What role do pre and probiotics play in digestion? I don't have a gallbladder and been trying to figure out how to heal my digestion and gut health. Im glad I found you!
I need to personally thank you for helping me finally find the answers I needed. As someone who worked in pharma and met with all kinds of physicians, providers and patients, I can tell you this area of medicine is so mysterious. Few people know anything. Few care to know anything. Few people are satisfied with the care they receive. If orthopods performed like gastros and PCs on this issue, most people over 60 would be on crutches. This is a crying shame.

You put real effort into making this. Brilliant explanation, so thanks. The digestive system is so complex and more and more is being discovered about its influence...(in unexpected and fascinating ways)...on body...and mind. Exciting times for people researching all this developing science.
I have been dealing with a myriad of digestive issues for years. I’ve suffered from diverticulitis several times and more recently had methane based SIBO, which I was able to diagnose myself after hours of research and troubleshooting. I actually bought the Food Marble breath test analyzer which pointed me towards methane, which I confirmed through a more formal testing process. I took a three month antibiotics regiment here in France, which is quite different than what you typically read about in US forums and then had a ton of relief, but now a few months later, I am again struggling chronic bloating, some acid reflux and what feels like slow, incomplete transit. I literally have the sensation like food is just stuck in my stomach and my digestive system is on vacation and not doing anything. I am starting to consider the possibility that maybe I’m not producing enough stomach acid?
My voice will just up and leave me - no sore throat, nothing that pertains to a cold, just ups and runs away - barely a word will come out - sometimes leaves for a week - so going to watch some of these suggestions very closely - I have had no gallbladder for 5 yrs. But now have 2 pancreatic cysts and acid reflux - really trying to fix things with food and supplements - I am extremely sensitive to medications - I do eat low carb, low fat, no red meat, organic, alkaline water - this video sure has been enlightening - a lot to absorb - thanks for sharing it with me!
Sounds like your alkaline water might be your biggest mistake. This is one of the best compile video regarding digest system. I am really impressed about all the details have been told in this video, it's one in my top 10 videos regarding the health issue. It has been described in details about the missing HCL in the stomach and how to make it acid again. And it has been mentioned on how to do so, using the betamine HCL, vinegar apple, carska vodka etc, tried it all. It has been mentioned that sometimes you have to be more aggressive if there are some bacterias in the stomach or if you have top reflux so sometimes you need to be brutal with adding some extra HCLs for a longer time. I know, that lack of stomach acid can create SIBO and other way around SIBO (caused via taking antibiotics) can cause potential reflux by changing the guts peristalsis movement other way or make it slower, and bile reflux can cause the problem with the stomach which is alkaline. I have here important question to the author or other expert: How to make in stomach more acid environment/ downgrade the PH level, if there is already a bile which cause the environment in the stomach more alkaline (don't know the main reason why the bottom entry is not closing in stomach). I tried all possible things for more than half year and nothing was working because of the bile and reflux from the liver (but that time I wasn't aware about SIBO at the same time) After watching this video and some others, I might need to try with remove the SIBO first which hopefully eliminate the reflux, so then I potentially can make the stomach more acid again. This is so complicated, but after over 4 years of searching solution now I found this solution, so I am going to try on this. The problem is that here it seems like 3 things are connected together: alcaline stomach, bile reflux, which is causing this, and SIBO, which was caused as primary (by antibiotics), or it has been caused by stomach with no acid. If anyone has got similar problems, please respond with your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for this comprehensive video. Though I've watched all your shorter videos, it's very helpful to have one video that covers a variety of topics and how they all interrelate to one another just like the digestive system.

Hello Tony, thank you so much for your content. I think I need to wipe out bad bacteria in my stomach but there is something that sounds a bit counterintuitive to me. Great video- one of your best! I’m going to throw something out there for you to consider and possibly research, in regard to gallbladder issues. I don’t need a response, I’m just suggesting something to think about. After a little over a year of intermittent fasting (19/5), I started having gallbladder symptoms, and an ultrasound showed a 14mm stone. It’s possible that the fasting caused my symptoms (or NOT), but during that year, I was also eating a lot of dairy (ice cream for dessert pretty much daily). It’s well known that women- and particularly women who are pregnant, taking BC pills, or on hormone replacement therapy- are particularly susceptible to gallstones (as you mentioned), because of the estrogen. I got curious, and did some research, and it seems that dairy products contain estrogen because dairy cows are kept in a high estrogen state. A few quotes I found: “Estrogens are naturally present in cows' milk.” “Estrogen levels in milk are higher in whole milk than in skim milk because estrogen is fat-soluble. During pregnancy, a cow's estrogen levels can increase more than 20-fold.” “Intensive farming practices can increase the levels of estrogen in milk.” Anyway- something to consider. I’m going to cut out dairy and see if it helps. It’s simple logic- if estrogen is problematic, it makes sense to avoid known sources.
When fasting we got to eat a little natural high fat jogurt 100g/day. The persons that didn't take it got serious gall problems. One in the group had to have his gallbladder removed after his last fasting, another one that didn't even take lemon water had to go to the hospital. The rest of us took it fine, even if I have a gallstone. We ate the watery soup and sauerkraut juice, lemon slices and our 100g sour jogurt of the day.
the dairy is a possibility, but this video explains the fasting aspect that can be problematic for some people. ruclips.net/video/m1jc3OoZxN4/видео.html
If we complain about excessive burping the dummy providers tell us to stop swallowing air. Crazy stuff! But thanks to my own research I could manage that problem. Now, constipation is the only problem that I am trying to resolve on my own. Advices from so called “experts” is such a waste of time.

Here's the issue : When you finally figure out which individual diet works best for you, when you figure out that you must eat a diet that is very restrictive, you can't travel, because airlines and restaurants have no idea what you're talking about, because if they mess up on even one ingredient, for me, sometimes I take two weeks to recover.
What are your thoughts on Silibinin? It has milk thistle and it is said that it improves bile flow. How does milk thistle impact other areas of bio-chemistry like breath rate and circadium rhythim? How about other supplements like artichoke extract? Are they as effective as beet flow?
Could you kindly explain whats the mechanism of action of the green beet? How does it thin the bile? And choline also, please. When i search what comes out is that beets and other vegstables bind bilis and prevent its reabsortion kind like cholerestiramine drugs. Thanks, content is excellent and very helpful. Blessings.
I have watched so many of your videos and still get a standard ache everyday when I eat and am bloated most the time. I finally made an appointment with a naturopath. I go in two weeks because I have symptoms and can't seem to figure out what is wrong.
It's weird that watching my videos would not magically fix all your problems. :) It's really about taking the right steps for you. your best bet could be to go through our totally free digestion course because that will walk you through figuring out which aspects of digestion are not working correctly and what steps will help you the most. If you’re using HCL and still having reflux, you’re either not using enough (5 is the max recommended dose with meat protein meals) or you have a bacterial overgrowth in there that needs to be addressed. The bacteria releases alkaline substances and the HCL isn’t strong enough to wipe that out. Wipe out the bacteria and the HCL can do it a job.
Make sure you take it in the middle of your protein meal. And if you still haven't found the right number of capsules, put some apple cider vinegar in water and take a few sips, this helps close the esophageal valve. Don't forget to rinse your mouth with some clean water afterwards. Acv can destroy your tooth enamel.

If I have to go thru the aggravation of traveling, I simply fast.
What are your thoughts on Silibinin? It has milk thistle and it is said that it improves bile flow. How does milk thistle impact other areas of bio-chemistry like breath rate and circadium rhythim? How about other supplements like artichoke extract? Are they as effective as beet flow?
Lol, "simma down, does watching the news make you feel better"
:)
Blessings.
Do you have any opinions on the book “The amazing liver and gallbladder flush ” by Andreas Mortiz
It's really about taking the right steps for you. your best bet could be to go through our totally free digestion course because that will walk you through figuring out which aspects of digestion are not working correctly and what steps will help you the most. I'm using Apple Cider Vinegar to stop Reflux. I used Betaine HCL but it didn't stop the reflux. Any sugestions on what may cause this?
Acv can destroy your tooth enamel.
thank u sir
you bet
I took 1 tbsp of ACV and felt a burning/acid sensation in my stomach... Should I take Betaine HCL ?

Probiotics and digestive enzyme works
They are a small piece of the puzzle, and will only be enough on their own if someone just needs a boost. They won't fix major malfunctions.
