My cat used to sit by mousetraps , wait patently until it snapped and then proudly give it my dad and dad would give her a treat. They say animals have to be pretty smart to use tools, so clever girl.
@fatalisticbunny - I agree. I was so pleased when Morgan switched to classical music several months ago. It seems he can find the perfect composition for the "action." And classic music tends not to overwhelm the video or narration, even when the volume is not perfect - another plus.
I always love seeing your animals, Morgan! By the way, I've been saying this for a while now, you need to name a BLACK DUCK, DARKWING DUCK please! Have a great day!
Happy winter to you! Funny Lil Barn Cat!--I guess that's better than smelling a dead mouse later! LOL! Glad the boys were so easy to move. My rabbits definitely have more energy on the cool days --I just moved two of my new breeders-to-be to their permanent homes yesterday.
Oooh, I can feel the chill of frost from here, lol, almost seems like it's trying hard not to snow doesn't it. Cattle seems to be settling in just fine, curious to see how much they use the barn this year. Thanks Morgan for the update, see you soon!
Good job on fixing the problems. Love ur work in respects outside & inside. And hopefully u will remember to prepare the hose so it dose not freeze again. Make a sticks put them in several places. “ did I remember to set up the hose?” I have to do this with a lot of things. That’s how I deal with my reoccurring forgetfulness.
I like the name Joan Jett for the chicken. Maybe Audrey was asserting her boss cow status when she went with the boys. She did not anyone going anywhere without her going first.
I can see that this cap is your favourite lately, I'm a bit jealous of being so far, I wanted to make a few different colours for you and Allison, some knitted some crocheted
Every time we used a fire hose in the coast guard, , took the hose out to the pier and walked out all the water and then stowed the hose properly.. I advise that procedure for you,,,, or just install inground especially the close to home stuff
Cog Hill built a great cover for their water pump that is insulated. Top cover comes off and you can open the door. You might want to look at their design
@ 0:36 Seeing those Cattle w/ some " Frost " on their fur, Cracked me Up ( > to those of a foreign language it means it caused, " Great Amusement " ), Not to worry, Had those Cattle been wild, This would Have been a Typical Occurrence ! And they would Have suffered No Harm !
first time comment long time viewer. We enjoy watching you develope and expand the farm. Yes we know you couldn't live off this type of farm yet and obviously making money off content. But we enjoy the content and the dogs are great if we get one it will be this breed for sure. You have let us just share your learning experiences and been very transparent about the profits made from eggs and such. so let the critics wine. I admire you developing a on camera personality while as you shared having to overcome insecurities in the past such being chubby or not the popular kid. You developed as a person and I would have never known these things but you brought in and were vulnerable honest and open. Thanks so much God Bless
Chickens respond to blood. If the mouse was slightly cut open, the chicken will peck at the opening. The taste of food will have them continue to peck at it. This is why you have to be careful when one of the chickens in the lower rank of the pecking order gets bullied by the flock. Once they see blood on the bullied chicken, they will continue to peck at that wound. You will have to separate that chicken until the would heals up and no sign of blood.
Oh from ne Missouri, water kept inside buildings usually didn't freeze as fast, (even in unheated barns) also partial covers (sheet of plywood or sheet of metal on top of tanks help to keep outside water from freezing as fast.
Hi Morgan. It occurs to me you need 4 more pallets to make your goose nests more private, so that there is only space fir one goose in the doorway. I would also consider some lightweight covers. If you have leftover down make deep nests in the hay lined with down, but only if you want natural hatching, works well with ducks.
And proof that all the time you’ve spent with Macho Man is paying off. That was impressive moving him out of the female herd. Learned something new today Morgan, I had no idea that chickens would eat a dead mouse. Plus you can take a barn cat out of the barn but they never forget the barn cat lessons. See the cat got the mouse before it could stink up your house. She is still a productive member of the farm.
Pepe Longstocking, she had weird hair. 😅 I bought Sookie this toy yesterday. It was a pull toy. A cartoon stuffed reindeer with a squeaker & green pants. Rope on both ends. I thought it might last. Boy, was I wrong. She ran it around the house, shook it, chewed it tore out the stuffing to get to the squeaker prise.. She worked it over. Today it's a rag of its former cuteness. Half of the rope is gone it has holes & rips it's quite the mess. The best part of the toy explosion is she still loves it & still hauling it around the house.. That's my girl.❤️ Have a great weekend.. 🙋🏼♀️🐈🐕✨️🎄
Interesting how the chicken prefer cramming into that tiny space. Maybe you want to offer more confined spaces? That’s more work though overall, just to make some chicken feel better. It’s probably warmer, if the warm air can’t escape above, and their body heat doesn’t have to heat the whole big space.
For the frozen hydrant, get a heated electrical cord to wrap around the hydrant, or take a bucket of warm water and pour it over the hydrant. Don't try to force the hydrant or it will have to be readjusted when you strip the handle setting.
I think Randy should get the positive reinforcement for following you right away and not later, so he can better connect it. But just my thought and I have no expertise :D Nice quick update video
Hey Morgan for fun and to see how yr dogs. Mostly would react, would u ever dress up like a trespassing person to see how crazy they would get, loved to see . Big Prayers btw For Rescue Ranch (Ben). We lost big ounce, he was thee sweetest prairie dog on U Tube 🤍🕊️
wow , leaving a hose on the hydrant is a great was to split the pipe. that is not a good situation as you have to dig up the hydrant…in the frozen ground. i try to be extra careful with that as it gets a bit cool her in Wisconsin. 5 more regular milking days and we stop making cheese for the winter.
Apropos of nothing in this particular video, the litter-robot that Morgan showed us a few videos ago -- the one that some viewers say changed their life -- is $100 off at Costco now -- online only. Been waiting. Goin' for it. 🐈🐱 and ... a few hours later, they're already out of stock at Costco website. 😿
My cat used to sit by mousetraps , wait patently until it snapped and then proudly give it my dad and dad would give her a treat. They say animals have to be pretty smart to use tools, so clever girl.
Why eat a dirty old mouse when you can have a nice clean treat?
Nice to see your patience in moooving the cattle.
Short, but sweet. Thanks for a cute video with your animals.
I always love the background music you choose for all the moments on your farm.
@fatalisticbunny - I agree. I was so pleased when Morgan switched to classical music several months ago. It seems he can find the perfect composition for the "action." And classic music tends not to overwhelm the video or narration, even when the volume is not perfect - another plus.
Love when you greet the farm dogs.🐕🐕
They are so hApPy to s👀 you 🐶🐶
GORGEOUS frost. Lovely ice on the pond. Beautiful sunrise. Thanks for sharing with us! 🌬❄️ ❤❤❤
❤ The birds exit from the Hoop Coop reminds me of rush hour traffic on the Long Island Expressway. ❤
I always love seeing your animals, Morgan! By the way, I've been saying this for a while now, you need to name a BLACK DUCK, DARKWING DUCK please! Have a great day!
I love this name! Excellent!
Name the chicken Alfalfa because of the weird hair
❤❤
Perfect name 😹
Yup, I’d go for that too. 😊
but there's no darla...
@@RoseNZieg just give it a few years and Morgan will be in the ‘D’s for cows.
Snow in Scotland too.
I think she should be Cyndi Lauper for the weird hairdo. We love your channel and all your animals ❤
Was coming here to say this!
Aww Lil is cute 🐱 Also glad to see Ralph in the thick of it @5:02 🦆
Poor Macho has so many burdocks on his head!
pretty sure thats joey who has the burdock, since he doesnt like morgan touching him so its harder to get it out
Oooh, I can feel the chill of frost from here, lol, almost seems like it's trying hard not to snow doesn't it. Cattle seems to be settling in just fine, curious to see how much they use the barn this year. Thanks Morgan for the update, see you soon!
Thanks for the beautiful music you add to your videos, I love classical.
Excellent choice of bg music for the Delicate Dance with the Cattle :)
❤❤❤ the “POLITENESS/COURTESY” expressed with the moving of 🐂!!
Toby isn't "broken", he's resting. He works the graveyard shift!
Crazy hair bird = Phyllis Diller She was an awesome comedian back in the day
Lil barn cat still has the skills at least with her ears. She just earned her keep. Cats ears are always awake.
All the ‘hairy’ things are feeling great in this weather!
I agree with the above - name crazy haired chicken Phyllis.
Oh, Morgan! 1:08 to 1:14 I instantly reviewed a few times just for the Happy Attack of Tobey and Abby to see you in the morning. Magical!
With that funky hairstyle, I think she's called Spike.

i love this time of year it's been -5C here and we have snow and everything feels so quiet out ♥
Lol Toby Dog is broken O'no......A happy thanks to you Morgan & your Wife.....Thanks my friend 👍
Old F-4 Shoe🇺🇸
Love the weird chickens.❤❤❤❤
Cyndi Lauper for your flippy feathered female chicken.
She's So Unusual!
The winter is nice, you'll probably get a lot of snow soon. Toby is sweet and funny, what he did was so cute! The story about Lil Barn Cat was nice.
Toby dog enjoying a sun bath that was cute.
I miss "All ducks go to bed!"
i love the nice decorative plant borders along the inside of the coop ~ looks like it could also be a mural or wall paper ~
Winter videos at gold Shaw farm are my favorite!!
I like the name Joan Jett for the chicken. Maybe Audrey was asserting her boss cow status when she went with the boys. She did not anyone going anywhere without her going first.
How many cows look pregnant?
Another good day on the Farm,
Great video all the animals are adorable
I can see that this cap is your favourite lately, I'm a bit jealous of being so far, I wanted to make a few different colours for you and Allison, some knitted some crocheted
Brrrr! Vicariously enjoying your cold weather from Arizona, where we are getting a little drizzle in the 60's. Deepest winter for us! 😅
Every time we used a fire hose in the coast guard, , took the hose out to the pier and walked out all the water and then stowed the hose properly..
I advise that procedure for you,,,, or just install inground especially the close to home stuff
Installing in the ground would be expensive. The frontline is on average sixty inches deep around here. And a lot of times it is even more.
Cog Hill built a great cover for their water pump that is insulated. Top cover comes off and you can open the door. You might want to look at their design
Phyllis Diller for the new chicken would be a Great Idea! 😂

She was proud of it lol good girl lil barn cat😻
😅😅3:20 Little Barn Cat providing food for your starving chickens. ❤❤❤❤

For the chicken name. First thing that came to mind on seeing her head was Phyllis Diller.
You need a supplementary water pre-heater for the hose. Perhaps solar or ground sourced heat pump.
Name the hen Cindi Lauper..."GIRL'S JUST WANNA HAVE FUN" 😅
One day you will wake up to a major snow. Your farm is beautiful year round.
aww your dinos didnt want the mouse
Oh from ne Missouri, water kept inside buildings usually didn't freeze as fast, (even in unheated barns) also partial covers (sheet of plywood or sheet of metal on top of tanks help to keep outside water from freezing as fast.
Name her, Phyliss Diller.
Love the early morning posts

Hello from Germany ❤
mini raptors for sure those chickens. 🙂
lol the weird chicken coop has become like a clown car, more comes out than looks like fits inside.
Always disconnect the hose from the hydrant when colder weather comes.
it's probably warmer in the weird chicken roost.
I can almost hear Abbey sing "Do you want to build a snowman?"
The video is showing us the up to date daily chores.
^5 Little Barncat! Her instincts are intact and her ears still work. She heard that trap go.
Good morning. It's 43 here an chance of rain. I live in SE Kansas
I'm in Alabama. I sitting in my recliner having my morning coffee with the front door open.
It would be cool to see a time-lapse video of the birds spreading around the bunches of straw.
And proof that all the time you’ve spent with Macho Man is paying off. That was impressive moving him out of the female herd.

We got this cold snap about two days ago.
Water really is the biggest problem.
I hope you find a vet soon😊

Dancing with the cattle. 😄 Did you ever think about giving Lil Barn Cat a new name for her new job like Lilly the house cat? Just a suggestion.
Lil' is short for Lillian.
That chicken is Joan Jett for sure ❤
You take on a lot Morgan, don't over extend you.
I think Randy should get the positive reinforcement for following you right away and not later, so he can better connect it. But just my thought and I have no expertise :D Nice quick update video
Hi Morgan ,wish I had hair like your weird chickens, 🤣♥️😊
I'd like the chicken to be called Siouxsie Sioux after the British punk musician. The hair and the feathers are equally wild. 😊❤❤❤😊
You’re the cow whisperer Morgan 😂❤
Good work
Name for creamy leg bar. Phillis Diller. A blast from the past with crazy hair!
Looks like you could use a check list.
You have the best job in the entire world... 😂🎉
I did the same thing with the hose spliter and froze the line.😢
Funky haired-hen: call her Joan Jett~!
❤❤
Your Creamy Legbar chicken's hairdo reminds me of the singer Pink's mohawk. I'd name her Pink.
I must have missed a video somewhere, what ended up happening with the pigs??
Harvested
The chicken reminded me of Phyllis Diller 😂
Chicken with the crazy hair should be called Ru Paul ❤
Chicken is Cleopatra methinks!! :-) She's darling with a headdress!
Name the chicken w the funky hair Cindy Lauper

"We don't want no stinking mouse" LOL
Abby as crazy as ever, funnily enough it was -8c for me last night so in a rare case of it being just as cold as Gold Freezing Farm
Did I miss a clip on an update on the pigsty post slaughter? I’m curious how fertile it must be and can only wait for the summer to see it’s results 😊
love these
@2:31 yes call her Cream Bar, or Creamy Chim kin, or Cream Crepe..
havent seen u using the halter at all on randy haha
has that gone away? wouldnt that have been more useful?
is he not halter trained anymore
