      Thanks for the support. You will get the same machine as in the video (without the MINI-PC hanging on the back, feeders need to be printed). It would be great if you could make assembly and test videos from the user's point of view and give some suggestions.
      Have fun pick and place!

    Hi! Can you please tell me if the placer and the bamboo feeders can handle mini-melf and WSON very well?

  • @oliverjones2239
    @oliverjones2239 Год назад +4

    Seems like a good machine, I think it could be a great machine with more documentation, specifications and info on the machine is quite scarce on the product page/website. It's very solid however, is it attached to the workbench? Would love to see an attempt at full speed!

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  Год назад +3

      Thanks. The documentation is a lot of work, so I'll have to do it gradually.
      The machine is placed directly on the desktop, but with 3D printed enlarged feet with silicone pads. The machine can move faster, but will bring more vibration and noise. I will demonstrate it later at a faster speed.

    What a nice project, so glad I found it! I'm thinking about buying a pandaplacer, I'm a bit hesitant though because I would need to mostly place 0402. Do you have any recommendations for feeders that are compatible and work reliably with 0402? Or is your feeder design upgraded that much at this point that it should work?

    This looks like a great little machine. I'm new to the PNP part of manufacturing but i am indeed looking into it rapidly with this machine at the top of my list. Is there a good source for parts and materials that warrant a machine like this vs getting PCB assembly done from the PCB manufacturer? I'm in a rabbit hole when it comes to finding parts on a reel for a good price, or cut tape solutions. Honestly, I'm slightly confused when looking for them. Cheers!

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks. It is now easier and cheaper to buy cut tape parts, such as lcsc.com, which many people use now. Small desktop PnPs are not as fast as commercial machines and are more suitable for DIY, R&D, and small-volume pilot production. It is expected that with the gradual development, future machines will become more and more efficient and easy to use.

    Does your feeder works with RC-0402 parts ?

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  Год назад +1

      Hi, at this stage AS1 is not able to handle 0402 components stably. I will continue to make some design updates. Also, the feeder system is standalone and can use any size compatible feeder system. Stay tuned.

  • @iQuacker712
    @iQuacker712 Год назад

    Do you intend to design a drag feeder? My designs are all 0402 and I have many different values on my boards. This means that the more narrow the feeder, the better.

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  Год назад

      Hi, the current priority is to complete the design of the AS1 series feeders and optimize the performance as much as possible. The A1 machine has an open frame, allowing you to use any size compatible feeder system, or design your own feeder as needed. Perhaps more later, there will be a drag feeder reference design.

    • @iQuacker712
      @iQuacker712 Год назад

      @@pandaplacer Thanks for the information. I was digging around and found a 3D printable push-pull feeder reference design that has promise.

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  Год назад +1

      Yes, @markmaker4345 has a good push-pull feeder design, but because the A1 is a bit compact, it may need to improve the design or only be mounted on the front side of the frame. I had an similiar design before, but the performance was unstable and not as good as AS1, so I didn't finish it.

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  Год назад +1

      At the current stage, BambooFeeder-AS1 feeder is not yet able to handle 0402 components stably because of component jumping and positioning accuracy issues. I will do a series of optimization design to handle 0402 as much as possible. Also, in the future, there will be geared motor based feeders.
      Yes, AS1 will be open source, the design is just not all finished yet. See pandaplacer.com

    I contacted this person, Leo. SEEMS TO BE A FRAUD!!! Be ware! I was in the process of ordering one, but he kept changing the deal about delivery. Then I called him out and he said that he was in this just to take people's money.

    • @pandaplacer
      @pandaplacer  Год назад +10

      Hi, I don't know why you say that. Maybe it's just because I didn't fulfil your request to place an order twice because of the pressure of the order accumulation? I guess that's honesty rather than fraud?
      Also, why do you say I am just taking people's money? If that's the case, shouldn't I be taking more orders? Do I need to spend 2 years designing a product and then just to scam a few orders? Also, the AliExpress isn't my own wordpress/shopify website, I don't receive any payment until 2 weeks after the user confirms receipt.
      If you're B* W*, I'd say it's just that I didn't meet your demands, we didn't make any deals, you didn't place any orders, I didn't attack you, and you don't need to register a new account to post your imagination. I understand your dissatisfaction, but at the moment I have limited capacity.
      I did make a mistake, and I have stopped receiving new orders. Because I made all the PCBs myself (A1 did most of the SMD work), plus a lot of pre-processing and pre-assembly work, plus more accessories than other products, the total workload was far more than I thought. It's only in the last week that I've found a suitable helper.
      Some users have already received their package and have successfully assembled and run the machine. I did not ask to leave user comments on the store page, they can do so as they wish.
      All current delayed orders will be sent out in the next 1-3 days (sorry for the delay, many thanks to everyone for their patience).
      All interested and doubtful users can continue to wait and see. I have confidence in my product and it will be better and better.

    • @RogerWilco486
      @RogerWilco486 Год назад +9

      Your accusation is completely unwarranted, and Leo is no fraud. I ordered and received exactly what was promised--more in fact, as he included a vacuum reservoir and a neat little panda bear as a bonus, as well as plenty of spare screws, t-nuts, fittings, and hoses. He responds to emails promptly, offers excellent support, and after following the detailed instructions he provided with the order, my machine is running smoothly. You should be ashamed of yourself.

      I just received mine yesterday, as ordered. We had to wait quite a bit, Leo had a few delays, but he is very responsive and kept communicating very well. Just to tell it is not a fraud, in my opinion, just a small manufacturer with a great product, doing it's best.

      Unfortunately, you're also wrong in this imagination. Until the order is completed (buyer confirms receipt), even the shipping costs are advanced by me. I'm just small&slow right now, no other reason.
      You can be dissatisfied, but don't make it up, it's pointless.
