Im Mavs fan and i’m most scared of Luka fatigue, just because if Luka is rested there is no stopping him, basically with Luka and Jokic you never worry if they will show up. But if he is tired he will throw a lot of 3 and will have turnovers.

People really hate the Clippers. Clippers all has a good run winning 7/9 games which includes the Nuggets and all these wins are without Kawhi. And it’s like you forget that’s the past and in the past 30 games basically since the trade deadline Dallas has the 1st ranked defense in the NBA. Just saying don’t underestimate the mavericks because they very well can and likely will be sending you guys home early in the first round.
The mavs are completely different and have played far better post Gafford/Washington. Not to mention the Mavs smashed them in the matchup that actually counted for something. Just sayin.

You guys talking like the mavs defense relies on Luka and Kyrie only. Defense is a team effort it doesn't revolve in only 2 guys. Nobody in the Clippers could stop Luka and probably Kyrie aswell. Mavs got players to slow down PG and Kawhii with PJ, DJJ and Green, plus they now got rim protectors with gafford and Lively.

He’s come up small and choked multiple times in big games such as game 6 VS Spurs, 2018 game 7 VS Warriors, 2015 WCF & last year against Philly are shining examples of him choking and Clippers better not have to rely on Russell Westbrook scoring 20+ to win because he’s never been efficient especially in the playoffs with a career 40.2FG%

B.) Clippers won the last two series. Kawhi is unstoppable

Should be a great series. Clippers seem a little banged up and are an older team. Longer the series goes, the more I like the younger Mavs. Clippers need to beat them quickly to win series. Will be one of the best first round series. Clippers have not played this versión of the Mavs.

Health and durability will be needed for the Clippers to win. I know Kawhi and PG are probably not 100 percent. Playoffs are more physically demanding. No load management option. Should be good basketball
@@frankduci7138 they should be fine, pg has played over 70 games and kawhi 68 so I don’t think load management should be the talk anymore, and James harden hasn’t missed more than a handful of games either so I don’t get the whole old vet team thing, Russ is really the only one who’s missed serious time, and kawhi hadn’t till recently so I think he’s just resting up for the playoffs, the game’s recently where pointless because we were pretty munched locked into the 4 seed so why play if he’s not 100 percent, why not just rest and be 100 percent for the playoffs and it should be a good series, and the clippers once Russ came back are 7-1 besides the game that just happened when almost half the team sat out so I’d say the clippers are rolling just as well and most of that has been with kawhi out of the lineup

But ALL 3 games were BEFORE the Gafford/Washington trade... THATS why we say theClippers never played this version of the Mavs!

Acho forgot Luka BY HIMSELF is a problem for the Clippers-the Mavs took them to six games in 2020 and seven in 2021, and that was when Kyrie was on another team. Joy’s right-it’s really the Clippers who should have more concerns.

I believe that this matchup between the Mavs and Clippers is gonna be one for the ages and I have to lean towards the Mavericks in this matchup. Reason why I side with Dallas is because they have been playing way better this year than what they did in that 2021 playoff run. The Mavericks are 16-2 in their last 18 games and the reason why is because they have been playing great defense and getting the rebounds consistently. Of course when you have 2 of the best closers in the game with Luka and Kyrie, you always have a chance to win a game. So I'm gonna say that the Mavericks win this series by 5 games.

I like it that mavs are a 5th seed low 50-win team. Because the media and the other teams are sleeping on them not realizing they are actually a "65-win team". That is, they are 24-7 in the last 31 days after starting 26-23. 26-23 is when they still have grant williams , no gafford and washington, and kyrie and doncic arent healthy. Completely different team. 30 games including last 16 as #1 defensive team is a pretty significant sample size.
