I've stick around till the end, and thank you ❤ for real thanks 🙏 If you could make a video of color grading or using lut in davinci resolve after converting the footage that'll be great as well
although it might sound stupid but i think this vid might be one of my favourite. the crop, no background music and the vintage look really go against the yt meta but i like that. i still got all the things i want to know abt this camera and that just great. also i found this camera with the kit lens go around 100 dollar but the catch is it wasnt turning on. might be and issue with the battery or sd card and what not. i thought i want to buy and fix it by myself but i would love to hear ur thoughts. if u reading this, hope things is going well for you and thx for listening to me rumbling 😊
Thankyou for the kind words! A faulty camera could be a number of issues... Hopefully something in the battery department which should be a straight forward fix. Beyond that it could be all manner of things. Best of luck though, a good little camera if you can fix it
That depends what you are filming or photographing. For me the best all around lens for video work on the 700D would probably be either the Canon 24mm f1.4 for the amazing low light performance and strong bokeh. (I film the talking segment of this video on the 24mm). Or perhaps the 35mm f2 IS from Canon. Not as much aperture, but Image Stabilised and when on APS-C its closer to a 50mm.
hello! i discover Magic lantern few weeks now and i have a question if you can answer please. what i mpressed with is the length of you talking to the camera. how much space (go) does this footage fill on SDcard what kind of SD card did you use? i mean the raw footage on you talking to the camera. and does it have overheating or something else. seeing this i have a feeling that i can trust ML and jump into it too. Thanks.
Overheating isn't an issue for me, and the file size will vary depending on what kind of Bit Depth and resolution you are using. But the files arent huge. I used the exact SD car I show on the video, a SanDisk Extreme Pro 64GB 170mb/s card
love the pace of this video. glad it was recommended to me. I installed ML and im just wondering what card/speed do you use? mine always stops recording after 10 secs. anyways, love your channel! subbed. would love to see your workflow using ML. edit: your footage is also beautiful!
There is section in my other Magic Lantern video covering SD cards and recording buffer issues. The best card you can get for Magic Lantern recording is any Sandisk Extreme Pro with a write speed of 170mb/s. My other video goes into this in greater detail!
@@superultragiggachigga Use the latest build from Bilal Fakhouri. With the latest hacks and the Sandisk Extreme Pro that Harvey Bridgewater mentioned, you can now reach write speeds of about 82MB/s, which is insane.
@@mrlightwriter do you also know anything about why my footage is kinda grainy and low quality when recording(I’m using the 700d as well)? Is that do you my slow card as well? I’ve done all the correct settings and the quality is lower than just recording in canons stock state.
Magic Lantern is very interesting! And now I'm a bit more cheerful I might try do a follow-up video exploring the shooting capabilities as well as basic instill stuff and working with the files
Like I said, if you want to colour grade stick to 14bit. If you aren't then 11bit down to 8 works fine. You can grade 11 bit down to 8, but you won't have the same freedom. It's entirely dependent on your needs
Unfortunately the 700D can't handle 4k output. And you'll need a fast SD card ideally, but with Magic Lantern you can hack the speed of the card, at your own risk

Amazing! Does autofocus when recording video work well with ML?

@@HarveyBridgewater thank you! That makes sense about the card because I googled this the one I have and it’s 20mb/s lol. Appreciate you’re response

Magic Lantern is really interesting. Your channel too!! I am going to try the raw but I think I will need a new card hahaha

@@HarveyBridgewater Nice! Thanks again!
can u both take pictures & film with this RAW ?
RAW photos are already possible without Magic Lantern installed. The software only effects the video performance!
van u explain how can we record 4k and Memory kind to use ?
