David felt like an unbeatable final boss throughout this season and we all know he was gonna win from the jump let's be honest, Cody started of waaaay too arrogant and got down a few pegs and it's insane he made it to semi at 23 years old, he went from the most hated to a pretty enjoyable contestant to watch.
I mean when Cody returned he gave David an advantage, David was saved by John once and David almost went out from the tortellini pressure test. I even agree with Sabrina who thought his ice cream dish was too simple
@@Itsant33nah 60 min to prepare both ice cream plus the blueberry cake is insanely impressive bro, the taste is even bette he nailed both the technique (time) and flavor (quality), he was saved once by Jon but the beginning of the competition is merely child’s play, the only bad dish throughout the competition is ham & cheese but that’s because it’s an odd combination just like how sb likes to eat raw salmon and others don’t. Your saying of he is lucky is equivalent to banishing all of his triumphs on the mystery box, a lengthy consecutive of winning bro
@@ThienThuongThienHa i mean, it is a little weird that he was chosen for almost every mystery box to win but he messes up a tortellini dish. his dishes showcases simplicity i mean like VERY VERY SIMPLE with beautiful plating. I personally think he is a little overrated. 60 minutes for ice cream and cast iron blueberry? really?

David's advantage in this challenge was one of the biggest in any challenge across all seasons. The variance in difficulty of all 4 proteins is crazy high, venison is super easy to get right with rabbit not far behind, meanwhile squab is very difficult if you've never worked with it before and pickerel is already one of the most difficult fish to work with considering how mild it is but having to fillet it as well? Unless a fish master got the pickerel, whoever got it was screwed from the start tbh
Cody did a great job even with being given the hardest protein to prep.. His confidence at 23 is a testament to knowing his gifts and strengths and I believe also in his upbringing.. His mum would have instilled so much confidence in him and even though at times, he overcomplicated things, he grew in the competition and that not only got him back into the competition but got him to the semifinal.. I hope he's doing awesome wherever he is now ❤
I can barely cook 2 dishes in 90 minutes and these guys are expected to cook 21

The judges are so very polite in their commentary. Master chef Canada is the most best season of all the master chef. As well as the competitors are so well manner and very complementary towards each other

Line was so ferious from the beginning, Sabrina has such a starky attitude. Sometimes youth is the worst enemy in humbleness. I do wish her luck and way to go Line,

She really believes that after the uneven sugar layer in her brulee and a dense brownie. She only beat Line in plating and making the dish look pretty. But as the judges said, 'Taste is King'.

Back to back episodes on this past 2 days, must have realised the hiccup, but David for me just felt too strong over the course of this. Cody lacked no shortage of confidence, but little mistakes and over complication let him down, Sabrina just was too arrogant at times.
And Line is a bit overconfident and entitled sometime

David was a great contestant, but I really wish Line would've won. Since I started watching MCC I rooted for Line wholeheartedly. I bet she didn't win because of that damn Elk. Anyways, great episode.

Personally, I think David was untouchable this season. He was ahead pretty much the whole time.

Ive been rooting for david from the start but man i feel sad for Linn. Especially now since shes fighting cancer and has lost her daughter.
Linn hardship in her young made her into a tough lady she is, 2nd place of Masterchef is quite an acheivement that i thought life going to be good for her. Until i heard of her daughter passing. life really doesn't have any business to be this hard on her.
But, at least she survived cancer.😢

It was her daughter, Chelsea, that passed away. In early 2022. Ashley is still alive.
I saw in a couple RUclips comments in another Masterchef Canada video with Line in it that (I believe) Chelsea lost her battle with addiction. Bummer! 😭🥰

Everyone should’ve been assigned with the same meat. Like, even I wasn’t the biggest fan of Cody but fish meat is kinda unfair just with the prepping alone. And fish is like the least eaten meat in every party.
giving cody the fish was SOOOOOOOOO unfair. heck, keeping it in this challenge is unfair.
One of them had to get it, and David won the advantage from his success in previous rounds. He was strategic and wise giving the fish to Cody, and giving that he won the competition later on, I think it was a good choice. Cooks should be challenged, and playing weaknesses is needed at this stage of the competition
Should've given it to Line since no matter how good the cook is, fish takes the longest to prepare imo

The moment it came down to Line and Sabrina, in a pressure test. I knew it was over. Line worked for the military and had a much better tract record under pressure. There was still a chance that the dish she had to make would throw her off her game but then it came down to what it was and I knew it would be Line.

If your a house adult and have a kid, you need to slightly overcook the food because it's not really appetizing for kids so when you saw these 'medium rare' food, it looks raw.

seberina eat rabbits a lot she say and i hate is a lot and made me cry😢
theres too much hate on Sabrina, she cooks well, she knows what she's doing to stay calm. not gonna lie Line is always panicking in team challenges and doesnt listen to others opinion/thoughts. If she were to work in a kitchen with other staffs, they will never get along.

The beginning of this episode proves that David got a lot of unfair advantages throughout the season. He got to choose who gets to cook which protein, just because he won the last elimination round (not even the mystery box challenge), whereas Christopher had won two of the toughest elimination rounds, back-to-back, yet he didn't receive any advantage at all. They could have just do lottery for who gets to cook what, yet they gave David this advantage, that even in this very important semi-final round.
What's more, David was saved from difficult elimination rounds by his fellow contestants 2-3 times (there's not even many elimination rounds like Masterchef Australia), none of them had this advantage. He mostly won the easy mystery box rounds, he was not tested enough like Line or Sabrina. I would say, David is a great cook, but so is Eric, Mary, Trevor or all the other winners and runners-up. But only David is highly overrated. (there! I said it)
David won loads of challenges. This was his reward.
@@abdirahmanidris290 Rewards are mostly given after winning mystery box challenges. How come he got reward after winning elimination round, whereas Christopher got none after winning two rounds back-to-back? And this was semi-finale round, so everyone should have gotten equal chance to win. But they gave David extra advantage out of nowhere.
