- OTK = Getting your opponent from 8000+ LP(or whatever is the starting LP in the format) to 0 in one turn.
FTK = Defeating your opponent on your very first turn.

In typical anime style, the Tournament arc gets interrupted by a massive threat, and the protagonist is the first to face it(and inevitably fall. Unless they don't. That would be a funny twist in an anime; though at the cost of a potentially hype villain). Will Shu be able to return and defeat this threat? Will he have to abandon Gem Knights in the pursuit of power? Just how strong is this witch of calamity? Find out next time, on NijiEN Z.

Shu playing Dark Magician or Phantom Knights would be good. Millie with Witchcrafters and Prank Kids would be cool too.

Came back here after Millie won the Buddy System tournament yesterday lol. Millie is really cracked in card games and her luck is just omg
the difference between his first duel and second duel was basically going from yugioh season 1, then jumping into the future for a modern yugioh match with your old deck.
As a madolche player I'd like to say, those types of plays are pretty normal and feel great to pull off. Also she's a gamer and just watching that Millie girl summon nearly everything in the archetype(that was actually viable) was great to watch. The plays were just, *Chef's kiss*.
Its pretty normal for a madolche user, to just summon almost tiaramasu in turn 1

I was originally gonna make a comment about the Xyz pronunciation, like “finally! Someone else who knows it’s Ikseez and not exceed!”, but instead I got hit with culture shock instead and learned that exceed is how it’s pronounced in the JP version. (At least that’s what it sounds like. I could be wrong.)

Just came back after watching the Shadowverse buddy and damn Millie's scary like Potwasher says.
goofed her combo - from madolche she is supposed to summon anjely, and from anjely hootcake - this will make anjely being in graveyard, so when she use madolche chateu, it will return Anjely from graveyard to deck, and it will activate Chocolata-ala-mode again, summoning another messengelato (if it didnt bricked in her hand) activating another spell, mostly salon, then she makes another Glassoufle, creating sistart - summoning sistart will send madolche to grave, activating glassoufle effect, returning cards from grave to hand/deck, activating salon and being able to set negate trap card, madolche is rogue deck
Always reminds me why she has max atk stat but at the same time asking my common sense "how" when her int stat is negative...
As a previous Madolche user, I knew he was dead the moment I saw mageline.
But fr though why would she end turn with Tiara and A-La-Mode on field those are the otk tools. Sistart, glassouffle pass is the way to go 💪

My Yugioh knowledge only extends to tuner decks but this was interesting...the deck I used to use was a dragon deck whose core card was called RE darkness metal dragon which you can summon by sacrificing a dragon monster to the "other graveyard" and special summoning it, it's effect enables it to special summon any dragon type from your hand or the graveyard, if I get future fusion and dragon mirror on first turn I can summon 5 headed dragon and use RE dragon passive in the graveyard to special summon the RE darkness metal dragon. Which can then special summon other dragons like BE white dragon.
Shu has seen nothing Yugioh has to offer.

@@tristancummings5925 Viable is a strong word, but yeah, there's Gem-FTK which is pretty comedy if you go first and don't get handtrapped much but that's almost never happening and I'm not familiar with other variants but I'm sure something's there. None of them are "good" but the deck is playable to some extent.
I feel bad for Shu. He just got hit of what ACTUAL Yu-Gi-Oh Meta looks like.

I think what you actually mean is how a modern YGO deck plays like, because Madolche is more of a Rogue deck than a Meta deck
Though not all decks have elaborate combos, you essentially describe how current YGO plays like most of the time

Nah, Madolche combos are just fairly simple and intuitive. I've never seriously played YGO until Master Duel and Madolche was my first deck (after I found out Blue Eyes is poopoo), and it really only takes a couple of hours to figure it out even for a newbie.
I have never been more intimidated than by seeing Millie keep drawing cards without saying a single word, with her eyes closed.....

I kinda felt bad for Shu, he dropped the training weights with his updated Gem Knight deck then got slammed by someone who he didn't really have a chance against.
It feels nice that Millie uses madoche deck since my duel buddy uses madolche does one card combo (literally bounces back every card you have)

I'm a little late, but to further the explanation: It seems to show an example of "exceez" in English and "exceed" in Japanese, judging from the pronunciation and the answer of "yes" afterwards, but it's actually "exceez" in both cases, it's just pronounced horribly in the clip shown. If you know how to read katakana, you can see it ending in -zu down there on the second line. I think it's fair to assume that if they wanted it to be "Exceed", it would be written エクシード (e-ku-shi-i-do) instead. Certainly they use the -zu pronunciation all throughout the Arc V anime in Japanese, that much I know from personal experience.
You can see why they gave millie -3int. Imagine having a 99atk with high int. That negative int balance Millie
