Yurts were nomadic structures that followed herders which was essentially constructed from 3inch felted wool of their flock.
I love watching the homes unfold like a Transformer.
I bought a 16x40 portable building and added on a 8x16 bathroom with a nice big walk-in shower. All together with finish out for around 750sqft $35,000.
@Country Girl did you finish it out yourself or hire it out?
You go girl!! What state are you in.? I want to buy atleast 4 2 for me and 2 for my mom I just cant figure out what state to move to with these unprecedented strange weather times we are living in. Wishing you all the best.
@@jennyanimal9046 Temperature is Everything!
We live in 2 states where we never need AC in summer and use only woodstove and propane heat which heats up the whole place just by cooking. We virtually have no winters but maybe a couple of fast snow melt days.
@@jennyanimal9046 Jenny! Winter is just getting toasty by the fire! :)
Where?
I saw all episodes 1-6, and I'm completely speechless on how beautiful they are. It's a little hard to choose a favorite one because they are all my favorite.
Great video and I like that you included the prices on most of these unit
2nd home featured by pacific yurts a few hours to few days set up permanent or semi permanent structure $6-$12k base model with no ad ins or extras
Remember back when tiny houses were affordable? $70k? You gotta be kidding.
When were they affordable, but it is largely not their fault…doing “everything…but smaller” is often more expensive, as you need all the same things, floor, bath, ducts, sinks, etc and to fit them in a non-standard , tiny space. That is why new van campers, with everything squished in, can cost more than larger campers. Also, they aren’t making any new land….the prices in areas people likely will only go up with passing decades.
@@Itried20takennames Kinda. As someone who has done a fair amount of construction, I know insulation, Tyvek, ductwork, copper wiring, flooring, plywood, trim, tiles, roofing, etc. is also based on volume. 15 sheets of plywood still cost less than 100 sheets of plywood for subflooring. Of course, one could always upgrade to better quality materials for a smaller space because if you have two sinks, may as well at least have nicer faucets than just a standard issue faucet in a regular house build. Or someone might choose to use steel studs instead of wood because if they’re going to travel, steel frame might wear better for stationary structures. Or expensive off-grid systems will have higher up front costs. And are still labor trade payments - for all the trades, And there is increased cost of smart design. But unless there are upgrades, the material costs should be much, much lower (offset with temporary price increases from inflation, wood shortage, etc. - but that will go down again eventually, like it always has done in the past). Agreed about the cost of land, especially land with infrastructure hookups like power, water, sewage, cable, will just go up, I just didn’t realize the price quote included the land price. I just feel bad for the average salary for an average family is so low as compared to the cost of housing, which is a basic, fundamental need. Hopefully there will be home ownership options for everyday, hardworking and deserving people
pacific and freedom yurts cabins sweet, nestron
I really enjoyed your videos! I wish I could afford one of these prefab houses. I spent my money on a travel trailer and a tow vehicle. I am on SSA now, and I recently suffered a mini stroke. I have enough to buy a small property in Northern AZ. Perhaps I’ll be able to afford a small prefab house in the future. Glad to have found your channel.
I have NEVER seen a pre fab or tiny home that shows a ramp for those who are disabled, physically challenged or have to use an electric scooter to get around.
Every one of these videos I have watched shows only stairs and ignores that large segment of the population including me.
I have also never seen a video geared towards the blind, deaf or visually challenged as well.
I am 71 years old and am awaiting double knee replacement surgery due to falls.
And in about 4 weeks I will finally get my bariatric scooter.
I gained a lot of weight when an escalator on BART, our local subway, grabbed the tips of my shoes and left me flying off the escalator face down and unable to get up & I never got surgery to relieve pain and remove the broken cartiledge in my right kneecap & I have been in pain for 17 years and gained a lot of weight because I was on crutches for a year and could no longer walk without pain.
Are you kidding... that price is outrageous!!
There's only a few areas in the US where I would feel save living in any of these when you think about earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes and extreme cold.
Definitely not the ozarks or Texas
Wow ! They are So Nice ! I would like the Last One 🙏
Excellent source for plans!
❤fantastic 😊
Seems pretty awesome
That is so Awesome!
I likek the pin up houses, seems right for my budget
Nestron house is straight outta the Jetsons , super nostalgic
Very cool! Thanks
Brett Haus - My Pick. $$ . Quick & Simple; Cheep. Thanks.
1st house featured
Go sun tiny home 196sqft $70-100k
Awesome Beautiful 😍 ❤
Awesome
These are nice
Fabulous
Welp, time to build my own house.
The issue is the high prices of american labor. $10K materials, $60K for someone to build it. Maybe people can form regional groups of skilled labor to help each other build each others places for free.
This is a cool home!
For those prices I can build an actual house with all of the functionalities exactly the way I want
Right?!!!
That's why I keep watching these videos. For the features, for the base idea that I can expand on.
Xaxaxaxa this is what my boyfriend will say
There are better and more affordable options with factory built housing. We have homes available.
Yeah, I thought the point of prefabs and modular architecture was to be cheaper and easier to build...so much for that.
The mighty buildings cinco starts at $503,000, lol. I think at that point I'd just build my own house.
It's different I like it different is good
Nestron has the a retro futuristic name straight out of the early to mid 20th century while its little buildings are more in line with 2001: A Space Odyssey or Star Trek: The Next Generation. ADUs used to be called In-law suites or in-law homes.
Would like to buy 1 and put on family land we didn't sell but disrespect by laws of the land and use it to put a business on it.And put a footprint in commonwealth of no more mistakes.
Can it be totally solar and propane run. Also for -4- -6- celcius.
Interesting but some have high prices on them especially the first one at $70,000+?! The cost of solar has come down so why still so expensive?
9:11 Für eine etwas zu groß geratene Hundehütte ab 183.750 USD ist echt ein SUPER Preis.
Thx for saving me the time
Every housing market is different. A lot of these are way cheaper price/sqft than what you could get using a traditional builder in my area or the local builders simply wont build that small because it doesn’t make them enough money. If you are not capable of a DIY build I definitely see these as an awesome alternative. However, the issues of zoning and permitting is probably were you are going to run into the biggest issues.
Some of them ARE way overpriced but are probably stuffed full of tech and special materials.
I would like to have a cataloge
100k. No way
Anna York was staying hurricanes and tornadoes and earthquakes
Great idea but a bit pricey per foot
WOW! What year is this video? Are they still making this? LOL!!!
Go Sun 70-100K my 5 acers in central Oregon with 1800sqft home 149K......
The reality is, labor is expensive, especially in the USA. I think people forget that. There is a large market for people who want a tiny house, but don’t know how or can’t build one. Yes, these are expensive, but if you have the means and want to downsize, there are options. It comes down to how much your time is worth. If you are a high earner and want to live simply, it just doesn’t make sense to build a house yourself. It would cost more. So, no, it’s not stupid or for stupid people.
Now you too can not have a Permanent Residence - for only $70,000!! I'll just have a camp site instead - for a few thousand dollars. thanks
Basically a small house looking like a yurt but not a yurt
yikes i might as well just build a pallet shack
Between 70K & 100K -- oh no!
Yeah these are nice but one must remember you have to have the land to construct these homes on! You can't just buy them and set them up anywhere.
Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) Does NOT increase insulating quality. It is solid wood members cross laminated together for axial strength. it's a cool product and I've used it before in building but at the end of the day its just a big piece of plywood. Wood has an R-value of about 1.2/inch compared to other insulators this is abysmal.
Where is the price of mighty buildings #6?
Hi, you can find prices for all the models on the company website. Links are in description.
I like the last 2, with a more modern design aesthetic. Guess I'm not a yurt gurl. :-) But in a SHTF scenario, I can see these things being easily pushed over by 3-4 people, and demolished quite easily. How sturdily are they really built?
I wish they would show something with a good cost per square foot everything here I could build stick built for that hundred dollars a square foot let’s get it down to 40 to 50 and then we’re talking
Interesting but not suitable in places with lots of tornadoes or areas prone to flooding
1. Is too expensive just well buy a fifth wheel trailer with tip outs.... 2, Yurt is nice but living in America with a high crime rate it would be easy to break in to....3. Is a great idea... 3d printing homes are cool...Last one sucks it's not a home.....
Pr pl
who would spend money on these prices are crazy you can build a big awesome cabin a lot cheaper
YES, BUT WITH ALL THE HURRICANES; TORNADOES & FLOODS, HOW SECURE CAN THAT BE🤔🤔🤔 HUN!
$100,000!!!! If WE HAD THAT; WE WOULDNT NEED THAT UNSAFE WEATHER HAZZARD!!
Wait why these company's sell these houses for the price of a full house come on people who got 100000 dallars for a small house the price don't suit the product no way so be real you might make more money by lower price that suit the product
it's called gimmicky luxury homes disguised as tiny homes
Singapore houses no matter how small is for it's rich citizens. Since it's an island nation, it's land is very limited and expensive. It also makes their customer base limited so it's understandable that they'll market it overseas as well
Too expensive.
The first one is too expensive, you can find $100K homes with land in many parts of the USA.
Yeah that’s because no one wants to live there. 😂 You can’t buy a bachelor condo in an older building for $100,000 in SW BC.
Some of these are really good others are too much money
And the 1st one (which is ugly outside) is basically just an overpriced travel trailer😕
Only 75 to 100K...😢 Not realistic for most.
Too much talk not enough on pricing which is what you said you would do
70.000€? Too tiny for that 😶
WELL Y🅰️'LL NEED 2️⃣✔🅾️UT "HOME DESiGN" $6,000-$OVER 80,000,SUM EVEN HAVE POOLS,N🚫T JUS THE MO' XPENSiVE,🅰️ $9,000-$19,000 THESE R Modern~ReTr🅾️~Contemporary
Sorry, but tiny homes should NOT cost more than $30k, at the most!!👎For $70k, either buy a RV or just get a modular home (more room & amenities)
How insulting😐
100k? lol joke
Too high of price.
I live in a 1976 single-wide mobile home, that cost me all of $7,000. Do you fools think you can rip people off with off-the-grid BS? And my home is 14'x70' and, just as mobile as any of these overpriced fad homes, that lose 90% of their value the second you buy it.
