We stayed in Burford for a week, lots of places to go, Burton On the Water is not to far away and it was fabulous, also the wild life park was beautiful. Have a nice time and stay safe.
Burford is our local local site which we visit when we fancy a couple of days away. The Burford Garden Centre at the top of the town is a destination in its own right. It’s also an excellent place to park the motorhome and walk into town. We park at the far side on the gravel area, under a row of trees. While no purchase or ticket is necessary, we like to buy something or have a coffee to say thank you, so to speak. to Last time, when we returned a few hours later, a vintage VW camper had joined our MH. The past and the present looked very good together!
Heading to Burford for the first time soon. Thank you for these useful tips and helpful info. (As you went there pre-covid, be interesting to find out if the parking in the town is still free and what else has changed. Prices no doubt gone up!) 👍
Sorry, I forgot to say, the planes come out of Brice Norton (Carterton). When pilots are being trained they do ‘bumps’ - practicing take off and landing time and again. Our son went to Cokethorpe School near Witney from 2005 to 2018. Summer prize giving was in a marquee in the grounds and the planes doing bumps added an element of chance to what could and could not be heard each year!
Did Burford on my last trip, the wildlife park is well worth a visit, get tickets from the clubs reception, discounted I enjoyed the site just a tad far from the town, there is a motorhome car park though just outside the town Good vid as usual you pair, thumbs up 👍
Dan Trudgeon country, a joint equipment review venture perhaps? A MH similar to yours drove passed him doing the video for his awning lights, couldn’t make out if it was your exact model though.
My Dad looks like Bob he reminds me of him he was 89 when he past away he was of the same stamp of my Dad and Bob's wife reminds me my who also wore glasses and was only 68 when she died of cancer
Hi Bob & Jenny, Thanks for this Vd, I visit family near Bristol every yr. so it’s nice to find good sites to include in a tour. You mentioned satellite signals, do you carry a signal finder you can use when assessing a pitch if so what please. I’m currently on Barra where it’s blowing a hooley, lashing rain but every so often the sun gets through and shines across the bay reminding me why I came. Thanks again. Heidi
Twa Westies Our satellite has a Roadpro automatic satellite finder but sometimes automatically doesn’t find a signal 😂. Enjoy yourself on Barra, we are planning another trip to the OH next year 🙂
"Lovely and quiet here" OH YES AND THERE'S AN RAF BASE NEXT DOOR. I do like the quiet though, maybe one day. You don't eat steak and I am unable to eat seafood. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us tomorrow, but I suppose I'll have to. 👍🖖🏴🏴🏴😎 Quick question. If you can't get satellite, can you get freeview?
It's badged as a Avtex Tourer Two, believe its the same hardware as a Garmin 780 Camper, but with added POI for Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites. See: ruclips.net/video/ezuzf1Ycc6I/видео.html
Hi Bob, any chance you can stop doing the road sign freeze & zoom thing please. It takes away the smoothness of the vlog drive & is so annoying . Also usually there is more than 1 way to get to any given destination, so its a waste of time for at least 50% of people that travel in from a different route, plus as everyone has satnav they will read the signs anyway. I really enjoy your drives & just think they would be so much better without the zooms. Kind Regards Paul
Well that is the first time I heard that. More people have said they find it useful, and personally we like to see the way we went and the roads we took.
@Bob Earnshaw please keep doing these, so important for trip planning in an area you don’t know. Chances are people would be on the same route if they are following the CAMC instructions in the handbook. That’s what sets your channel apart from any other I’ve found 👍🏻
Bob please carry on with the freeze frames of important junctions. Whichever direction you’re coming from it does give a great easy sense of sites location. Keep up the great work you do , I appreciate the time it must take producing excellent videos and commentary.

Love seeing Poppy playing and making friends, I could watch that all day, she's a darling!

Lovely looking site. The doggy area looks pretty big. Thank you for sharing.
I like the look of that site. There is a crocodile visitor centre close by which I would probably give a wide berth!😀 i hope we don’t wake you up! ✈️
Yes, just looked that up, at Brize Norton, 😬 probably best to keep Poppy away from there....
Hi both, another great video, Poppy is a little beauty, enjoy your fish and chips tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing where you are going tomorrow xx
Looks like a nice quiet site. I think that was one of my favourite aeroplanes taking off from Brize there - a Globemaster III transport aircraft.
Looks a lovely site.
Lovely video enjoy your few days away. 👍
The portobello mushroom is the veggie alternative to steak. Despite the number of vans there, (and the passing RAF planes!) it looked very quiet.
The mushrooms were a side dish. We only heard those two planes, while I was filming - of course.

Brize Norton RAF Base
Thought so.

Quick question. If you can't get satellite, can you get freeview?
Lol. Yes I can get Freeview, got a roof aerial too.
I am loving your Sat nav. What model of Garmin is it please?
It's badged as a Avtex Tourer Two, believe its the same hardware as a Garmin 780 Camper, but with added POI for Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites. See: ruclips.net/video/ezuzf1Ycc6I/видео.html
Thank you. Will check it out.
The waste point is badly thought out as most waste pipes drain in the middle and don't think I could get over the drain and not helped by the post .
Poppy is so cute. I notice in some videos you have 2 dogs with you.....are they both yours?
Poppy is ours and Tara is my sister's dog, we look after her when my sister is working away.
Hello There ! I use to live in Witney not far from Buford enjoy stay , Burford is a beautiful place, will catch your visit for definite. 👍👍

I like the zooming in on the road signs, it’s easier if visiting for first time to look up in your arriving series.
