Hi grandma if its the daedric quests you want to start on first its best to start with going to the inns and asking about rumors in town and the first one i usually am aware of is the shrine of azura.

Most Deadric quests have a level requirement... For example, you need to get a rumor from Hulda at the Bannered Mayer in Whiterun before you can get the key to the locked door, and you need to be level 20 (I think) to get the rumor. You also need to have done Dragon Rising. You can do some side quests to level up, and if you want to do Herma's quest without doing the Main Quest that far, you have to pickpocket and steal from Septimus, which isn't intuitive at all...

Also the wispering door quest is usually given by the jarl of whiterun after you've helped with the dragon issue and become thane then the quest for that one will be given sometime after that. Also the only way to get the key for the door is by unaliving or pickpocketing the guy you give the stone tablet to

Hello Shirley! I'm excited to see you play the Daedric Quests. I'm sure you already know how to kick off most of them, but if this at all helps, I'll write every daedric prince below and it's requirements to begin the quest... I hope this is helpful!
Molag Bal - As far as I know, you can start this quest anytime in Markarth by talking to a Mage standing out front of that abandoned house.
Mehrunes Dagon - When/after you reach Level 20, you can head over to Dawnstar to go to the Museum to start this quest. This is personally, one of my least favorites lol! (just because the hunt to find the pieces of the dagger)
Clavicus Vile - At Level 10, the Dog Barbas will spawn outside of Falkreath. That's how you start this one.
Azura: Like I saw some other comments mention, talking to Innkeepers asking for rumors will direct you to the Shrine of Azura.
Hircine: Like Clavicus Vile, this one is also in Falkreath. There are some farmers, usually behind the inn, who will point you to the Falkreath Prison. This is where you can start this quest. As far as I remember, there are no level requirements.
Meridia: A New Hand Touches the Beacon! I'm sure you know these words well 🤣
Mephala: The locked door you mention, I believe you are able to investigate further when you reach level 25, and ask the Whiterun Innkeeper at the Bannered Mare for rumors.
Malacath: You must travel to the Orc Settlement of Largashbur, in the Rift, and at the gates, the quest will begin. Personally, this is one of my favorites.
Namira: Also in Markarth, like Molag Bal, you can travel to the Jarl's Keep, and search around for a Priest of Arkay, asking you to investigate the Hall of the Dead. This will begin Namira's questline.
Peryite: At level 10, somewhere in Markarth (I always have trouble finding it), you can speak to Kesh at a Shrine of Peryite to begin this quest. You may have to look up where unless you have it memorized!
Sanguine: Another one of my favorites, you'll have to find a man in black robes at a tavern at Level 14. He randomly appears, and will start Sanguines quest.
Sheogorath: In Solitude, find the rambling madman talking about his master leaving him. He usually walks around the residential area at day.
Vaermina: Dawnstar's Inn has a Dunmer Priest who can start this quest.
Boethia: Upon reaching Level 30, you will eventually find a book titled "Boethiah's Proving". Once found, the quest will begin.
Other Quests:
Hermaeus Mora: This ties in with the Main Quests, and in my opinion, is a very mundane quest. Hermaeus is my favorite Daedric Prince though!
Nocturnal: Completing the Thieves Guild Questline.
I want to thank you for this list. I have played Skyrim for about a year now, a couple different characters. I truly love it. I did not know about several of the Daedric quests you listed…I guess I simply never ran into them. But I learned something new. I will write these all down so on my next play through I can try to get each one. I really do appreciate this information……I don’t think I can ever learn everything there is to know about this game….but I have fun trying to. 🌸😊
@@mairirose5843 I'm very glad it helped, I've put over four thousand hours into Skyrim collectively and have done several playthroughs, similar to Shirley. I'm at a point where I feel I can find nothing new, but you're certainly right about learning everything there is to know! There are definitely things I have missed.

I love the outside of the home, it's so cute, especially I love the idea of a tiny garden. Since I was a kid I loved to decorate. In skyrim I've spent countless hours in decorating my home. I was so happy that I could build one on my own😅
This encouraged me to extend my hobby and so I started to play Medieval dynasty. Even my mom in law is addicted to it😂 We played together and built a whole medieval village. I love do build and decorate the villagers houses because it rises their happiness. All of them can have kids, so it's a plenty of work to give them all toys to play😂 My character has a kid too and she often has visits from the neighbour's kid😂 I guess they are good friends 😂 It's a lot of work to run a whole medieval village. It's amazing that it never ends because when my character retires, the child will inherit the village, and I'll play Dobrawa next😂 I so want to make there a replica of the Skyrim villages❤

Grandma still might see it though. 👍🏻 I also liked Medieval Dynasty, though I stopped during an accidentally extra long Winter as I forgot to shorten the season before it hit & had wanted the other seasons longer. I also cheat a fair bit by having no carry weight and being not killable or having to worry about heat/cold because I just love the building part. 🤣 I was wondering how you spent hours on decorating your house in Skyrim, though? There is no individual placement of decorations in the game naturally, as you just pay the Jarl’s right hand person in whichever hold your house is in & the whole room gets furnished immediately. No choices on how you want it. Unless you’re using a mod that allows it, of course. I can’t remember if any of those are on console for me (XBX), but definitely might be on PC.
And if you ever enter an inn and see a man named Sam Guevenne play his drinking game thats a very fun one
Daedric quest for Sanguine. A good one, indeed.
So, it looks like all of these below can be done right away, but you'll likely need to do something like talk to an inn keeper or whatever to kick it off and make it available. As you know, Meridia will be random since you have to find that confounded beacon first. I'd use that link above to get more detail for each one.
That matrix I linked to earlier also shows the Nocturnal quests as being able to start at level one, but that is kind of deceiving. It says you can start hers at level 1, but you have to get pretty far into the thieves' guild first, (which, yes, you can start right away), but the nocturnal stuff doesn't start until quite a while after.
Anyway, hopefully this will help get you started. :)

Hi Grandma Shirley! Hi La'Rasu! I'm not totally sure but I think some of the Daedric quests are "locked" behind a level. Like you need to be level 10 or higher. You might just try doing some Miscellaneous quests to level your character and in between quests stop in at different pubs for a break and to ask about rumors. I definitely remember Sam (Sanguine) hangs out in a pub. It's always a different pub for me, never the same place. Maybe you could ask Danica (Priestess of Kynareth) about the Gildegreen tree in Whiterun. I'm not completely sure but I think you have to do the Gildegreen quest before you can do the Whispering Door quest. I remember that the quest for Mehrunes Razor doesn't "unlock" till level 20. I remember that because a courier delivers a letter to you. LOL!
I hope that helps. I've re-started Skyrim so many times I get confused and can't remember what quest starts when and how sometimes. I end up running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to figure out how to trigger a quest. LOL! Then again, I'm the one who ran around with a 25,000 gold bounty for Whiterun hold, while carrying the Dragonstone. The Jarl sent bounty hunter after bounty hunter after me. The bounty hunters wore such cool armor too! So you know I didn't pay. LOL! Ah well. I did pay eventually. Twice! I paid the final bounty hunter and he must have run off with my money because I had to pay my bounty again to a Whiterun guard. Argh! I was steamed! Live and learn. LOL!

I always go to the halted steam camp outside of North West of White Run to get the transmute ore spell to transmute iron ore into gold ore to make rings to sell immediately or enchant with ideally the sneak enchantment. If I haven't gotten Fendal from Riverwood as a follower to duplicate glitch any relevant necessary materials. *Edit* Riverwood not Riverrun, ;P

Also you can find an item randomly called meridia"s beacon and that will lead you to a quest

I think that’s the Molag Bal one. A great choice.
Most Daedric quests become available once you reach a certain level. For instance, the Sam Guivene quest for the Sanguine Rose does become available until you reach level 15 I believe.

I honestly have no idea!!! I have had that house before and talked with that ghost before but this is the first time for those Khajiits. They act like they are going to stay at the house when I walk away... like caretakers and servants. I don't know. I guess we will find out together. :)
Nice to meet you, Li'Rasu, let's go on adventure! For Boethiah quest you need to go to her shrine - Sacellum of Boethiah - in the mountains east-southeast of Windhelm (required level 30). In Dawnstar you can get two deadric quests - for Vaermina (in the inn) and Mehrunes Dagon (visit the museum, required level 20). Hope it helps :)

You can join the Companions. That's a fun story.
That’s a faction questline, not a side quest or Daedric questline, despite it involving Hircine being the god of were creatures. I think (not certain) that she’s avoiding factions for this character.

@@Tattletale-Delta it’s actually kind of sad. She was all set for big projects, 3x, then suddenly quit before getting started. First was the plan to go hold by hold with different characters for each (kinda knew from how the game sends you all over that it wouldn’t work). Next plan was to take a single character through everything in game to get to a high level. And this recent one was for the female badassed trio to do the Daedric quests. But, I’d rather her health & sanity be put first & if she wasn’t having fun creating content, it’s better for her to retire the gaming part. 🤷♀️
I love your character build! As to the Daedric quests, some of them do need you to be a higher level before beginning them. The key to the secret door requires you to be level 45 or higher before it will activate (in Whiterun).

Over all the years I've played I've done them all many times... as they come up. What I haven't done is trying to do it by STARTING with a Quest Series.. like this one or the Daedric Quest etc.

Morning grandma! I've been a long time subscriber, but just haven't commented. To start the first daedric quest, you can go to the shop in Riverwood, talk to the man, and he'll tell you that some bandits too his prized possession
I always learned about the Shrine of Azura from Delphine's husband in the inn at Riverwood by asking about rumors.
Sorry you never commented before. That helps my income from this.
@@JediKnightSpectreN7 Grandma asked about side quests as well as Daedric. The trader one is the Golden Claw at Bleak Falls barrow and is a side quest instead of the Daedric one. 👍🏻

@@ShirleyCurryTheOlderGamer as far as which way to go I'm not sure I like both ideas. I think the only caveat for deadric quest is boethiah you have to be like level 17 or 20 I believe

Hi Grandma ive never commented before and i dont know if someone has already left this comment. But, for the Daedric quests they have different level requirements.
At level 1 you can do "The Black Star", "Ill Met By Moonlight", "The House of Horrors", "The Taste of Death", "Darkness Returns", "The Mind of Madness", and "Waking Nightmare"
At level 9 you can do "The Cursed Tribe"
At level 10 you can do "A Daedra's Best Friend"
At level 12 you can do "The Break of Dawn" and "The Only Cure"
At level 14 you can do "A Night To Remember"
At level 15 you can do "Discerning the Transmundane"
At level 20 you can do "Pieces of the Past" and "The Whispering Door"
and finally at level 30 you can do "Boethiah's Calling"

Yes. It’s available there. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Not sure which versions though. Maybe several like Special Edition (SE) or Anniversary Edition (AE), that latter one being latest and with most content including Creation Club things.

Hey grandma, great to see the new character, she looks so cool!! I'd like to see her doing side quests (maybe perhaps with her being a bounty hunter as well) over the daedric but I will watch whichever you choose (I would think you could just do side quests whenever just by listening to ppl & rumors & stuff & by going around asking if ppl need help, I think that's how I always end up with a long list of side quests, also what about starting off using the Notice board &/or some Dwemer delving or start off by fighting the Forsworn or by doing the Bard's College playthrough then maybe her character will develop from any of those). I feel the exact same as you when it comes to followers, I will only use custom voiced modded followers!! The list of females I like & have played with when I am on PC are ~
Livia Salvian - Revamped, so she has just over 1500 lines of dialogue
Improved follower dialogue - Lydia, gives her 1400 lines of dialogue with a new voice actor & makes me like her much better plus she's kinda badass!
Aurlyn Dawnstone, has just over 1000 lines of dialogue
Eris - Light & Shade, has 1300+ lines of dialogue
Serana Dialogue add-on, she has even more lines of dialogue then Inigo
Of course I also have & luv Inigo, Lucien & Kaidan, & I also have ur mod now so I can play Skyrim with Grandma Shirley!

@@ShirleyCurryTheOlderGamerHey Grandma I just thought of this, if you'd like the followers to talk to each other as well as you that'd be ~ Lydia from Improvised Follower Dialogue & Serana Dialogue add-on with a downloadable patch, both those 2 will also talk to Inigo, & Serana will also talk to another female follower named Auri - Song of the Green (though she barely has 1000 lines of dialogue & I didn't like her as we as the others i mentioned but she's still ok). 1 of my fav teams of followers is Serana (Dialogue add-on), Inigo, Lydia (Improved follower dialogue), or Inigo & Lucien cuz they all talk to each other & Inigo & Lucien have a ton of dialogue together & become good pals, they're hilarious & awesome together!! I also forgot 1 other custom voiced female follower I like ~
Malryn, she has a neat face tattoo & 2000-ish lines of dialogue ....
