PLEASE AS MEN THINK BEYOND JUST YOUR FEMALE FAMILY MEMBERS !!!!!! Thank you this message is soooooo good thank you. This is what I always say THINK beyond yourself and your family. Protect ALL WOMEN.
Woh. Amazing speech. Sums it up. Its the root of what's 'masculine' needs to be healed. A true man is a warrior for love, for honour, for dignity for all.
Awesome speech. As a 21 year old college student it always outraged me witnessing my fellow peers actions and intentions at parties and other social events. I’ll share this video with everyone I know
It's great to hear men talking about this. It's very brave. It must be so hard to be a man. Our culture is straight up confusing and the way women act about consent is super confusing too. So many people honestly believe false rape accusations are common and so many people still blame the woman for what she was wearing/doing. What a mess. In the VAST majority of cases, the accusation isn't false. But what does the word false even mean? It means the person's feelings and opinion after the fact can change everything. But where does that leave the man? When you don't even realize what you're doing is wrong or could later make her feel violated, of course you'd see her response as a false accusation. So you may genuinely think it is false while she may genuinely think it is true. It's lose lose. No matter how the case ends, someone will wind up scarred for life. He will wind up in jail and unable to find work now that he has a criminal record and WORSE is listed as a sex offender, or she has lost her voice and sense of safety because such a vile thing happened to her and the perpetrator escaped punishment. lose lose lose lose lose. What we are left with is a society filled with broken women who feel violated and not listened to and vilified men who feel anxiety and uncertainty around something which should be romantic and fun. Something they NEED like we need food and water. It's a nightmare. How can we possibly have justice for our women AND our men? How can we protect them? That, I think is what this is really about, protecting our people, both our men and our women. Right now, we're all being sold out for a quick buck and we SHOULD be angry.
Such an important message. Though I do wish he had touched a little on how men are also assaulted and raped. A lot of people don't mention it because they think it only happens in prison, or that it's rare, but the current statistics are 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men experience some form of sexual violence.
The fact that this video has only 6,337 views and 16 comment speaks volumes. This topic in general needs more attention, and action as well. We CAN and MUST begin, as Edwards says by just speaking up, bettering our community, and then moving on to tackling this issue at a global scale. Change starts with us. "Be the change you want to see" - Mahatma Gandhi.
Wonderfully put. I just wish more people would listen to the victims and not rely on someone else in their position calling this out. Even though I do understand that this is very much a conditioned response; in the same way we are conditioned not to care about the homeless person on the street. We must fight against our conditioning, and work together to create a future for all of us to be free
This is what, in effect, the Gillette ad, says and shows vulnerable young boys learning this . Unfortunately, certain people have seen this as a negative thing and tried to say it paints all masculinity as toxic- that is not what the intention was- though of course it was still advertising Gillette products
Usually people that change the conversation is because they don't want to hear what you are saying because is not interested to them or they don't are who they seem they are is bad changing the conversation no one likes someone changing the conversation
I hate the baseball analogy when it comes to consent don’t even bother dating women as a man who isn’t charming or very good looking and 6 feet tall no woman’s gonna come on your lap very easily or fulfill any of your fetishes Women are taking a lot of work, and the one thing I have a problem with the me too movement is that it affects Good men out there Not just the bad from receiving consent, unless most of you do receive consent by enough women because you have the social intelligence interests things in common well educated men who could easily get into college or hold a job don’t suffer with any mental illness or learning disability I guess it’s just me a lot of this is made I’ve created myself as one of those bad men because it’s not easy for me to get the ladies.
Gosh, I didn't think a person could lack such important data. The 1 and 5 is a myth, and I highly question this guys process in clinical psychology. He is talking about the actions of asking a woman out.

Thank you so much for this talk. Let's remain hopeful and fight the good fight.

He did address it slightly by saying anyone can be a victim.

This was amazing, I'm so grateful to see there's still hope and people who actually give a damn and want to talk about topics how they really are.
This is so helpful. Thanks for speaking! Love from Nepal. ❤️🙏🇳🇵
Excellent talk!
Well said, man. Well said.

Thank you. One woke brother.
This is great! Thank you!
I'm glad to see this! It's so logical. I love it!
Keith Edwards, works at Hamilton College. He has developed a new program for all freshman males who attend that school.
I attended
What did you think of it?
Just a complete attack on the male gender. He believed we were all ready to pounce on the nearest female and assault her.
Do you agree with this article? Google:

Wow, that article explains things perfectly, Edwards is a nightmare for male students. Edwards is mentioned about 7 paragraphs down.
Beautiful
That's my best friends dad

I might not understand, so please explain, but how do you know that the one in 5 is not true? I'm just curious.
getmamaw
So then advising a woman that the way that she was dressed a preventative method?
boring
it's not entertainment
