In that sense, African religions are VERY similar to eastern traditions where you have to work out your own liberation (moksha).
And on that same far distant future day, it's likely that science will still not understand the how and why of consciousness, nor have any absolute insight into the origin and destination of matter and time.
The truth will never die. Without God the universe and everyting in it will never make sense. The equations will never balance as long as God is removed.
