I feel like in some very rare cases, it would be nice because it would be like getting sustain without holding down the sustain pedal.

i've played on a piano with such issue, and trust me i had to give up because none of what i knew was playable

I liked the weird afterglows. Play a piece where it makes sense or come up with one. Improvise. Would love to try it
