  • The rate of fuel importation in Nigeria is becoming more worrisome. In a recent report, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, confirmed that the Federal Government incurred a debt of 5.1 trillion naira in under-recovery and energy security expenses for fuel importation in 2023. It also added that a total of 9.38 trillion naira debt was incurred by the Federal Government for fuel imports in the same year. This is as fuel queues linger in the country, due to insufficient supply
