Dude I'm having a jam session this week end with non-musicians, this is A-MA-ZING. Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago, some videos might be a little to technical for me but I'm sooo interested to see how you did it. You sir got a new patreon today, holy shit. See you around
Really nice patch. Something you can explore for recording this kind of stuff is the comping feature in Bitwig. It's basically like recording multiple bars of audio, but it's easier to pick and choose which pieces of audio to use.
Man, i just checked that vid you posted in the Amoss Discord server and was like, oh maybe i can find more about this on polarity's channel today, and it got uploaded literally minutes ago. Meant to be
For recording you should definitely enable comping here. It enables you to switch between different takes quickly and also to switch out parts like the last bar to be from a different take. Or if you already recorded, use the 'Fold to takes' function. Just because the video could be 5 minutes shorter and be more on point.
I'd like to know which drumloop packs you're mostly using for these simple but punchy DnB loops. Or get some recommendations for it. Most packs I have to use for prototyping have alot of breakbeats or tons of highhats in them so it's a bit too much as a baseline for prototyping.
Please @polarity, could you make a video about what we can do in the grid for third party plug-ins? I would love to take advantage of it to a deeper control of vst like Massive, maschine etc... ❤❤❤❤
I don’t know if you can help Me but I’ll try to explain what I’m wondering if you can do it in bitwig… in abelton when you pull up the utility effect it has the option where you can set the frequency and anything below it will stay mono its called bass mono and when you Increase the with nothing happens to those frequencies and with the tool effect in bitwig it does not. Have that option but is there way where you can set that up in bitwig to sort of be the same if so would be cool if you made a video on that thanks a lot love your videos I think it would be cool if you sorta did videos trying to program or figure a way to do stuff that abelton has in bitwig like you did for the drum buss thanks a lot
Could you do an updated tips and tricks video? Nothing to do with the grid, just handy playlist, audio editing, midi and modulation stuff. The lesser known things.
>>>> that means I have to go patreon which usually not go for, which I have to book to download the bitwig Preset - for me its just buying a plugin, which I‘m Of, you would sell well 🎉
yes, the "gen hold" button does that. Press the button and it generates a new sound and holds it. You can duplicate the devices then in layers and use channels to trigger different sounds. But its all reset on project load, so you need to persist it in wav at some point.

I took this as inspiration and made a patch that generates random harsh glitchy noise. Good times.
This is the way
Is it possible to lock a sound and keep it from randomizing with each pressed note?
