While shopping for Shabbat earlier today, I picked up a bag of large, juicy American peaches. They weren’t on my wife’s list, but thanks to John, I couldn’t resist. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer!
Having been abandoned by Have I Got News For You, right on schedule, just as things became even more interesting, I will be looking forward with great anticipation to your July 2024 take on the world’s madness.
Major General Charles George Gordon, known also as "Chinese Gordon" and "Gordon of Khartoum" was a Victorian who dedicated his like to eradicating slavery in the far flung corners of empire. He also ran an English orphanage for street children, abstained from alcohol, and was a devout Christian. One of the great figures in British colonial history who could be called a progressive for his time.
Yeah, our family walked away from TV for 3 years. We don't even have a TV now, but we subscribed Goodfellows and some other channels. If we want to watch movies at home, we turn on the projector. 😀
Ah, the literary GoodFellows. Atkinson’s first American Revolution book was a true 5 star read, anxiously awaiting volume II, like I am Kissinger II (2025 🙏). As for Trollope, his Palliser novels have been a yearly companion for over 25 years. Years back, The New Yorker magazine published two short stories every issue. The skill in writing short stories is admirable.

What a treat! Thank you for sharing the good fellows POV on a good summer. Love all of you.
Great to see ALL the GoodFellows back! It's been like reuniting the Beatles lately.

Sense the competitive tension between Niall and Kotkin. Hope you guys maintain it together. You two are indispensable; both the very best.

Much enjoyed - nice to lighten up occasionally. Hope all your plans were successfully implemented, guys!

Congrats on your knighthood, Sir Niall!
When was he knighted?

Best wishes from Taiwan
The All In podcast just interviewed Trump. Well worth a watch. Similar format to Goodfellows.
Nothing on the Debate next week.this was the definition of frivolous!
US vs Scotland at rugby in DC on 12th July, surely a must do for HR and Niall?
Niall…sailing! Yes!
Just stumbled upon Cyberopolis after some deep research. The Times Square announcement caught my attention - anyone else intrigued by this project?
Love BTC the most, but it is time to put some into presales. Cyberopolis is the next big thing.
Niall Ferguson is so posh that his attempt at a broad Scottish accent was terrible, despite being Scottish 😂
I have to second John’s recommendation of Loury’s memoir. It’s hard to put down.
⭐
Enjoy the break Fellas 👍🇦🇺
I remeber when they were filming, precious young John John Kennedy was the tousled headed boy in the early beach scenes

First. Just 20 minutes?
Why?
H. R. was very busy, but found the time to have his eyebrows flocked.
Test comment.
Too long with the bios, guys. Remember, this is a wide audience that seeks solutions to problems and issues.
Snooze
Libations??? What is this, the Odyssey?😂
rick Atkinson is overrated
Christiane Amanpour just said McMaster will not be supporting Trump in 2024. True/False?
This talk was a waste of time - don’t care about your views on the seasons or daylight - have respect for the audience and get on with it
I love this episode. American value shines through.
Can you believe they had the gaul to disrespect Nick Chapman by talking about things they like? Maybe settle down on the self-importance, buddy
