Thanks for the detailed instructions. I am an aircraft mechanic and just got one of these. I have never had a Chrysler, Mercedes, or Karmann of any kind. You showed the things I needed to know. So far love the car!
Absolutely! Thank you for watching. It’s a pretty fun a unique car. Learning to maintain it yourself is the main thing because the Mercedes end of it can make things pricey. I will be posting a cabin air filter change come this spring when I pull it out of storage. Thanks again!
Thank you so much! Friend of mine just mentioned to me that I could squeeze out a little HP by upgrading the air filter and I wanted to see what I was getting myself into. Would you mind confirming which filters you used? He said K&N as well and it looks like there is only one made for the Crossfire, but I thought I heard you mention getting a different one, so I wanted to ask. Thanks!
Did your Mom notice a difference in power? Im looking at AFE filters for my Crossfire, as they don't have oil, but, are washable, just like the K&N. Cool video- good to see your attention to detail in cleaning out the airbox.
Hi and thanks for the comment I appreciate it! I would say in my experience driving it I have noticed many be a slight change in power. At the amount that filters can give you you may not notice it much and you may think you notice it a lot which could be a placebo affect. But it definitely will give you more power regardless and hey it’s more economical
@@64KarmannGhia Silly question, but I swear I’ve only ever replaced them like once, and I’ve noticed a slight increase in my temperature gauge recently, could this be due to the fact that I haven’t replaced them?
@@josh5dude it very well could be.. however in order for that to be, they more than likely have to be pretty dirty/clogged up. Generally it’s something you should just keep up on with maintenance! I would definitely inspect them
@@64KarmannGhia So yeah, that fixed my problem almost immediately. Filters were completely caked up, and even had particles from leaves in them. Same with the cabin air filter. 🙃 Whoops...
the k & n filters I just ordered for my crossfire can be washed and reused every 50,000 miles. the ads say they are good for the life of the car so the high price is a no brainer for me..
I have a Chrysler crossfire that when it sits for a few days the fan blows at high speed from engine causing it to not start or do anything any suggestions?

Great! Would have never figured it out on my own. Thank you, well done!
Glad I could help! Definitely isn’t an easy one to figure out if you haven’t done it before
Hate to admit it, but same. 🤦🏻♂

C Hustles hmmm that’s one issue I have never heard of.. maybe the blower relay? A fuse possibly? That sounds like a very tricky issue
there is a you tube site called Crossfire Repairs by Paul..He is very good...might have an answer for you
