Syekh Maulana Maghribi is a member of the first generation of Wali Songo, who spread Islam in Java. Generally people believe that Sheikh Maulana Maghribi and Sheikh Maulana Ishak are the children of Sheikh Jumadil Qubro who come from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and are still descendants of the Prophet Muhammad solawlohu alaihi wasalam.
It is believed that there are several locations to eat Syek Maulana Maghribi and all of them are authentic, one of which is on Sentono Hill near Parangtriris beach, Yogyakarta.
His arrival to the south coast of Java to preach was not without obstacles. According to folklore around the tomb, his arrival was initially opposed by local authorities, namely a Buddhist named Panembahan Selohening.
