Taiwanese vender wearing gloves and masks regularly due to SARS since 2003. After that, we people here treated those who wear masks to prep food as a good quality symbol, which makes people want to come more.

If youre wondering about the taste, it's just tasteless. Gold Leaf is just there to make stuff more expensive and only more fancy. This is also only for presentation and is possibly the easiest way to feel fancy and loss more money. So to say it the least, gold is just for presentation unless you out something on it.
