It’s because of Dan Quinn, and his ability to get players to buy in completely. And it’s because of the main man, Jayden Daniels.

After the 1st game of the season between the Bucs and Commanders (we did win), I posted on many pages about how Jayden Daniels looked like a potential franchise QB. While Daniels performance against the Bucs was not awe inspiring, it also was not bad, in fact it was CLEAN, he threw 0 interceptions in that game and made plays with his legs. I said and I quote "Jayden Daniels showed a ton of promise towards being a franchise QB, if the Commanders can properly train him up and he continues to improve he will be a great franchise QB for you". What I saw from Daniels showed me was a ROOKIE in his 1st NFL Debut is that he is a guy that is locked in and makes good decisions, that is the hallmark of a franchise QB. After seeing him continue that this season I think its time to say "congratulations on drafting and training up a franchise QB".

Though I do admit he needs to work on his deep ball throwing accuracy, a missed TD because of bad deep ball accuracy, and he made some rookie mistakes, but overall I think he played well against Washington. (except for those few incompletions).

You got the facts wrong in the first minute. The commanders win guaranteed a playoff spot. If they had lost and then lost next week they would have been out. Atlanta had a similar situation except they needed to win and TB loss in one of the last 2 games to make the playoffs. So Atlanta is not eliminated and Washington did not clinch a playoff birth until they beat Atlanta

As you said Penix made his second game start this year and in my opinion this is the primary MF reason why the Falcons lost. You cannot draft people and keep them on the bench that dang on long. Penix needed more playing time to familiarize himself in a NFL atmosphere. This would have given him the edge only Jaden Daniels had starting all those games. The Falcons coach need to be fired for letting Penix sit that dang on long on the bench. He was not able to polish his skills.
