The Backstory: My girls spent a week near Houston this past summer reuniting with some very dear friends from their childhood. To see the devastation there certainly hits close to home for them.
Although their friends are fine, there are people literally losing everything - even their lives.
There were elderly people sitting in flooded nursing homes (see pictures at our fundraiser). I shared a story with my wife, Sonya, about how a 3-yr old was found in a canal clutching to her floating dead mother who had drowned trying to carry the toddler from their car after it got stuck in high water.
Sonya started to cry after hearing these stories and we decided as a family we needed to do something...anything. So here we are trying to give our friends and family an opportunity to help these people.
100% of the funds will be donated to Operation Blessing International here in Virginia Beach.
