    Excuse me, I love your content but at @ 13:15 you wrote 6/15 + 5/15 = 21/15 rather than 11/15. This change equates the final answer to x=4

    • @MOTV583
      @MOTV583 2 года назад +7

      You're correct. The answer is x=4. I worked on this problem multiple times because I kept getting x=4. I thought I did something wrong because I solved it a bit differently by eliminating the fractions when I multiplied all of the terms by the LCD, which is 15. I thought I did something wrong. Finally, I just plugged it into my calculator, and the answer is x=4. When you plug 4 in for X you will get -2/3 on both sides.
      All that aside, great content. It is a lot of work to go over so much material in two and a half hours. Small mistakes are to be expected, and we can still learn from the small errors. Thank you, I appreciate everything you've done.

    This is a very good video which gave me a good revision on my fundamentals. However there were a lot of basic calculation errors during the "Polynomial Review" section (basically the later half of the video) of the video which completely influenced the answer. An instance would be in 2:11:19, you would factor by 2x^2 not 2x thus the answer would be (x+9) (2x^2-5). I assume Brian was super tired while filming this video. Watch out guys your calculation are not wrong :)

      @@brianmclogan Also at 2:11:55 you cut out the ^2 on the 18x.. I got (x+9)(2x^2-5) if i did it right

      @1:59:23 it should be 5x=2x-6 (not -3) which would gives the -2 answer. I really appreciate your video. Helped me a lot. I'm going back to school and needed a refresher
