Wallaga Lake Cemetery Project

Initiated by the Eurobodalla Shire Council and the community of Wallaga Lake, the project aims towards recovering recognition and acknowledgement of one of the largest known traditional burial sites in NSW. This film captures just some of the efforts of the community and the council towards redeveloping the cemetery as the very important traditional role it plays in the community. This is the Wallaga Lake Cemetery Project. A film by Dakota Feirer.

Congratulations on a wonderful film and beautiful, evocative music, Dakota. It brought tears to my eyes. Your film captures the beauty of the land and the feeling of a sacred place. Great to see Sonya giving voice to her thoughts on this special place and the people of the Wallaga Lake Community who are working to restore an important part of their cultural heritage.
