I went to the trail before and I missed that entrance 3 times😂 it was terrible. Because you then have to keep going to the next exit get off then back on other way then back off to get on the Harmon Den Exit Direction again to take another stab at it. It comes Up quick people. GO SLOW. And The Overland Brothers made it look a bit easier than it is. Cheers from Toledo 😊😊😂
It was it had rained the whole day I think it was 1 or 2" of rain and the weekend prior to they had about 3 to 4" of snow that melted to it was a good wet ride lol
I've got a 2013 jeep wrangler sport with the soft top and 6speed trans and I'm going to get me a set of 285 70 16 AT tires and a winch. I want to do this jeep trip. But I don't want to do it by myself. I've heard it's good to have someone with you.
Do ya'll bring extra gas when you go on a trail like this? I have a 99 TJ I am wanting to wheel a little. I currently have a 2 inch lift with 31s but I am hoping to add a 1.25 inch body lift soon and 32-33s. Only thing that sucks is my 3:07 gears and open diffs. I am trying to find a D44 axle with 4:10 gears but they are so hard to find, and when you do they want $2-3000 for them.
We didn’t bring extra gas on this trip we filled up before we got to the trail head and still had plenty of gas by time we got out as long as you plan your route ahead of time and know about how many miles you can go the jeeps once off road generally don’t take that much gas because you’re not traveling at high speeds more or less just putting around for us so they don’t use a lot of gas.
The best way that I could tell you to find out information is to go to NC overlanding on Facebook and ask questions before planning on going people are always up there.
Sweet video! New subscriber here. Going to finally check this out in February!
I love sleeping in the mud. It will bring out the best in a person.
Thanks for the video

Hopefully those differential and transfer case breathers were extended.
Also the WJ prob took some water in the intake, the air box sits low on them.

Hurricane Creek is one of my favorite places. A couple of the campsites have crazy aggressive hornets though.
Wow. I literally just made this drive
I need to move. I live on the coast of north carolina and there are no overlanding trails.
You said in the video you had a trail map where did you get the copy? I’m trying to plan a trip to go!
Hey Chandler! We used the Gaia GPS app. You can see the map details on there. I
Is hurricane creek possible on 32”s? Lexus GX470 with 3in lift and winch

Finally a wj overlanding
I call it my low budget wrangler with a v8 lol it does amazing and can't wait to add more mods to it!
@@theoverlandbrothers5710 when I get my lockers let’s hit the ga traverse wjs look better anyways
I here that trail is a fun one we would love to go when we get a little more equipped.
Brother that looks like a paved road compared to what it was in the 90s.
what size tires on the the red WJ ?
open diffs ?
thank you !
The WJ was a 2 inch spacer lift on 265 7017s and it was the factory diff with vari-lock and I opened up the fenders a bit for clearance.
Looks like a great time. Any way to know if those gates are closed ahead of time? Or is there another way if they are closed?

What is the time of the year here ?
It was New Year’s Day
I live in waynesville
It SUCKS that SO MANY people know about HC now. Its like a freaking walmart parking lot.
Trail is crazily over hyped and over used
I must be tired I thought it was the hurricane brothers at overland creek
😂 Tired or drunk? Either way, no judgement here brother, or sister! Thanks for watching!
