Effect 3 requires a mod. Without that you're stuck with the circular logic Deus Ex Machina turd Bioware rushed out.
MS looking to buy Bioware off EA and EA is looking to offload, I hope that's not true, PS players should be able to enjoy the next ME and DA, does anyone know if MS has history with Bioware?
as in... they had exclusive rights to the first ME game so... yeah.
also, where did you get the info that MS was attempting to buy Bioware?
Pop in an original 360 version of mass effect. Microsoft Studios.
@@itsmefukker yes, as they published it.
Spirits within wasn't garbage. It was a very enjoyable movie.
