I get both frustrated and relieved when I see these things that have taken SO MUCH of my time in the past being done so easily and then knowing I can do them so much better in the future! Thank you for sharing this knowledge with us!
I want to learn how to use photoshop, but couldn't find channels that I liked, and I also get distracted very easily, your shorts starting appearing on my yt today and your videos are so engaging and actually helpful, this video is something that I recently struggled with while making an infographic on canva 😭
If your composition is best suited for Photoshop, you do this in Photoshop. Expanding your capabilities in one piece of software allows you to stay in the zone while creating large compositions, instead of jumping around different products for editing different layers. It would be quite silly to do background replacement and touchups in Photoshop, then export the file to InDesign just to get text layout, then bring it back into Photoshop for text compositing later on in the process.
@@mikec2845 photoshop is for image manipulation. If you have indesign there should be no good reason to do any of this in photoshop. I didn’t know Adobe tools had such bad integration with each other
@@mikec2845absolutely disagree, whenever its time to do or edit something with vectors I will jump between illustrator and photoshop I will not do any vector work in photoshop when it can be done so much more easily and better in illustrator
@@ericktellez7632 that's personal preference for your workflow, but there is a great deal of truth in understanding the full capability of one piece of software
You know you can be a professional k owing just 50% or even less, of what he knows with photoshop. It's crazy how many feature it has that most people probably dont use. I wonder if theres a manual, or he just figures out if theres such a feature he knows where to look for it.
11 years using PS and I didn't know I could do this. In my defense, since Illustrator a came up, I only use PSd to create the images and add text in illustrator or InDesign
I always loved these super variable possibilities in Adobe software, they are so intuitively reachable, easy to access, layered just in very simple 37 clicks, such an easy equivalent of building own mini-home nuclear reactor, what a piece of cake mmmhhmmmm yes... Don't you agree?? 😂
This is the Adobe equivalent of using a can of beans to pound in a nail. Umesh is so suave that a lot of people might start shopping for a new hammer in the canned goods aisle.
If you show where to find that setting instead of keyboard shortcuts, i can remember it easily, instead of 3 key combo of 3 combos in 1 video. Don't get me wrong, you video very informative. But watching your shorts while on phone and not while opening Photoshop, im gonna need a pen and paper.
Around 17 years ago I started my career in Photoshop. I am grateful to the skill as I earnt enough to get employed, married and progress in career. Unfortunately or fortunately all employers asked for skills beyond photoshop and I was struggling to keep with everything including HTML and css plus marketing tools. I realised photoshop had to be left behind as new kids join the skill at a cheaper cost. Agencies hire photoshop guys but the work is too demanding. When I watch these videos they seem great but I see AI is going to make everything photoshop about typing and less tools.
This man makes me feel like an amateur every day
"learn" never stops
Totally agree! 😅
Unfollow him before you develop an inferiority complex...
Fr
you do it for enough days you become him
This guy actually read the instruction manual
Finally a good original comment👍
Nah, this guy WROTE the Instruction Manual!
Nah, the instruction manual created based on this guy videos
Thank you for making this a Short Video! As opposed to people making tutorials that go on and on without ever getting to the point. Thank you!

Whoa. We've been using Photoshop for years and never learned this action. Every day is a new opportunity to learn ☝🏾😮
InDesign: Has left the chat
Plus in photoshop the text gets rasterized and blurred in most of the times
@@Worldp766only when you actually rasterize the text layer
@@Glaxeswhen you export, it will rasterize it even if you don't rasterize the layer
@@99temporal yes because you're exporting to a raster format, such as PNG or Jpg, Photoshop in the end of the day is a raster application
You have blown my mind 😮
Thank you, super useful!

A very well earned subscribe click. Good work guy. Best
amazing
Fun fact about this video
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet is often used as a placeholder for text, which is why it's used in this video
mind blown.
Ohhh this is what i need
Now select select in the selection of select
This kind of work is better in InDesign
Still good to know tho
This man knows photoshop better than adobe people 😅❤
Adobe Indesign: "Oh come on Photoshop, you can be better than that."
The best!!!
Every magazine ever:
Photoshop Master he is...
If you want to do it once, line by line is faster
I won't do this in photoshop. This best to be done inside InDesign.

InDesign is better when the text might need to be changed last minute. In a lot of corporations and industries, this is a necessity.
Thank you

Genius
Photoshop reads this guy
It's still crazy to me, that the most basic indesign features are so convoluted to replicate in photoshop.
You are going to heaven!
Sir that’s awesome. I gotta upgrade my ps tho from cs6 to latest
Thanku sir
Awesome
Please make a course I am willing to pay to learn your ways man!
