- Where to begin... as myself and @foxynotail dig deeper into Minecraft Create Astral we begin to realise just how intense this pack can be, and make a plan to move forward. I focus on creating enough power for a huge factory to automate production of all the metals, and foxy tries to process them!

Love the fact Foxy refers to Beadstone by his full youtube name while he just calls him Foxy, not even Mr Foxy. I have a feeling like almost every Minecraft series with friends will end in there being 2 nations and war with create machines. Yes i'd love to see a tank train on the battlefield
the name is probably because me beardstone sounds like it could be a real name, while foxynotail actually kinda sounds like a username

Don't tell foxy you can just make a basalt generator and get infinite magma/blaze/ghast stuff... Also, deep slate generators are overpowered for resources...
You guys also have infinite lava... You can make an obsidian farm too by piping in lava.
This mod pack is confusing as F. But the seared stone basins and seared stone spout is what you use to pour metals. The scorched spouts and basins are for pouring liquid onto stone etc. it's pretty weird, I agree.
I believe you can also make empty castings that will allow the scorched varients to pour blocks as well.
if that forge thingy is anything like tinkers from before you need the spouts on the side not the corner because the corner blocks aren't actually touching the liquid inside.
I know that in Create: Above and Beyond you can use drains on the corners of foundries

You need to have the drains where they touch the fluids inside the smelter. You can’t use the corners of the smelter. Best basic version is to have 3x3 floor, then go out one block and up one block to make the walls then you can have a drain touching the fluid the controller in the middle and the tank on the other side (one wall) that would solve your issues.
As well as it not needing corners I believe
The Foundry actually needs corners the smelter doesn't. @Frobuzmumber I also think, that the drains can't be corner pieces
Guys you can make an obsidian generator easily since you have infinite lava. Just pump it into a block thats in contact with water and it will generate obsidian that you can mine with a drill. That way you don't have to go mining for it.
They are well aware and Foxy did it already in one of the episodes where they got the tractors

You need soul soil and not soil sand for the goldfarm, I don't think it's going to work otherwise.
I wish you wouldnt need a Portal to get there because thats not really that spacy
@MrBeardstone The scorched basin and table need casts in order to operate. The seared will work with the foundry and it will allow to just pour from the faucets with out casts. The purpose being that the scorched are better for automation because of the requirement for the casts.
For everyone saying the drain does not work in the corner for the smeltery, you are right, but a foundry requires the corner blocks and so the drains and chutes work on the corners.
The Scorched Casting Table and Basin need Gold Bars and Gold Platforms respectively for recipes that don't use a different, specific mold
No,it's because the drain is in a corner and doesn't have access to the fluids,you can't make foundries with corners
@@thegamebox4669 it looks like the drain itself is connected though, it has the animation of the fluid in the foundry
For The Foundry the tank with the lava needs to be on the same level as the controller, So just drop the tank down a block and it should work perfectly
31:34 The fantastic foundry book tells you that the scorched table and basin are useless without a cast, a foundry can yse a seared table and basin though

The Foundry is for storage and for more efficient smelting. It will return extra byproducts when melting items that the Smeltery won’t. However, the Smelter is the only one capable of creating alloys between metals. If you don’t want metals to mix, put them in a Foundry (or in their own separate storage).
For the Tinkers’ Forge, you cannot have the drains serving as corner blocks due to the requirement of one of its sides needing to be connected with the molten liquid inside the furnace. That is why most forges are built as a hollow 5x5 square excluding corners (3x3 interior)

for the Tinkers foundry, the controller is technically not part of the structure because it is sitting below the level where the molten liquids are. a functioning foundry should have a base (3x3 at y=64, just as an example) and the walls need to be one block out (5x5) and up from that (y=65 at the lowest)

31:18 Some tinker mods make you have the faucet block not on a side. They make you have it on any side but not any corner block.

if scorched foundry works like the tinkers one then the corners dont count cause its not connected to the centre
Mr beardstone you can get zinc nuggets, brass nuggets, copper nuggets, and i think iron nugggets by putting tuff through crushing wheels
The forge bit cant be on the corner it has to be on a side that is touching the molten obsidian

The forge should be able to be on the corner, you can see it melted the obsidian. The issue is he needs gold platforms/bars to work as an "empty cast" for the scorched versions. It mentions it in the fantastic foundry book I think
@danimedina4969 that is just how the part looks if you place it on it's own it looks like that and yes and no they used both the casting basin and casting table. the casting basin doesn't need any casting pattern. Atleast in the version I was playing on this was the case
To make the blaze farm an afk farm you can use a mechanical saw/drill to kill the blazes
I believe you have to have the drain beneath or on level with the molten liquid inside for it to drain. Or you might need it to not be on a corner.
Okay, the seared faucets need to go on the SIDES of the smelter, not the CORNER, at least from what I recall.

I really like this series but something I really don't understand is why continue to build on a huge concrete platform and not use the Minecraft landscape 🤷♂

Gotta say, I started this modpack after watching episode fun. It's really fun, but it changes a *lot* of recipes. I had to unlearn a lot of my muscle memory from the mods. It does a good job explaining the changes in the quest book text, but it's really important to read it carefully.
They've changed way too much (a lot of it for no reason seemingly other than to add more grind) - in my opinion!

I think you can't have the drains in corners of the smelter for it to work, last I checked it needs to be in an open spot, that might just me playing older versions though
Ya know if you use a action machine give it a sword it can auto farm them than if you run a collection system underneath the blazes and have them go through some sorters you can auto farm blaze rods and xp because the auto farmer counts as expiring the blazes they still drop xp two farms in one

i told fox too, scorched version of table and basin is not work witout mold thing.
technically these table and basin are three-slot-machine.
one the mold slot - without output item kind hooper
seond the moten slot - slot for molten lquid kind somthing. you can use kind pipe to input and "output" fluid.
last the result slot - olnly output item kind hopper but . aloso prevent riquid input when fill it.
seard version are can work without mold and if result is mold than it return to mold slot.
it help when you do handwork thing some part or somthing but it has problem when automation.
first, if result can use as mold and recipe are consume mold or none mold recipe than item is not output.
second. if same fluid has mold consume recipe and none mold recipe at same(Example. Quartz has cobble to andesite recipe and quartz recipe at dfalut recipe)
than, if mold item is not enought than fluid is filling emty and become don't want recipe
but scorched are not working without mold and result alway output slot so prevent wron recipe result
for that scorched version, they has "empty" mold for none-mold-recipe. casting table use gold bar(not ingot.) and castin basin use gold scafording.
Not sure but the nether grout foundry is bugged obviously
But you can make a normal seared foundry that works the same and isn't bugged (hopefully because I haven't played this modpack yet)

Try using a normal seared foundry as it works the same as the one you made but with normal seared bricks and hopefully it works as I haven't played the modpack yet and don't know if it is also bugged or not
So provided you haven't figured out what the problem is with your foundry in the last 10 hours or so, the issue is that the scorched faucet doesn't work with it, because you have to use a seared faucet. It doesn't say this anywhere in the modpack to my findings while playing and I just had to figure it out, it's a stupid bug and I don't know why it happens but it's whatever, k'know?

Tinkers construct dont see the corner blocks, the smelter needs to be without corners
You can see it's working just fine smelting. The problem is the stupid scorched basins/spouts are confusing and they don't do metals through them. It's a dumb design flaw.
