This soundtrack reminds me that even if I keep watching that movie, it will never stop boring me. It was the movie I saw the most as a kid, and still watching
Yes BT did all the songs especially for the movie... Rob Cohen was looking at what music was played by youths at the shows and he found BT among other artists such as chemical brothers ect were popular
39:36. Listen to the piano after that. I like to picture playing a 90’s racing game and you’re selecting your car from the menu screen adding upgrades as the car is spinning slowly in a circle at the center of the screen and this music is playing in the background of the game
Exactly. The sounds instantly just remind me of the movie itself. Even if i hear this somewhere for some reason i know what and where its from but people seem to not remember. Cant blame them almost over 20 years have past.
@DHARMA FACTION you do realize though that it's just the "point break" movies story remade right? Instead of surfers we got street racers. Instead of banks we got semi trucks. Lead female role is the bad guys sister Instead of close friend. Little minor differences. But it's the same exact story. If it wasn't for those minor changes there would be a copy right issue. I love Fnf. Movie changed my life as far as cars are concerned. And so many others too. But we must give credit were credit is due. This is and always be Jonny and bohdies story copied and edited.
20 years later and I still love this score Particularly the point where Brian blows his cover and Mia has to walk away from him because Dom is enraged about the betrayal
25:30 has always been my favourite part Thats my dad, comin’ up in the pro stockcar circuit, last race of the season, a guy named kenny linder came up from the inside, final turn clipped his bumper put him into the wall at 120. I watched my dad burn to death, I remember hearing him scream, the people that were there said that he had died before the tanks blew… said it was me that was screaming
I remember being in Primary school and going to watch this in the U.K. in my old mans Supra, there was a massive car meet outside before the film was shown. I’m now 30 watching this film reminiscing! So glad I got to grow up with the original Fast and the Furious films and not what is being released now. The beginning of this soundtrack was probably one of the first times i realised I liked classical scores!
6:30 we in the fast lane at high speeds. 160 the reach your car never could achieve. we battle for position better watch your step. cause its one false move and its life or death. accelerate. life is gone in flash your up against a pro get blown right past were coming out tonight at the speed of light
I will say that I feel less alone when I see that more people feel what I feel about this movie, its soundtrack, the movie sounds much more dramatic, more real than the others, really I feel involved, it's kind of a movie that if I press play it carries me to the end.
I am with you been inspired since this came out hoping to connect with others that really dig the movies scenes and vibes. Such a great post, era, actors, like others have said I have rewatched this one over an over long before all the sequels. I'm still glad they've tried to complete a whole series and keep the spirit alive. Mr walker dying young was heartbreaking.this is an excellent time capsule of 1999 2002 era ❤also keep being reminded that BT is surely underrepresented and underrated or I would've heard this yrs ago and knew he has so many sleeper gems yr rando recommends
Not a fan of what they did after the 2nd movie... but The Fast & Furious (2001) truly felt like a movie with the music, story and cast back then... good to hear the score!
People said it's the unofficial remake of Break Point, replace surf boards with cars. Would love to see a FnF movie without organized crime, heist or robbing trucks but a pure racing movie, Wangan Midnight style.
Really appreciate it man. I'm listening to this after 20 years of the movie's premiere in June 22th of 2001. Bring good memories back specially from Paul Walker a very moving character R.I.P
I did not know that BT did the whole score. Fair play, bloody awesome! Also, 25:41 I remember that piece of music when Dom is talking to Brian about his dad's awful car accident, and beating that guy almost to death out of rage. Back when Fast & Furious had emotional depths and it was about cars...Miss that a lot 😊🥰
Still my favorite of the series. Story lines now have become so far fetched that I watch now just for laughs. Loved this idea and concept. The music is so relaxing yet exciting at the same time. I would love them to get back to the roots of what made this film awesome. The heist and always trying to be one step ahead of the law. Now they’re the best the government has to offer. 😂😂😂
BT did all the background music in fast and furious 1, NFS used Kimosabe for the intro of Underground 1, Gran Turismo 3 with MadSkillz, two feats with DJ Tiesto... He has been my inspiration.
Thank you very much for compiling all of these into one continuous video. I think there are some mistakes in the RUclips time stamps but no biggie, it’s a real pleasure to be able to listen to this in one go while working / doing something 👌

“All kinds of family” amazing piece of music. I can still hear the Supra in my head as it plays🤣complete nostalgia thank you for putting this together. Rest in peace Paul💙
Brian tyler and Fast 11 need to slow the movie back down and remember these emotional scenes with amazing scores. I used to look for these soundtracks after the movies released
At the time when the movie was still not out, their whole production thought the movie was gonna be another regular and not be successful but they were proven wrong and the actors had the same thoughts. How weird things can be if actors themselves thought they are making half the product.
