The high time of the Weddoes. And what a dream of a setlist. Classic after Classic. One of my alltime favourites.

52:02 Take me! (Gedge announces that this will be the last encore that the Wedding Present will ever play. As far as I know that is true, as every live show I've listened to over the last 30 years he usually makes a point of saying that TWP don't do encores).
Thanks for the set list Alistair🙂
@@ScottishTeeVee Very welcome. Thanks to YOU for the most excellent upload. Great quality sound and video, plus a great setlist. Cheers!
I think this is true - except they made a one-off exception for the next year for the 1990 gig at Leeds Town & Country Club (as then was) for the filmed gig that became SP*NK. Gedge said during the gig something like "we don't normally play encores - but this is a special occasion..."
Oh Steve, This is one of my Favorite Bands. I Love Them since 1987... Thank You very very very much for this Lovely Gig . Dirk from Augsburg
Good to hear from a viewer in Augsburg, I traded music videos with a guy there for years🎸😎
@@ScottishTeeVeein which town You live??
@@dirk586 All you need to know is that I am in Scotland 🙂 The guy I traded with is called Rudi, if you attend many concerts in Augsburg in the 1990s, then you may well know him.
@@ScottishTeeVee OK Man. I am in Auxburg since 1999 and i don't know a Man called Rudi.. thank You again for your Videos. Stay health and all the best for You. .
Was at this gig , it was very sweaty. Happy days. Thanks for posting
Oh you lucky fella Stewart, memories of great time I hope.
Best video I've found on RUclips. Thanks for this. Takes me back to my teens. Saw them on this tour in Blackburn
I saw them on the same tour at Cardiff(or was it Bristol). Thanks for posting. Brings back great memories and they haven’t played Dont Talk enough over the years since
Dude! This is incredible. Thank you ❤
Thanks for watching and commenting Paul🙂
I was there! Saw them many, many times in Manchester from 87 until I left in 92 - what a time to be living there - Stone Roses, Mondays, New Order, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Weddoes, The Fall & loads more - the great, the good & the not so good...
A great time to be in Manchester. Thanks for watching and commenting Graeme🎸
You lucky bastard.
My first TWP gig, have been to countless more DLG still as great as ever
David the ultimate british indie GOD.....
He is still one of the best rhythm guitarists around, saw him play that George Best album live, his left hand is a blur, on this video he has an easier time of it!
Absolute gold, thank you!!!
Your channel is amazing. What a thing to have on video. Thank you!
Thank you Tom, Im glad you are enjoying what I do😊
❣❣
So many great songs. And to think, Seamonsters was still 2 years away.
Ahhh, the shorts era 😜😍😍😍
15 again 🤙
Amazing do u have any live Pale Saints ?
I uploaded some last week, I think that is as much as I have.
You're making me a very happy old man Steevee, thanks man!!
32'05" Gedge: "What's that you say about the shorts? - It's better than the flares, anyway." I guess you had to be there in 1989 to get this Leeds/Madchester joke.
Saw them on this tour two weeks earlier at Bradford St Georges Hall, massive Victorian theatre, with acoustics for the Halle orchestra, but a sweaty moshpit. With a massive Bizarro cover painting backdrop. Don't suppose footage of that will ever emerge, 'cos I remember how big handheld video recorders were in 1989. Peak Weddoes - Gedge, Keith, Simon, Peter.
track list please...thanks 😊
Wonderful footage. Don’t suppose you have the Middleton Civic Hall support set 04.89?
Sorry to say that I do not have that show, but it was worth asking,
I was at this :)
Did you attend many gigs at this venue?
@@ScottishTeeVee Yes I did. The International 1 AND 2
@@trashmonk You very lucky person😎 I am jealous
@@ScottishTeeVee I guess I was just alive at the right time! Yes I saw many bands there. I saw the Weddoes perform their very last encore at the Manchester Ritz. Saw the Ukrainians tour at Middleton where the Wedding Present supported. I see a lot of your videos so thank you for sharing them. This one took me back!
Brilliant Memories! Think this was a benefit show for the striking ambulances?
