This was a very good game. I was pretty impressed with Mac Jones bouncing back from the pick-6 with a critical TD before the end of the half. It wasn’t a pretty win for the eagles, but they can take what was given to them, which was a barn burner

Brian Johnson coached timid. Jalen Carter's one arm tackle of Mac Jones was what I will remember of this game. That man is strong!!
Really frustrating that it feels like we threw the game away with mistakes, but very happy that the offense looks MUCH improved. Mac really caught fire. Defense gonna be elite again.
Eagles can say the same thing, Hurts fumble and that mind numbing decision to go for it on 4&2 instead of punting and pinning NE deep, both teams were sloppy and not well coached today

The Patriots gave the game away in the 1st quarter. Tom Brady may have been present in the stadium but he was sitting up in the owner's box. That, along with how the Patriots played in the 1st quarter, make it clear that the glory days are definitely over.
Hard fought game and proud of my Pats for hanging in there with a terrific team....... Eagles made a few more plays and have to hand it to their defense especially at the end

NE looks really good, I think they'll surprise a lot of teams. Eagles need to get better offensively. Brian Johnson going up against Bellichick was tough I understand, but he's gotta get better.

Without Brady...losing games in the 4th quarter that were there to win are now the norm.
Turns out you give the Patriots a real OC and they look like a real team. But there's a lot of small details and bad decisions that could've made the difference and won the game. Let's see how they clean things up

Really proud of how the Pats performed. They definitely surpassed expectations. I feel really good about this season. Shoutout to our defense for containing the offense, shoutout to the heavily battered O-Line for a great performance. Disappointed we couldn’t win it for Brady, but overall, great effort and performance.

the team was prepared in all three phases of the game. They did turn the ball over but otherwise scored more TDs than the Igles. I think that answers the question about whether Mac is an NFL QB or not. Gonzalez answered the question about being an NFL CB capable of handling an AJ Brown. Bourne, Douglas, Henry, we have some pass catchers and they are going to be well coached and directed by Billy. This is not a bad team!

Jalen Carter is a beast of making the scrimmage to focusing on a great play on attacking the Patriots defense.
Two facts about this game.
1. The Eagles coaches were outcoached by the Patriots coaches.
2. If not for the two turnovers that directly led to scores by the Eagles, the Eagles would have lost the game.
And if same can be said for hurts fumble, turnovers happen and they’re part of the game lol

The early turnovers were huge for the eagles. Judging by how the game went offensively. I dont think the eagles wouldve scored a td if it wasnt for slay and the early fumble by zeke which gave the ball at like 20 for the eagles for an easy redzone drive. The pats actially did something on offense and a lot of it. And their defense played exceptional so jjsy think about that

The Pats fought hard and tried to bring it back. If we played the first 4 minutes like the last 56 we might've beat them, but I'm happy it was at least close.
I’ll take 1-0 and it’s obviously the first week so it’ll be a bit sloppy, but hopefully the struggles today will be fixed and I expect them to be.

Love it when these teams play each other. I refer to it as the American Game since you got the Patriots and the American bird, Eagles. Such a classic matchup as their logos and uniforms clash perfectly when lined up against each other. 2 Superbowls against each other, hopefully many more. Wish they could play each year in an outta conference rivalry game. But I want their next matchup to have Eagles wear Kelly green uniforms and patriots wear their uniforms from the mid 90's. That was the best when their uniforms clashed when these squads played against each other in 90s!

Such a great last quarter. I wish Bill had opted to go for the field goals towards the end but I'm happy that it ended up being closer than what I had expected. Felt like the Pats offense was much better but all those holding calls in the end were sloppy.

Not a bad showing for the new Billy O'Brien offense even with a couple of subs on the OL and missing a couple of WRs. The defense answered questions about being able to contain a running QB. Gonzalez proved he can play even against and AJ Brown. ST made a couple or three nice returns to give the offense good field position. It's not the joke of a team we saw in 2022!

Eagles new assistant coaches were outcoached. Take away the deflection interception by Slay and Elliot fumble and Pats not only win but dominate this game. Hurts either threw into coverage or threw the ball away all day. 79 yards at halftime? Eagles D gave up huge plays because defensive coordinator was not putting guys into position to make plays. Individual efforts by Fletcher Cox helped where the coordinator failed. Long season ahead.
Hurts needs to get rid of the ball, Eagles need to work on running game.
Elliott missing that PAT ended up being a good motivator for him to be 4/4 on his fgs since we needed every single one! #birdgang
