- Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 has finally launched on Meta Quest 2 and 3! Today I check out some of the graphical differences in comparison to the PC version.
PC version running highest graphic settings.
Quest version running on Quest 3.
Both versions using default brightness.

People have pointed out that the Quest 2 version is basically identical to the Quest 3. There may be some load time differences but otherwise this comparison should be accurate across the board.
Its surprising how good it looks on both headsets. Quest 2 looks slightly darker and slightly lower quality but overall it looks just as good as I wanted it to look
I'd like to point out that the game is not using the quest 3 graphics. On the quest 3, they are still using the quest 2 textures/models and running at quest 2 resolution despite the trailer showing the quest 3 graphics and saying "actual quest footage" hope they realize that they have the quest 3 running with quest 2 graphics and make it what was shown as the quest 3 graphics.
The Quest 3 has no difference from the Quest 2 graphics because they intended on making it for Quest 2. Which left Quest 3 users with low poly textures that have octagonal eyes.
Yes, that's disappointing, that's why I think the games should only be released in quest 3 or if they want to be released in quest 2 then make a version for it weeks or months later.

@@superbanimations2890 I'm not saying that the game can't come out, but we're talking about hardware from 4 years ago, right? like time he already had, you can be sure that they will not create an improved version for quest 3 since there is one for quest 2.
that’s a shame, woulda been nice to see them take advantage of the new hardware. but it makes a bit of sense as I’m sure there’s a lot more quest 2 owners out there than quest 3s.
@@superbanimations2890 Quest 2 is 4yrs old its time to upgrade or devs need to build games over the quest 3 hardware and then the 2. Like thank God the arkham game is quest 3 exclusive finally time for the 3 to be utilised
It looks really good on quest other than some of the weird laggy animation, music man, bonk a bon, and the sun and moon models. But all of those are very minor and dont really ruin the experience. And theyre all very minor so they could easily be ironed out

It looks great, especially in comparison with help wanted 1. Only thing noticeabley different is the shadows, but that's understandable since it's on the quest. Very impressive!
I played it on pcvr though I’m impressed by how similar some parts look in the quest (I haven’t played it on quest only pcvr)
definitely, some areas really do look rly good
0:50 I actually like the quest difference better. HD version looks like you are looking through the eyes, while the quest makes it feel like you ARE the bot.
The meta version for the robot is noticeably more choppy

No matter what but i still think the quest does a great job with this game, I would say from my personal experience, the food prep can be a little laggy, the bonk bon is perfection and I love this game! such a major improvement from help wanted 1

Yeah, this looks like an extremely impressive port! I'd say besides the characters having noticeably less polygons, it's almost identical to the PC version! At the same time though, the PC version wasn't pushing visuals anyways and I have some gripes with it.

The only thing I need is someone to make a FULL play through if hw2 on quest without PCVR. Just the damn headset and that’s it.

I feel it’s weird that the psvr2 and steamVR record the left eye ONLY while meta records both left and right in the center.
@DeterminedBlade Steam looks okay, PSVR2 looks horribly un-centred on recordings
i have both and i prefer the PCVR version but i will say the controls are better on the quest at least for me, fazerblast’s throwing mechanics were actually impossible on PCVR, the only way i was able to beat the game was through modding a 100% save file

I'm hopefully going to be getting the game on my quest 2 in june so I won't really be able to tell the difference between the quest 2 and 3 until I get a Quest 3 lol
apparently the difference is 0 lol. there might be load time differences or whatever but graphically I think it looks the same across the board
@@MasterLord Nope, the difference is not 0. The Quest 3 can actually generate the glosiness while the Quest 2 has like a glossy material thing that isn't reactive to light and is just a material thing.
Funtime Freddy Looks A Lot More Unsettling. Especially On The Title Screen.
Worth mentioning though that it's made for Q2 and not 3, the game is not taking the full advantage of the better hardware.
The hardware in the quest 3 is TWICE i repeat, TWICE as powerful as the quest 2, so basically it's not even near the limit it's basically at the bottom of the hardware limit 😂 it's quite a new vr headset aswell (yes its reaching the 1 year mark)
why is there like a blue highlight on objects for pcvr but not meta
They all look good only problem I have on quest 2 is the loading times and they get shorter after the first few times
That's on quest 3 as well, remember steel wool suck at optimization
It looks way better on quest than Help Wanted 1 did
If use steam on the quest 3 it will look like an error image
I preordered the meta port back in December I thought the graphics would be better after that long 💀 (Still an insanely great game)
The graphics were edited to work best with the Quest 2, which ignored the Quest 3’s capabilities, as with most Quest VR games.
Lets hope secrets of the mimic takes quest 3 graphics

Yes, HOWEVER, make sure your computer is able to run PCVR links, because if not, you will not be able to use the steam version. VR games require a pretty strong and buffed up computer, something like a laptop or an office computer will most likely not work.

@@cherryfizzer4076 correct. quest version is the stand-alone version from the meta store, steam version has the headset hooked up to PC

quick question but if i got this on steam vr but i played it without an air link cable would it still lose quality?
I play on steamvr with a usb 3 link cable, looks great to me

Not gonna lie maybe it's just my preference but even for Quest 3 I still think it looks good, sure PC does look better I bet PS5 looks pretty good too, but Quest 3 looks pretty great to me still

Simple, it looks worse in the actual headset because the graphics were meant to be put with a Quest 2 and not a Quest 3. The enhanced lenses of the Quest 3 makes it easier to see imperfections and octagonal textures compared to the Quest 2 which messes with immersion.
@@MasterLord Textures and graphic quality aren't great with some object and animatronics. But others look great! I have the same problem with Help Wanted 1 :(((

i was so excited for this game that i bought a quest 3 when they announced it just to play it. while waiting for the release i played through and 100% completed help wanged 1 and loved it but was really disappointed with how low quality the game looked compared to pc and was amazed they never updated the game to take advantage of the quest 3's better performance. of course quest will never compare to pc, but help wanted 1 could have done so much better on quest 3... i was really hoping they would improve drastically for HW2. played for the first time today, and it's just as fun and spooky as I'd hoped it would be, but it doesn't look as good as I'd hoped. There's definitely a noticeable difference compared to HW1. The models look smoother, and the lighting is much nicer. everything seems much clearer, except for the UI, especially the pause menu. help wanted 1's one was awful, but it was clear, this new one feels so clustered with the control layout visual that has so much going on that it distracts from the actual menu options. anyways, loving the game so far, just felt like leaving my thoughts here for some reason

I’m currently playing it and it looks amazing like yeah there’s less detail like in the djmm segment it’s darker so the windows aren’t there (except for the back) but it looks amazing and it much better without a cord so 10/10 recommended (also ballora gallery is hard wtf)

yep, that happened to me too. We contacted meta support and they told us we never bought it when we did, so I had to spend alot of my money buying it again while meta keeps my money. Good game though
did it actually take payment? for pre orders on quest the payment does not go through until 24 hours before the title launches

@@FeitosaXG there currently is no non vr version for hw2, you can only play with a headset on quest, pc and playstation
