Join us this week as we sit down with Ron Wattie. Sensei Wattie is a 6th Dan chief instructor, at Merrickville Karate Club. He is known for his self defense techniques, especially using the cane, and is an Area Director for The Canadian Karate Association. The Merrickville Shotokan Karate Club is affiliated with the World Kobudo Federation. It was founded in February 1985 and has been in continuous operation for over 36 years. There are currently as many as 8 Black Belts teaching at any class, but the chief instructor, Sensei Ron Wattie, is always present and ensures that everyone teaches the same things in the same manner.
