This year, half a mont ago was held Worlds 2024...and our "Unkillable Demon King was unkillable one more time" (quote from the last game from final series). It was epic, truly epic, T1 and Faker were 1 game from NOT qualifying to Worlds, and still get there. They faced hardest opponents of all teams, defeated team to whom they losed every time, faced Strongest team in finals...lost 1 match, won second, lost third, won fourth and it was match point 2-2. And in last 5 game Faker did truly miraculous plays 2 times and reversed the game winning it for his team. Faker won again, for 5th time. And even got final MVP. Proved he is still the GOAT

34:25 Yes, 2024 Worlds recently happened. Linkin Park did the anthem with their new singer Emily Armstrong. They even did it live at the finals ceremony. In the official video for it, T1 is depicted as the final boss. There was another great worlds video "Rise" that featured him as well.
Great reaction, you said you were someone that tends to get "overly invested" in the things you watch, but I think that's a super valuable quality to have as a reactor. Love you!
The arenas is mostly for all of esport but LoL is completely different, it moved up so high that they had to take the O2 arena in london which has a capacity of 50000 people i think. The arena you were looking at was like 4k people 😂. LoL worlds finals this year was one of the best series ever played and it reached 50 million viewers globally 💀
30:11 faker literally wasn’t close to be healed again but he said he watched a lot of games and played ranked games as much as he could to atleast keep his muscle memory going while being injured. But he came back still injured because he was afraid his team needed him badly to get qualified for the worlds. And he had to sit differently learn to hold his mouse and keyboard differently t in order to be able to play with the least amount of pain. But he still needed hand Massage Treatments after every game series he played. So he was not okay but he kept pushing
you have no idea of how muuuch i loved your reaction, so real and you're truly interested in everything. Don't even worry about pausing as long as you don't speak over the video cause you could miss some important parts. I'll be waiting for other league of legends reactions!
For people who dont know, esport was already a thing in East Asia since the 2000. Many of us don't get to watch those live back then, but we knew it existed. Tournaments grew as the internet spread globally. Live events and streaming made it easier for fans to experience the thrill.
starcraft was always the typical korean e-sport. but Starcraft E-Sports dies slowly. so they needed a new title. LoL was the new thing but after 2014 the "korean exodus" nearly killed the e-sport in korea completly. When SKT T1 didnt had won this year nearly everything, we would maybe not have this region anymore or not even close to LEC and LPL.
@Dermi_Sky I remember a lot of Korean play StarCraft. I played it once and got so into it, but as more games came out, from LAN to online, Starcraft got left behind. Kespa shut down the team years ago. SKT's losing streak, however, didn't deter growth. Statistically, gaming is still good, SKT1 was just not in its best form for years.
You should definitely check out the T1 Rose Together RedBull documentary if you want a more in-depth look into how they won in 2023 and the journey they took that year to get there
What's more impressive is the fact the south korea didn't have a dedicated LoL server back in the day so during the early days of league they would suffer from high ping which made them kinda "late" to the international scene but lo and behold they are now one of the major regions in the world
If you liked this you definitely should check out the worlds opening ceremony. this years was imo the best. Also if you like the lore and backstory with players this year they made crazy good teasers for the semi finals and finals before the matches to hype up the matches. GenG vs T1 Teaser 2024 and BLG vs T1 Teaser 2024 where really well made and hype as a recommendation
This year they went from barely qualifying for the world championship (4th seed) to winning it all ✊ Congratulations to Faker for his 5th Trophy 🏆 & to T1
Theres something like 169 unique champions in league of legends, somewhat split between 5 roles you can play AKA Support, Marksman, Mid, Jungle and Top, so the fact he's played 83 is actual insanity. Something else to note LCK refers to the South Korean league, and LPL the Chinese league, and Faker/T1 have never lost to a chinese team at the world championships in these last 11 years.
I want to expand a bit on the creativity angle. When you play a pick nobody else play, they have 0 experience against it. A large part of League is knowledge based. It's the first thing I learned when I watched somebody commentate their play. They knew when they had enough damage for a kill for example and when to back off. Decision making basically. He won his fifth and his best plays were yes, skillful. But more importantly he's seen as a God for his decisions. It's something many COULD do but likely wouldn't. He saved his team several times in the finals with these decisions winning his 5th worlds. So on this champion nobody else plays you gain experience vs the usual champions. The ones everyone else plays. You know how to play against them. But they don't know how to play against you. They don't know your damage, survivability, etc. Of course this is balanced by something being meta/normal for a good reason. So execution is everything because usually this creative pick will have much less room for error. As Faker himself said here, initially he could get away with these non-meta pics because of the gulf in pure skill. But like in most e-sports that skill gap shrank. Faker no longer could just do "whatever". Today calling him the best player in the world comes with some caveats. He's clutch as hell. Stupidly so. He's a teamleader. Likely the best there is. But in terms of pure early game he's expected to lose to several people these days. Simply doing this for 11 years now and still being here at all is incredible. Winning world 11 years later is just incredible.
They won this year as well and not just that they won, they were with their backs against the wall the opponent had the upper hand and two games in a row faker single handedly turns the match in their favor with absolute insane plays. Absolute recommended to watch Game 4 and 5 of 2024 Worlds Final.
Yes opening ceremonies too! they're pretty cool as well. And yeah Faker and T1 won this year's Worlds as well, making this his 5th worlds win. The GOAT.
26:15 Dragons and other monsters are around the map. There are a few important ones- dragons and the Baron Nashor. They both give effects to the entire team and can be the difference between winning and losing sometimes. They're called 'objectives' and there's a role called "the Jungler" whose main job is to get them.
10:54 - that's an old Urgot (before getting rework), his R backthen was switching his place with the enemy (faker in the vid) and faker's champs has the Q to dash that almost look like he is teleporting
you should check out the opening and closing ceremonies. or the highlights of the finals Faker been in. It will blow your mind. Worlds Tournament always start sometime around SEP with the Finals usually ends on late or early November.
Whats so insane about the comeback 2023 is, that T1 was essentially the same team minus Faker for the 31 Day loosing streak and even when Faker came back to continue playing it was obvious his injury was handicapping him. Still just his presence there and his shotcalling an game knowledge was enough to transform the perma loosing last place into the world champions
13:41 Funny that you said that xD because Ambition indeed ended up becoming Faker's fan. Just yesterday he played lockdown company with Faker and he went all giddy the entire time lol
FUN FACT: On the skin they gave Zed, they put a reference to that play he did with the champion. The voice lines goes like "Look at the skills, look at the moves, ZED what was that?"
This accolade, Hall of Legends was made before Worlds 2024 (happens yearly between October-November), in the middle of the year, so the Worlds wins are at 4. They just won the 5th (only team to have 5 Worlds, back to back from Worlds 23 with the same roster, remember as well that they made finals in Worlds 22, so only team 2 get 3 consecutive finals apprarances..and the only team to get back to back TWICE before any other team in the whole world of LOL to get 2 championships) last Nov 2, and Faker got his 2nd Finals MVP (only person as well). A lot of people said he should not have been the first to be inducted since he is still actively playing- but nobody comes close to his stats and wins.
22:05 The reason why he got choked up was because kkoma was t1s coach from jump But for a few years he coached damwon And he was the coach of damwon when they beat t1
Bro you should definitely react to the Worlds opening ceremony, 2019 and 2024 are the best imo, you'll be able to see the production around it, the introduction of the finalists and the crowd that's around, i think you'll really enjoy it
22:30 kkoma was fakers former coach but he left when a lot of people left t1 and then when faker was defeated It wqs by the new team kkoma coached that’s why faker came up to him and said good job sinercily
on 2nd of November he became World Champion 5th time - second time in a row, third time in a row in a final. Also League is probably the game with the highest skill celling and it hasnt even been reached yet by anyone, not even Faker reached the full potential of the game. Everyday something new comes that people find out they can do.
You could also ask google to get your answers :) Bong Joon-ho = movie producer from south korea, that even won the oscars Kim Yuna = Ice skate dancer, who won the 2010 olympic gold medal Son Heung-min = footballer from south korea, played in Bundesliga and Premier League, I think they won the gold medal at asian games, but thats up to you to google :)
Basically, LOL is 5v5 arena BUT there is few things : 3 LANES : Top (tank champ),Mid (Faker plays it, its magical damage) ) and BOT (ADC physical damage) with his support (heal him and protect him) and JUNGLE (where someone is roaming killing camps for gaining exp and gold , the 2 big ones are Drake And NASHOR they are PVE The little thing moving by themself are "creep", when you kill it it gives you exp and GOLD and with this gold you can manage to buy item to be stronger and stronger
I'm not Korean, but Faker's status as the GOAT of League of Legends is unshakable. He is even more iconic to LoL than Jordan is to basketball. What makes him even more remarkable is his self-discipline, kindness, and humility-qualities that most star athletes lack.
you will hear it often, but man, league of legends could not have asked for a better person to represent it. He rose to the top and changed the sport entirely.
This video legacy for his induction to the hall of legend was made before his 5th Worlds trophy. The greatest esport athlete to touch the keyboard and mouse.
Son Heung-min - footballer, play for Tottenham Hotspur, won ASIAD 18 BTS - Boyband, the most famous one, some MV reach 1 billion view Bong Joon-ho - Well, you know Parasite 2019? Yeah he direct that Faker - 5th Worlds in London BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
about the crowdsize, there are 4 games i know that can draw these amount of people: league of legends, dota 2, fortnite and csgo/cs2, all other games dont even come close
5:26 You probably wont understand this clip fully unless you start playing the game, but I'll try to explain in a nutshell what happened here. I'm not doubting your ability to understand this, I just remember myself seeing League clips for the first time xD In this era of League of Legends, mirror matchups (one player from each team playing the same character) were possible, and this is a Zed mirror matchup, meaning both Faker and Ryu are playing Zed. (Most) champions in League have 4 abilities: Q, W, E, and R, R being the ultimate ability with a higher cooldown (it takes longer for you to be able to use it again). Zed's Q throws a shuriken in a straight line. His W throws a "Living Shadow" in a straight line, which stays there for a few seconds. The shadows replicate Zed's damaging abilities, so his Q and E. If you throw a Q (a shuriken), the shadow throws one as well. Zed can press W again to switch places with the shadow. His E slashes around him, dealing damage. If you have a shadow somewhere, the shadow slashes around itself as well. His R (ultimate) teleports him to the target, leaving a shadow where he used his ultimate from. When he arrives at the target, he has a few seconds to damage the target. When the "few seconds" are over, the ultimate explodes, damaging the target based on the damage Zed dealt to them in those "few seconds". Zed can press R again to switch places with the shadow left behind where he used his ultimate from. So Zed can have 2 shadows and himself to deal damage with his Q and E abilities, meaning that he can throw 3 shurikens at once, and he can cover a larger area with his slash. He can also teleport twice during a fight, once to his W shadow, and once to his R shadow. Faker's play in this clip is a very advanced and clever use of Zed's shadows, especially for its time. Nowadays, probably a Gold or Platinum rank Zed main player could replicate this play's mechanics. But back then literally no one had mechanical skills like Faker. The fact that he started the fight on 25% HP vs Ryu's 100% HP is the cherry on top. If this wasn't clear enough, but you want to learn more, I recommend looking at Zed's abilities one by one on the official League of Legends website. 10:50 And uhhh, he pressed Q...xD That's Master Yi's Q ability, Alpha Strike. He clicks on a target, disappears until he slashes 4 times, and appears at the target. It sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is xD Master Yi is actually one of the easier champions in the game. 11:53 Back then it probably wasn't normal for video games, other then Counter Strike Global Offensive (CSGO) and League of Legends, and maybe Evo, a large scale eSports event for fighting games (Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc). Nowadays eSports events can fill very big stadiums.
If you havent you should watch the world championship finals opening ceremonies. 36:24 and faker is shown in many cinematics as an anime character to hype up world championship.
You should also watch the other videos that got released next to the documentary like "The Numbers" and "The Plays". Also T1 and Faker ran it back this year and won again with the same 5 team members meaning Faker is now a 5 time world champion and he got MVP this tournament so he is the only player with two MVP titles at worlds.
Faker is the legend that carved its name in the history of League of Legends that many have admire even up to this point and for those who supported him his downfall is also ours to bear specially when he lost for the first time
Faker is: 1) 5 World Championship champion (2013,2015,2015,2023,2024), 2) 2 times World Championship vice-champion (2017, 2022), 3) 10 times champion of Korean League (LCK), 4) 2 MSI Champion (Mid-Season the biggest tournament), 5) 2 times MVP of worlds (Most Valuable Player title) 6) The only guy who won 2 times worlds championship 2 times in row (2015-16 and 2023-2024), 7) a Dude who won first championship as a debutant 17-years old kid in 2013, 8) a winner of All-Star Paris 2014 9) a winner of IEM Season X 10) a winner of 2022 Asian Games 11) a winner of Esports World Cup 2024 12) a guy who beat many rekords- like 500 kills on worlds championship, more than 100 matches on wordls championship, more than 80 characters played on the biggest torunament (he liked surprises enemies with champions not signed to his role (midlaner) at the start of the career and adapt to changes through years) etc etc.

Kespa shut down the team years ago. SKT's losing streak, however, didn't deter growth. Statistically, gaming is still good, SKT1 was just not in its best form for years.
1:36 this is the guy you don't want to see in mid lane
this is the guy you don't want to play against at worlds*
Yuna kim is Korean female figure skater.
She won sevaral olympic figure skating games and got World records too❤
You should definitely check out the T1 Rose Together RedBull documentary if you want a more in-depth look into how they won in 2023 and the journey they took that year to get there
You should watch the "numbers faker " too see how good this dude is
I dont know if you remember the music video of "Rise", but that protag you see in there? That is this Ambition guy and about Worlds 2017
What's more impressive is the fact the south korea didn't have a dedicated LoL server back in the day so during the early days of league they would suffer from high ping which made them kinda "late" to the international scene but lo and behold they are now one of the major regions in the world
Now if you have higher than 5 ping they will call you trash lol
If you liked the Hall of Legends video I would also recommend reacting to "How T1 Defied All Odds | T1 Rose Together"
44:50 this part allways gives me Goosebumps, him walking by his shirts and trophies with the music and the annoucer clips is just perfect.
The king came back to regain his throne and he decided that he not want to leave anymore
He won again :))
bro whattt i used to binge your fairy tail reactions a couple years back. i was nawt expecting this crossover lol.
Do the opening ceremony as well if you can, it was very good this year
They won this year as well and not just that they won, they were with their backs against the wall the opponent had the upper hand and two games in a row faker single handedly turns the match in their favor with absolute insane plays.
Absolute recommended to watch Game 4 and 5 of 2024 Worlds Final.
I was rooting for blg but I have to admit Faker is the GOAT and T1 deserved the win
Yes opening ceremonies too! they're pretty cool as well.
And yeah Faker and T1 won this year's Worlds as well, making this his 5th worlds win.
The GOAT.
45:26 Oh yes he did. 5 Worlds trophies for the Brocoli Man.
26:15
Dragons and other monsters are around the map. There are a few important ones- dragons and the Baron Nashor. They both give effects to the entire team and can be the difference between winning and losing sometimes. They're called 'objectives' and there's a role called "the Jungler" whose main job is to get them.
neel really going deep into league
We're in the timeline where more people are digging deep in LoL, thanks to Arcane
@@sorianojoshuaczar9854 yeah and im all for it
10:54 - that's an old Urgot (before getting rework), his R backthen was switching his place with the enemy (faker in the vid) and faker's champs has the Q to dash that almost look like he is teleporting
you should check out the opening and closing ceremonies.
or the highlights of the finals Faker been in.
4:40 no dude you're totally right. Faker is adorable.
Not gonna lie, one of my fav things about your content is how you'll just hop into something because you wanna learn and know more about it.
Well he won this year's worlds too , and I a crazy way too lol he kinda carried again 🔥🔥🔥 so now he have 5 worlds
He's not the main character of an anime. He's the main character of League of Legends Esports.
32:40 lol it’s actually the exact same announcer for when they were beaten by DK and here when they beat LNG, Drakos
13:41 Funny that you said that xD because Ambition indeed ended up becoming Faker's fan. Just yesterday he played lockdown company with Faker and he went all giddy the entire time lol
Another day of Still waiting classroom of elite s3 or continue 86?
Btw he just won his 5th worlds title a month ago, with probably some of the impressive and iconic clutch moments.
FUN FACT: On the skin they gave Zed, they put a reference to that play he did with the champion.
The voice lines goes like "Look at the skills, look at the moves, ZED what was that?"
You nailed the reaction dude
I want him to see the teaser video of 2024 quaters, semi and finals
22:05
The reason why he got choked up was because kkoma was t1s coach from jump
But for a few years he coached damwon
And he was the coach of damwon when they beat t1
Bro you should definitely react to the Worlds opening ceremony, 2019 and 2024 are the best imo, you'll be able to see the production around it, the introduction of the finalists and the crowd that's around, i think you'll really enjoy it
As people has mentioned the same team went to beat the LPL titan BLG this year and won their 5th....total cinema
Tbh next to watch would be T1 vs BLG worlds 2024 finals teaser :D or T1 worlds 2024 montage :D
You could also ask google to get your answers :)
Bong Joon-ho = movie producer from south korea, that even won the oscars
Kim Yuna = Ice skate dancer, who won the 2010 olympic gold medal
Son Heung-min = footballer from south korea, played in Bundesliga and Premier League, I think they won the gold medal at asian games, but thats up to you to google :)
would also recommend watching some highlights of this years finals.
Basically, LOL is 5v5 arena BUT there is few things : 3 LANES : Top (tank champ),Mid (Faker plays it, its magical damage) ) and BOT (ADC physical damage) with his support (heal him and protect him) and JUNGLE (where someone is roaming killing camps for gaining exp and gold , the 2 big ones are Drake And NASHOR they are PVE
The little thing moving by themself are "creep", when you kill it it gives you exp and GOLD and with this gold you can manage to buy item to be stronger and stronger
He has won the first ever eSports World Cup and another Worlds Championship since the making of that video btw
I'm not Korean, but Faker's status as the GOAT of League of Legends is unshakable. He is even more iconic to LoL than Jordan is to basketball.
What makes him even more remarkable is his self-discipline, kindness, and humility-qualities that most star athletes lack.
Faker and his team T1 originally known as SKT T1 won the world championship 2024 and Faker currently have 5 World Championship Titles to his name.
you will hear it often, but man, league of legends could not have asked for a better person to represent it. He rose to the top and changed the sport entirely.
45:28 he did, a bit more than 2 weeks ago,👑🐐
@45:42 that's his signature pose plus the shush one.😊
This video legacy for his induction to the hall of legend was made before his 5th Worlds trophy. The greatest esport athlete to touch the keyboard and mouse.
nah bro, Faker's title is officially the Unkillable Demon King, imagine being the only human in history to be called the Demon King. he is him
Son Heung-min - footballer, play for Tottenham Hotspur, won ASIAD 18
BTS - Boyband, the most famous one, some MV reach 1 billion view
Bong Joon-ho - Well, you know Parasite 2019? Yeah he direct that
Faker - 5th Worlds in London BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
32:39 it's the exact same caster haha 😆 his name is Drakos, one of the best league casters
He just won the championship this year too!
about the crowdsize, there are 4 games i know that can draw these amount of people: league of legends, dota 2, fortnite and csgo/cs2, all other games dont even come close
5:26 You probably wont understand this clip fully unless you start playing the game, but I'll try to explain in a nutshell what happened here. I'm not doubting your ability to understand this, I just remember myself seeing League clips for the first time xD
In this era of League of Legends, mirror matchups (one player from each team playing the same character) were possible, and this is a Zed mirror matchup, meaning both Faker and Ryu are playing Zed.
10:50 And uhhh, he pressed Q...xD
That's Master Yi's Q ability, Alpha Strike.
I really love this reactor..❤
they won again btw this year
5th world champ
mvp: faker
currently there is 169 champions in league of legends during release there was 40
I hope you'll watch the LoL cinematics at some point. The worlds songs are basically movies, and that trend is also in the cinematics
I recommend watch best memories and moments from every year (2016-2024)
2022 the best
Cinematics are the best thing out there from league no doubt !!
If you havent you should watch the world championship finals opening ceremonies. 36:24 and faker is shown in many cinematics as an anime character to hype up world championship.
The 2024 win was even more impressive. They lost first blood in all 5 games
You should react to the Video that displays his stats, also on the league of legends channel
"the plays" is not that good. Faker had way better plays then this velkoz clip
Chinematics and Opening Ceremonies are a must for u please do them too
My professional LOL career for 4 years gave me Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Gotta check out the Worlds playoff teasers from 2023 and 2024
Faker is the legend that carved its name in the history of League of Legends that many have admire even up to this point and for those who supported him his downfall is also ours to bear specially when he lost for the first time
"or those who supported him his downfall is also ours to bear." but for this we got a worlds title more then IWD and this was worth it
@Dermi_Sky Definitely worth it
You really gotta watch all opening ceremonies for worlds, there's a ton more people to see lol and the ceremonies are crazy high budget
Faker is:
1) 5 World Championship champion (2013,2015,2015,2023,2024),
2) 2 times World Championship vice-champion (2017, 2022),
3) 10 times champion of Korean League (LCK),
4) 2 MSI Champion (Mid-Season the biggest tournament),
5) 2 times MVP of worlds (Most Valuable Player title)
6) The only guy who won 2 times worlds championship 2 times in row (2015-16 and 2023-2024),
7) a Dude who won first championship as a debutant 17-years old kid in 2013,
8) a winner of All-Star Paris 2014
9) a winner of IEM Season X
10) a winner of 2022 Asian Games
11) a winner of Esports World Cup 2024
12) a guy who beat many rekords- like 500 kills on worlds championship, more than 100 matches on wordls championship, more than 80 characters played on the biggest torunament (he liked surprises enemies with champions not signed to his role (midlaner) at the start of the career and adapt to changes through years) etc etc.
After losing 2022's World Championship, Faker won 2 in a row. He is now a 5-time World Champion. 🔥
10:40 that master yi pick is partially responsible for why i mained that character when i started playing league.
litteraly all of us mained yi because of this pick when we all started league. nobody can tell me he didnt
19:03 like you said, faker made the grand comeback ever possible
37:56 those are called Hanoks (korean traditional buildings/houses).
