But last week it finally snapped completely just as he started to swing on a club dig as well 3 hour drive 🤣 Electrical tape saved the day untill we got home then I remembered watching this video and thought brilliant. Yes off set just slightly my dad is very happy with it. Thanks again mate saved a fortune because when I bought the parts I didn't know I could do it so easily 😎
I would do it the old mans way angle grinder . Never realised you could get replacement lugs . Good idea shifting it forward 'The 13 on the fairy stick has a horrible balance even with the block . Heard about reversing .But the front of the coil is more sensitive . Great tip Sid nice one .
Nice job 👍🏻, if I can offer a bit more advice, don’t smooth it off, leave it rough after the first sand papering, it will give both surfaces a better key . Being in Car bodywork , plastic bumpers are a weekly fix . Fantastic money saving tip though, will deffinetly help a lot of people 👏

Great video mate, however maybe next time take the coil cover off incase the excess glue drips down and causes that to be a nightmare to come off next time you need it too. Other than than , great tips and doesn’t seem too technical to sort out! Well done mate
I don't no if this is a common problem as I have only just got a deus with the11in x35 coil . But if mine breaks in the first 5 years I shall be expecting it to be replaced under the warranty. The detector costs enough so it better be fit for purpose.
Clark Fox the deus is a great tool mate, this coil was out of warranty so a fix was needed... just thought id pit it out there for the out of warranty coils 👍🏼

My lug snapped on my orx XP only used it 6 times swinging on field and just snapped clean off very weak and poorly built anyone else had this problem with the orx should I sent it off it's as new and didn't tighten it too much been detecting years

Got a coil that won’t pair have you any ideas of faults that cause it as don’t get issue pairing other coils
