Thank the universe, and Mauro Senise for compiling these fantastic flute pieces. For me the flute represents a direct connection with our ancient ancestors gathering in small groups to make sounds from a vulture's wing bone with small holes drilled to change the pitch; 50,000 years ago. As far as we know such a simple flute is the oldest known human made musical instrument after the drum, two sticks and a hollow log. Fortunately for us, Theobald Boehm refined the modern concert flute and we all get to savor the syrup. This stuff sends me out there "Daddy O". James Moody, Jean Pierre Rampal, Yusef Lateef. We need more more more. 2hrs 58 minutes of mind soothing goodness. Feel human again.
