    I did that same thing mine is a 80 gallon tank I didn't even put a whole cup of bleach and it took forever to get the bleach smell out of the system

      Good to know! We got rid of the smell after about 3 flushes

      @@GratefulGlamper here in California I would feel guilty draining the tank to begin with so I guess I would wait until it was halfway full and running three flushes with it seems like a big No-No around here just to comment about our water shortage

    I noticed the hard water deposits on your bathroom faucet. Some of those aerators have a screen that will block and collect debris. I recommend taking them off before the start and putting in a zip lock style bag with vinegar to soak for the time the tank is sanitizing. Then a quick pass with a scrubber or old tooth brush and they are clean, and the flushing thru the lines won't have anything stopped by them if they have the screens. Would be a good time to do the shower head and any kitchen sink sprayer or aerator it has too.

    Thanks for the video. FYI there is no such thing as a “hot” water heater.

      Due to metal parts in the hot water heater - we explain more in the video as to why :)

    This is very interesting in the past two years I’ve become pretty much a fan and the gurus of RV videos which used to be RV geeks. are kind of gone and I think that’s because of the great production of grateful clamper and I can I can name on and on and on and myself RV fun with Thomyt. More information and more fun with RVs. Thomyt

    👍😎🍻🇨🇦… Do you sanitize once a Year?

    • @michaelnlisa8207
      @michaelnlisa8207 3 года назад +1

      yes, I have the same question--how often do you do this?

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  3 года назад +2

      It depends on factors like how long the RV sits in one spot and out door temp. We move around a ton so once every 6 months or so we sanitize.

  • @jajs283

    We just couldn’t waste that amount of water. We would wait till the tank was at half or drained the water into another tank.

    Enjoyed the tutorial! Question: is there a strip test you can use to make sure your lines are flushed? Like a pool strip test? Not sure my nose would be the best way to tell?

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  3 года назад

      Great question! I would assume you could use a pool strip test that detects chlorine to check.
