This actually helped me because im mixed and I struggle with my hair and always put in a bun out of the way!! This helped my branch out a bit to control my hair.

I only just discovered a water spritz bottle for my daughters hair, after months of slathering it with just Shea leave in conditioner. Now I do combination of the two. The water alone has been a life saver. She's 4 years old and I'm just starting to learn about this now. I've also finally learned how to use a detangling brush without hurting her. Continuing to learn!
Oof my daughter takes her bonnet off at night (she's not used to it yet) nd her satin pillowcase is more like a security blanket to her so she hugs it instead of leaving it in place and she goes out looking like she's been electrocuted sometimes

This is such a great video! I am mixed myself and was trans racially adopted into a white American family. My mother did not know how to do my hair growing up but she did figure out that conditioner and water helped to tame it a bit. I wish she had known about twisting ! It would have saved me many years of bullying in a predominately upper middle class white private school full of kids afraid of big hair. :( My white mix is Deutsche , Svenska and Dutch(haven't started learning Dutch yet :D) so my hair was so similar to your daughter's hair. I love this video because I plan to have kids myself and I can't wait to do cute styles like this if I have girl and if her hair turns out to be curly :) I do hope your little daughter is bilingual because that is such benefit to a young child! Also she's a stunner, child modeling is an option !

So how well does it work when u have a almost 3 year old that won’t sit still and cries cuz she thinks ur pulling her hair and just makes it worse. My mom needs so much help. Plus she’s always gotta get up at like 5am or so to take the child to daycare before work.

oh shucks! I'm so sorry. I just posted a video today discussing detangling, but I also have a detangling video. The key to minimize time with detangling is to do her hair nightly. Mya's hair takes me a lot longer when I neglect a nighttime routine which is literally just detangling, and quick braids for bed. Mya's hair is very thick and hip length, but when I stick to the night routine I have for her, it takes me 10 minutes to do her hair in the morning. awww, she's a doll. I definitely had "ponytail" days growing up. My hair has always been really soft, curly, slightly wavy and poofy. I used to get clowned, but my my my how the tables have turned.

My daugther is also half German and has the exact same hair your daughter does. How do you keep it from drying out throughout the day. Sometimes we will do the ponytail and as her hair dries it just doesn't look the same. I do twists a lot in her ponytails and other styles. Also thanks for the video and some new styles

My daughter is white and African American. Like your daughter, she is 4 years old. Her hair is no way near being that long or that thick! I keep wondering if it is ever going to get to that point!. Her hair is down to the middle of her back if pulled down straight, but as you know, as soon as you let go of it...boing!! Right back to tight curls. Any suggestions for how to get her hair to grow in length and thickness? Also, I do those twists that everyone says is so easy, but they never look good in the end. They get too loose, but when I am twisting, they are as tight as I can get them. Also, the entire section that is twisted starts to try to curl! Within 5 minutes, she looks like Pippy Long Stocking! Let me know if those are helpful at all! You definitely are not doing wrong at all, please do not think that! Curly hair is SO different, so it just takes longer to figure out and understand. My girls have drastically different curl patterns and hair types.
I am a single dad with a 4 year old daughter. I am trying to learn to do different hair styles for her. Her mother is black, but I would say my daughter hair is more of a white curly texture. I do use products like carols daughter black vanilla for the last couple of years. I was wondering what type of brushes I should use because I noticed it’s not exactly what I use. I do have a Cantu detangler comb and brush. Just wondering if there any tips you can maybe give me? Just a a single dad trying to educate myself and do what’s best for my daughter.

I am a single dad with a 4 year old daughter. I am trying to learn to do different hair styles for her.
Her mother is black, but I would say my daughter hair is more of a white curly texture. I do use products like carols daughter black vanilla for the last couple of years.
I was wondering what type of brushes I should use because I noticed it’s not exactly what I use. I do have a Cantu detangler comb and brush.
Just wondering if there any tips you can maybe give me? Just a a single dad trying to educate myself and do what’s best for my daughter.
