- Every sport has their own fails and low IQ moments, and the same can definitely be said for NASCAR. With 40 competitors racing on a weekly basis, you're bound to find some outliers. These are the lowest iq moments in all of NASCAR

Fun fact a similar incident to one at auto club qualifying 2019 happened in the same year in f1 at monza but only carlos sainz and charles leclerc made it to start their laps
Fact, as a F1 & NASCAR Fan I can confirm it was Carlos who made it
only carlos made it
And they had the best times at that point making their laps useless

I loved the 06-07 total team control years. Leading a team of 4 to the front one at a time, or using teammates for devious intentions, made for hilarious moments
I played through that whole game with the UPS truck.
I will always loved NASCAR Thunder 2003, I have fond memories playing it on my dads hand me down PS2 slim. Still my favorite nascar game of all time
I have Thunder 03 on GameCube and I love it!

Dude I played the hell out of 2003, but I was so young that I didn't understand NASCAR one bit, so I would just drive the wrong way on purpose for a laugh 👀. Might break it out again and play it for real

NASCAR 06; Total Team Control, is my most favorite, simply because of the amount of time playing it on PS2 and the amount of memories on it! I played it for hours and hours. Not to mention it being my first ever NASCAR game on console

nr2003. It has so much attention to detail. It paved the way for iRacing and is now free, and if you change the graphics in the files can run on just about anything. Not to mention it's one of the only games now to feature the inside of the car in the rearview mirror, few games except iRacing have that.

The big Nascar game I played as a kid was Dirt to Daytona 2006. I don't recall much because I was incredibly young, but I enjoyed playing it.
Thunder 2003 is my fav. The sound fx, no rivals, detailed career slightly less complex than 04 (plus no rivals)
Lowest IQ moment was that the guy doing 150 mph in pit-lane got to keep their racing license.
i loved doing the wreck avoidance challenges, they were so fun and satisfying to beat
The first NASCAR game i played was NASCAR 98 on the PS1... fun times, but my favorite has to be Nascar Racing 2003, just the modding scene alone is keeping this juggernaut alive! Not to mention the amazing ai... and ofcourse there is also the GTP mod itself.

Maldonado has done pit entry fuckups in Spa in F1. The pit entry is a bit hard there, but the error still was on him

Hamlin went below the yellow line because I remember in a interview he said if he stayed up there Newman was gonna get turned and go get sent flying. Memory might be fuzzy but I think that’s what he said regarding that.
@Peters6221 he didn’t know what the situation was at that time. They quickly stopped when they heard about what happened.
NR2k3 was surely my fav nascar racing game. All the memories of racing drunk af after a day of work was great. The best sim ever not Nascar specific is surely iRacing. Wish I could still dedicate time to sim racing on that!
The OG nascar game, Daytona USA. I spent hours on that game at the arcade in the 90s.
nr2003 the graphics for that time was just amazing and the racing was nice so are the tracks and the handling and the spotter insults are just funny and teh community just works hard to make a game for 2003 look better

My favourite Nascar game has to be nr2003 it's all a racer can ask for. And the modding is just an great addition
Days of Thunder for the NES was a lot of fun. The driving part sucked but the pit stops made it worth playing.
7:03 reminds me of that one F1 qualifying session at Monza where everyone tried their best to not get out front or go fast enough to get a lap in.
NASCAR 2005 chase for the cup. Fight to the top was the most fun career mode I’ve ever played.

I started with 2003 Thunder..... Then nascar season 2003 came out 3 months later. Made thunder look like a kids starter game. Still play it to this day. Best multiplayer also.

also one moment I would add is from Martinsville in 2015 when Joey Logano dumped Matt Kenseth because Kenseth did the same thing back to him (or when Clint Bowyer spun Jeff Gordon at Phoenix in 2012, same thing happened to him)

bit late to the party but my favorite game was. NASCAR the game inside line for the PS 3. now might just be nostalgia talking but it was one I played all the time as a kid, and looking back on it, it looks like a good game. I remember playing on Bristol and trying to flip my car in crashes with yellow flags off.

My favorite NASCAR game is NASCAR Inside Line on the Wii because it has the polish and content of a top tier racing game and yet it somehow runs on the Wii. It has a full career mode with a custom team, performance upgrades, dynamic sponsor signing and rewards, decent 4 player split screen, championship mode, all of the 2012 cars and tracks, challenges, and historic challenges (only downside being that the AI drivers don't know how to avoid wrecks, personally though I don't mind it because it makes really funny crashes)
Definitely the most underrated NASCAR game (I am only talking about the Wii version as the other versions are not impressive due to it virtually being the same as the Wii version.)

Nascar Racing 1994 as well as the Indy Car version from Papyrus. Mostly without sound because DOS struggles.. but at least with a joystick. Remember my father and me writing down our laptimes on post its next to the PC as well as car setups that improved them.

I think that that 2019 group qualifying was awesome. I honestly have zero problems with that format and feel that this was amazing.

My favourite NASCAR game of all time is Draftmaster, although I'm also incredibly biased.
Favorite NASCAR Racing game OAT is the godfather of iRacing; NASCAR Racing 2003 Season from Papyrus Racing.
I bought it brand new (as well as NR2002, NR4, NR3, NR2 and the original NASCAR Racing), and I still have my copy of 2003. It's the only one I've played that feels like a simulator, and that's what I go for.

NASCAR Heat 4 I didn't get to play any of the EA games or dirt to daytona and I only played 2012 for Eut so I played mostly the heat games and 4 is the best of the 5 but I wish they carried over some of the features from the games like Heat 2 with the best Hotseat style or Heat 3 I loved the track history for the challenges instead of the skins or heck I liked Heat 2 with the drivers commentating on the track and the best way to run it.
