This daily driver class of cars hopefully gains some traction up here as well. 17 cars is actually pretty good especially with them all being 2008+
Yeah it is really cool. The best kind of racing in my opinion is street class. Anything higher is a whose wallet and dick is bigger kind of thing. To me the real challenge is being able to enjoy a fast car all the time, taking an OEM car and making it your own for street and strip is much more interesting and everybody can enjoy it not just for the rich folk who have shops. Hence the reason street racing exists. Maybe if they had more events like this one then people wouldn’t street race as much. This event looks like a lot of fun. 17 cars is a good amount your right. 👍

Just out of curiosity, on a stock LT4 motor would you guys throw any e85 at it for safety? Specially during track events when summer temps are crazy high?

My friend has a 2018 silverado. One of his headlights was cracked from a rock on the freeway, and started building moisture on the DRL causing the doors to unlock, windows to roll down, fuel pump to prime randomly as if the drivers door were open, and kill his battery overnight. Maybe not to this extent of gremlins, but I'm guessing the headlight was removed for something akin to being broken and causing problems like his. Idk why the BMC on newer chevys is that susceptible to backfeeding signals. They only figured his truck out after 3 months because a technician came into the garage a couple hours after close and saw his DRL was dimly lit by itself.

thats what the air filter is, remove headlight, force cooler fresh air to the filter, profit.

PSA to all you guys who race. If your in staging lanes or waiting to line up, ALWAYS have your car off. When the motor gets hot the car will pull timing and it will hurt your power.

@@camclarke9952 careful now! those zl1 oil pumps aren't exactly bulletproof on them cars either! saw one personally go out and junked the motor
Watched a brand new one off the lot do this ! Coyote is a killer platform - sleeved oem block making 2500 whp - not to many engines can claim that , and the fact that they respond do well to e85 tuning
