The reality of the hunt, if you shoot and don't find it you're done. You just can't keep shooting. I have hunted with Wesley twice, my first hunt, first animal was a Buffalo. He came from behind us and first shot was 15 yards. What a hunt and what a guide. Won't do Africa without Wesley.

The first shot on the first buffalo looked way too high. The dust showed it. Usually thats it, then theres no more buffalo to hunt on that trip.

When the guys drink in the field after shooting an animal we go back to camp for lunch and head out the afternoon again. It’s not always portrayed that way on the videos as we try cut to the action as much as possible. But I agree with you, if someone drinks even 2 beers and continues to hunt right away I would also feel uncomfortable

That is the purpose of hunting. The money generated by hunting the animals too old to breed and are pushed out of the herd, goes toward conservation of the rest of the herd. Hunting is highly regulated.

@@danieltostes7340 have you ever donated to conservation, or worked in conservation, to help conserve animals? If not, I don’t know why you’re complaining the only people that do contribute to conservation in any meaningful way are hunters and fisherman that is the truth. All these animals would be gone long gone. Without hunting, you were clearly misinformed. Don’t take my word for it. Look it up. The farmers of South Africa would wipe all these animals out as they are competition for beef and sheep and pigs. Zimbabwe stop hunting in the 70s almost all their animals are gone. Don’t take my word for it. Look it up.

These hunts are strictly regulated. The tags... the permit to hunt an animal... are very expensive. This money is used to pay the salaries of the rangers who protect the animals from poachers. It also pays for damages caused to local farmers and herders. Because of this, locals are less likely to kill marauding animals. The meat from game animals is delivered to the locals.
Without hunters there would be no animals.

I have to say, the whooping and laughing is definitely an Americanism and as a hunter myself, I also don't like it. it makes no sense. I have hunted with Germans, Spaniards and South Africans and there is none of that. Its a learned cultural norm. And its gross.
