    I think one key point that needs to be a factor here is, for this to work in Utah everyone is expecting the Miller family or the Smith group to be the owners. Fisher is expecting to move to Vegas and still be the owner. I don't think anyone is going to roll out the red carpet in Utah for some outside owner to come in. I'm not sure about the legal aspect of it. But the late Larry Miller is truly a legend here. He purchased the Jazz and turned it into a great franchise. So I would not expect Utah to welcome the A's unless Fisher wants to sell. Fortunately there are several other clubs that might be on the move, as well as expansion.

    I might be biased because I'm from Utah, but it's pretty crazy to me that they're insistent on moving the team to Vegas, when Vegas doesn't seem to even want them. Meanwhile, Utah has an eager ownership group, with a site, and 900 million potential dollars to build a stadium.

    • @laughingunderwater
      @laughingunderwater 3 месяца назад +1

      Vegas has a bigger market potential and more corporate sponsorship opportunities. It’s also more tourist focused so their incentive to put out good (expensive) teams is lowered since they can focus more on the visiting fans, like the owner said he’s just excited to see Aaron Judge hit dingers. With that said there is a chance they could do the funniest thing possible by going after the dbacks

    Here's my hunch. Fisher and MLB ideally want a new MLB park built in Vegas and the A's move there. If not, Fisher and Vivek Ranadive get a new MLB park built in Sacramento and the A's stay there. If Vegas gets the A's, Utah gets the expansion team. If Sacramento gets the A's, another Vegas ownership group step in, get/pay for the new ballpark, and Vegas gets the expansion franchise with Utah looking for a relocation scenario like the Coyotes, maybe the White Sox....?

    CD isn't wrong... 😃...Send him a bottle of Windex...To Dave's point about will current Oakland fans follow the team wherever they go, or transfer their loyalties to the Giants, et al. It's not just the A's. MLB has been a fecatorium for its entire existence, only now it's intolerable with the absolute contempt shown toward the A's fans - and by extension, all fans - by Manfred, and that brainless tribe they call MLB Ownership. It's Baseball as a whole. MLB stinks too much to be near, and since they've eaten MiLB, that's no good either. For a fan like me, all we can do is wait for teams like the Oakland Ballers to change the entire landscape of the sport back to something it once - or maybe never was - a wholesome, enjoyable experience, surrounded by people having fun, good food, and unpretentious, affordable ballpark experiences...David Stern learned from his Seattle mistake, the Kings are rightfully still in Sacramento for that reason, and hopefully Kansas City gets a team back in the future for their loss. Adam Silver learned from him. Gary Bettman also learned from Stern, and thus the Coyotes have been moved yes, but a seedling has been kept in Phoenix so as not to alienate the market. MLB on the other hand, has insulted, mocked, cheated, extorted, and lied to Oakland fans and taxpayers, trying to get the dull knife in their drawer, John Fisher, a free lunch. I'm proud of Oaklanders for standing up to this kind of treatment even though it meant losing another team. I'm still proud of San Diego for showing the Spanos family the door...But I think Oakland is done with MLB, and that is due to the fact that the city really showed their collective asses on this one too. The last straw being that they lost all the Howard Terminal agreements, whether by negligence, cowardace, or just plain apathy on he part of city and county governments. Are taxpayers going to kick yet another half a billion to jumpstart that process all over again? I seriously don't think so...Every accolade well deserved, Brodie...By the way. Dave. NBA officials don't even call palming anymore, let alone traveling (unless they get a call from the books and have to do a little massaging on the point spread of course)... 😏...How do you expect them to monitor a four or five man line change and a five foot arc?... 😃

    Nevada Supreme Court already shut down Schools of Stadiums chances of putting funding on the November ballot . They are allowed to try again next year but by then the stadium would already have been started ..Every poll taken show there is very little interest from the people of the A’s coming to Las Vegas .Thus entire deal was pushed through by politicians who got paid for their vote and casino owners who want more tourists to spend money at their casinos .Make no mistake that this move isn’t for the people of Las Vegas to get a MLB team but just another way for a con artist owner to get the people to pay for something they don’t even want . If there is justice every politician who voted for SB1 and took money from the A’s to do it , and is up for re election gets thrown out of office by the people whose money they are stealing to give to a billionaire and the worst owner in all of sports . You would have to be a complete idiot to think Fisher is going to invest in this team after he arrives in Las Vegas . His history speaks for itself.

Fisher /Kaval were complicit in the entire scheme . So now Oakland is out yet another professional sports team , Las Vegas is being stuck with a team nobody wants and has to pay a billionaire the privilege of being screwed .Oakland/ Alameda city council , Nevada legislature along with Clark county legislature, Manfred, all have their fingers on this.
