Amy’s honestly makes some really good stuff. Of course it’s hard to make it look pretty but everything is organic, real ingredients without any weird stuff like the other brands have.
However they should not market gf. Apparently a celiac called the company and they said its not safe. That always bothers me. If it's on shared equipment, it's not gluten free. Not for us celiacs! Just a reminder for those celiacs and gf peeps.

In Banquet's defence they only cost $1. Not a true apples to apples comparison.
Banquet meals are definitely the thing you buy one of and leave in your freezer for a dire emergency. Then once you eat it, you say never again, but once you're at the store, you buy another one because it did save you that one time.

When I saw the title, I interpreted it as they would get frozen meals, then Josh would create his versions of them and they'd compare the two. I'd be down for a video like that.

Unless they added what Elliot said Josh's would win every single round because he'd be making probably once frozen but still completely freshly made food that hasn't been through any extra processing like frozen foods from a store. And he'd get fancy with the spices.

Confession: I made a tuna casserole with bread slices instead of noodles (yes, that was what the recipe used). The bread on the bottom was soggy like the "stuffing" in the frozen turkey dinners. Oddly, I really enjoyed it and lovingly refer to the tuna casserole as Tuna Nasty. I can't wait to make Tuna Nasty again!!

It’s probably because they microwaved everything rather than using the oven! It makes a huge difference

Yeah but they just followed directions. If you eat it often you definitely don't follow instructions, you have your own way because you know the product and your equipment.
I know TV dinners aren't the best but when I make them I put them in the oven and they're usually at least twice as good as in the microwave. The Stouffer's lasagna is much better in the oven.

If you have one near you and you like Indian food, Indian grocers have some really good tv dinner brands (there is a brand called "Deep"). Their meals are delicious!

You guys absolutely overcooked pretty much all of these. Frozen dinners aren’t exactly the best looking food but it helps when you don’t burn the gravy or sauce in the container.
Sometimes that happens no matter what when you follow the cooking directions, so it’s not necessarily their fault.
Seriously, I thought they had hired cooks too. Do they not know how to use a microwave?

Here in the UK they have the words "Serving suggestion" printed on the box near the picture, as if to tell you if it doesn't look like the picture it your fault for not serving correctly 😉

I like the idea, but they wouldn't be able to hold them to the budget. Just because of the price of food, and the amounts you can buy of each thing. Including cost as a factor of the judging would still be cool!!

I've eaten many stouffer's lasagna and it doesn't look anywhere near as bad the ones they have lol. But then again, I cook it in the oven, not the microwave.

Idk what y'all did to that lasagna but I eat the cheese lovers, the exact one you have. In the microwave, to the exact instructions, and mine always looks almost exactly like the box. Maybe Josh just couldnt stand a frozen dinner to actually be good so he sabataged it lol.

SUGGESTION: put non-consumable liquids through water filters to see if the product is still as effective. For example, put Dawn dish soap through a filter and see if it cuts through grease as easily. And the same for laundry soap on dirt and grass stains. Heck, maybe even hydrogen peroxide on blood! 😱
