      @John-PaulHunt-wy7lf I agree with you on the evolution. This era is full of players who look the part but lack the motor.
      They don't want to enhance their legacies, they just want to be paid.
      A lot of the injuries these guys incur come from lack of weight training, stretching and conditioning. Evolution would mean they're surpassing the guys of the past and playing multiple 82 game seasons. Very few of them do it now.
      So yes they need deeper rosters.
      Pat Riley just went off last week about guys commitment and availability.

      @John-PaulHunt-wy7lf They have to play 82 games because they need the revenue.Salary Caps are going up, The NFL is smoking them in revenue. Owners are buying stadiums, and TV networks are trying to buy all of their TV rights. They have to play all 82. Also you hurt the leagues legacy and completely change the history books if you start shortening seasons. These players are over incentivised to play at this point. It's not a birthright for them to be in this league it's a privilege.

You get a better balance and more options. The cost of assembling the trio at Phoenix cost them their dept and with injuries and lack of playing time together it ended how it ended. Media gets star struck by the names but you need other players not just superstars in the playoffs, just look at the Lakers where their 2 superstars have a great game but they still lose.

    The Celtics are a superteam. The Nuggets are as well.
    The difference is, they're a well built superteam, instead of a patchwork superteam like PHX.
    Boston has 4 all star caliber players, with an elite 2 way SG. That's how you build a superteam. Not just stacking up big names and expect to outshoot others.

  • @Tactical_0ni

    The term "SuperTeam" has lost its meaning. SuperTeams are the NBA All-Star team and Team USA (Varsity not JV). Its a Team consisting of all the best players at every position. Now a days we just have Teams with at least 2 Stars. Now the GSW is a team that was built through the draft, each player already had a role. With a system that was already in place. They added KD which was a perfect fit. Because his game was instantly plug and play. Another team was the Toronto Raptors when they added Kawhi. Same situation, they had a Team that was defined by roles with a system already in placed. The Nets and Suns just simply stacked Stars and thought it could replicate the GSW & Raptors success. You need players to fill in roles other than scoring. The years the GSW won was because they were a top 5 defensive team. Defense won them Chips. The scoring was always there but if they can't defend they're dead. People were mad KD joined the GSW was simply because they knew it was a perfect fit. But had they lost or did not win a title. They'll just be another Suns & Nets team. But they did win. Folks got mad. Easy way out? Nah smart way. Why? Because KD was FORCED to play defense. Ever since he left GS, he doesn't play the same defense anymore. Something people don't talk about.

    You can still have super teams but the three superstars can’t all be great at the same thing and play no defense . That’s what made the Warriors so great. Their three superstars all fit perfectly together. Klay was off the ball and played elite defense. KD could play on or off the ball and play elite defense. Curry was the Point God. This big three in PHX? Who is playing defense? Not 37 year old KD post Achilles injury. Not Booker, Not Beal, who?

  • @deomartinez77
    @deomartinez77 5 месяцев назад

    The way people are hating on Kevin Durant is proof that so many people don't actually understand the game of basketball. It's more than just ability. It's the way a team is constructed. It's the way they are managed. It's the execution of offense and defense. It's comradere within the team. Kevin Durant is a great player who had the same problem that LeBron had for years and that is he spent way more time than he should have on teams that were not setup to win. LeBron didn't get on a truly complete team until he went to Miami. The Cavs were good at defense and had a solid enough support players that if you had a character that was an average 35 per game player you could survive in the weak eastern conference.
    But they would then get destroyed by a complete team that is well coached, has great comradere, and at least 3 guys that average 30 per game. All of Lebron's rings happened when this was the case. KD in OKC almost had this type of team but the weakness was that you couldn't have all 3 between KD, Harden and Westbrook in the game at the same time and then Westbrook is a ball dominant Point Guard. This weakness can be and was exploited. So when he went to Golden State that is when he finally got a ring as he became the 3rd key scorer after Steph and Klay with Draymond Green then acting as the 6th man and best defender.
    The injures is the reason that he didn't win more with them; and the fact that Draymond is a prick is the reason that he ultimately left that team. Since then he dealt with further injuries, teammates with their own lingering injuries in the playoffs or has been on rosters where he is only 1 of 2 key 30 point per game average scorers when you need at least 1 other and a 25 avg per night person. (The 3rd scorer threat of these last couple Phoenix teams never actually pulled such a thing in the playoffs during his time.) The Timberwolves have 3 primary scorers in Ant, Kat and Rudy. They have a 6th man stretch 5 in Naz Reid. They have a solid guards in Conley and Jayden. They are well coached, have great chemistry and have a solid bench. Plus everyone is healthy. Phoenix never stood a chance unless the Timberwolves shot themselves in the foot with poor execution. The idea that it's the biggest collapse and embarrassment in NBA History to lose to such a team is an insult to this Timberwolves Squad. I have been saying it to people all year that they are not a joke and people are going to find out the hard way when the beat downs start happening.
    The only way KD gets a shot at a ring now is to take a pay cut so Phoenix can build the roster or he takes a pay cut and somehow goes either to Miami, The Bucks or back to Golden State. It's a wrap otherwise. Play out the remainder of your career KD and retire knowing that you got at least 1 ring despite being good enough to have warranted more than the 2 you actually got.
