  • Finally got my Creality CR10 S5 3d printer! Really excited to get this thing up and running. It has a 500x500x500mm print area which is just shy of 20 inches cubed. This will be extremely handy for printing larger pieces, especially costume parts. Fun times ahead!

    I owned this printer for about 4 years now, for prototyping its perfect, i still use it on monthly base, every 300 hours you need to replace parts keep that in mind, i think its discontinued right now, overall good printer, if u got some problems with u printer PM me, i know this printer trough and trough and solved all its problems.

      Do you know what to look for if the bed is hitting on 1 side but lose on the other side I have a solid mount bed the gantry is level

      @@LsBlaze1 I think I know what u mean, is it happening when u roll the bed back and forward with hand when the machine is off? , or is this happening when u change the configuration in the settings? Or when u move the bed around trough the display when the machine is on? And/ or is it while printing ?

    Hello! I purchased a creality cr10 s5 plate 50x50x50 but I have problems with leveling the plate. Is there a way you can adjust before printing? if you made a video on this please help me :(

    • @BlueMacGyver
      @BlueMacGyver 5 лет назад +1

      heat up the bed plate and use a sheet of paper ass a spacer. Also heat up the nozzle at the begining of the leveling but not for more than a few minutes, otherwise you may burn plastic inside the hotend, and you don't want that. Most new folks level without heating up and that is a mistake.

    You will want to replace the filament sensor mount housing or find a way to secure it. Since it is friction fit, it comes loose and just causes problems with the existing design. Print larger bed adjustment knobs and replace the extruder, the spring tends to weaken over time and there is no way to adjust tension.

    Hi does the print quality change when printing near the edges of the bed, since the heated bed is smaller than the actual glass?

    even my cr-10s with 300 x 300 is so much room, but printing a chest piece in one piece would be the dream.

    Hi; it looks like your spool holder came with the nut not on. But mine came with the nut attached and I can't get the darned thing off. Did your's come separated or is there a trick I'm missing?

    Dude if you are still using the camera you used for this video, set a manual focus point on the camera. The focus hunting is crazy bad!

    if u experience layer shifting reduce the bed set speed from 750mm to 350mm it will not affect much on printing speed but will solve all the bed issues

    Cool!! Where did you make the purchase? And how much did it cost you? This is because I am thinking of buying a cr-10 s5. I do not know whether to buy it in Gearbest because I do not know how long it will take me to get there and I do not know how expensive the customs fees will be. Sorry for my bad english and congratulations for your new gigant 3d printer

      Use Amazon, atleast you can return the thing if needed, GearBest is a bit of a ho about returns and it takes weeks, where Amazon takes days.

    what "material" was sticked on the bed ? is it some kind of big tape ? and why ... is it because the glass does not stick well enough?

    • @gordontarpley
      @gordontarpley  5 лет назад

      the glass sticks ok but the big grippy bed sticker worked awesome but wore out quickly. I'm back to just glass now and I usually use a little glue stick but just started doing a light dusting with loctite spray adhesive with amazing results

    • @BlueMacGyver
      @BlueMacGyver 5 лет назад

      I didn't watch the whole video but it appears he did not spray the glass with hair spray ( extra hold ) so of course he had to use the rookie tape to complete this one. Such a a terrible thing to see a RUclips Creator do, but there it was. He should probably stick to painting.
