@@ubeii yep it´s pretty much impossible at this point . the only way you can "trade" yourself up from 100 is if you invest your starting 100 into something like stockholm capsules and wait and see if they go up in price - than you can sell them and have 4-5x times the original budget and repeat with some new items (you also have to get lucky) but it took more than a year for stockholms to get to this point - nobody wants to wait this long to do some kind of a challenge (and it is also not really trading , its just another way around it to multiply your starting budget) . at this point people are more careful which is a good thing , nobody will sell you rare skin for cheap these days .

Even though I cheated in MANY WAYS it was still a failed experiment because it was so difficult. Its is VERY hard to start off trading from scratch, much harder than people think. So I think, for it to be worth your time, starting trading from $100 is not worth it or at the very least VERY difficult and time consuming. I would not recommend 😐 - I didn't start with $100 since NO ONE who had an item in that price range wanted to trade - I already had some skins since before (stickers etc) that boosted my inventory value so I look more legit And I still didn't manage to start trading from the new account because NO ONE would trust me (which is kind of good).
Well that trade definitely didn't count but the challenge still failed. I couldn't find a trade within budget even after a LONG TIME trying. The only trade I even managed to do was for 7x the budget, so it was super stupid.
Just a disclaimer, this seems as though it could be a good opportunity for scammers to pretend to be a RUclipsr attempting a similar challenge. Just be careful boys, same rules always apply ❤

I did a lot of trading back in the days (over 15k trades and 15k market transactions, probably went over 100k$ sold/bought combined on opskins (f)) and valve effectively killed small/mid traders with all the trading restrictions and the keys change was just a nail in the coffin

So basically, getting into trading is impossible even if your profile looks and IS legit. You'll have to gain a rep by becoming a kinda "celebrity" in the scene by any other means than actually trading people with people..
As a TF2 reseller i felt this aswell. Its hard to start up even knowing you're legit. But, if you just keep pushing doing you're best. Some day you will come thru. I did that and as soon as i had my first 2+reps, it slowly began getting easier and easier.
Thats so sad, I remember when steam had no restrictions and I would do low lvl trading by bying a csgo key, trade it for an item that was under 3 euro, sell that item on the market, buy key again and keep the profit. I would do that so much, each time getting closer to a second key so I could do faster trading and so on untill I had enough for knife. Another old tactic was to add people from the steam market and offer them your cheaper skin for the skin they were trying to sell, it worked surprisingly well.

I think that the problem with this challenge is that you need to start smaller, and very SLOWLY build your reputation. To you, maybe 100 dollars doesn't seem like much, but to any normal person, that's quite a lot of money. Reputation is something that comes with time, and most people start off small, like in the 5-10 dollar range.
