The Fed takes 5 cents off the Federal tax if you add 10% ethanol. That .05 crucial for profit margins at small mom and pop stations. Some terminals are selling premium w/out ethanol, the retailers I deliver to charge a dollar more per gallon for it. Just get a lead substitute to add lubricity to pump premium and save.

Same where I am from. Ethanol helps the fuel burn better.

Thanks. I have been looking for specs sheets on mobils regular vs supreme. It's best that I test it myself. I really hope I'm not overpaying for supreme. (50cents more)

If it’s not advertised as ethanol free it likely has 10%+ usually says on the yellow sticker next to the number how much ethanol is in the gasoline

Use recreational fuel in your small engines. If you use them often in the summer months, normal gas is ok, but in high humidity environments or if your equipment sits for a bit, use ethanol free recreational gas. If you put your equipment up for the winter. Fill the take completely with recreational fuel. Sta-Bil doesn’t help. If you don’t, pretty good chance I will see you and your equipment in my shop to clean that carb and replace fuel lines. 👍👍. Fuel good, ethanol in fuel bad. 😂😂

Thank you. I belong to a Facebook outboard motor group and one of the subjects that comes up is people stating " buy 93 octane because it doesn't contain alcohol". This is false, a myth, an old wives tale or whatever you choose to call it. The ONLY way today to know for sure you are buying non blended fuel is to test it yourself. Test kits are cheap and readily available.

Been running 87 ethanol in my fleet of mowers for 20+ years without a problem. You just don’t let it sit for a long period of time

This guy knows ethanol is fine but the shelf life is not fine. In a gas tank that’s vented. Ethanol attracts water and becomes saturated with water. That’s why If it sits around for 10 days it will attract water and it almost impossible to get out. It doesn’t separate it bonds to the ethanol and that’s why ethinal doesn’t do it’s job after it sits. But also in an air right container they say it’s shelf life is indefinite. So if your storing fuel. Make sure it’s sealed and no water can get in.
